I know that Black Veil Brides means a lot to many of their fans. Here you can have your chance to tell your story, or someone else's. Let the stories inspire you. Let them comfort you. Let us be here for you. (:

My story is that of my best friend. She's had a really rough life. From abuse, to relationship issues, to deaths. More recently, deaths. Her grandmother, who she's lived with along with her mother for most of her life, died four to five months ago. To make things worse, her mother died two days before her 21st birthday (one day before Thanksgiving of '11). She has suicidal issues that I've been helping her with, but I feared that the loss of her grandmother and mom would push her over the edge.

Then she told me that she found Black Veil Brides in a new light. She had been listening to Saviour from their 2011 album Set the World On Fire and it saved her. Now when she feels sad or feels those evil thoughts circling around her, she thinks of Black Veil Brides and remembers that she's not alone, that she needs to fight. She doesn't want to give in. So, I must say thank you to every single member of Black Veil Brides: Thank you Andy, Jinxx, Jake, Ashley, and CC (yes, even Sandra!). You have given my best friend a light to follow out of the darkness. <3 I owe everything to you. (:

My friend went through somewhat of the same events except sh elost boh parents ended up in an orphanage and had no other fmily. I wouil dvisit her, and the more and more times I visited her the more she kept talking about suicide and just the thought of dying and so I would go over and listen to her and I was there for her but one day, I visited her I found out they took her to the hospital, that was nearly the end, I found BVB, off one of my other friends an dI introduced it to her and since that day she has been thinkin less and less of dying and suicide. It made me cry every tiem I saw her smiel or having fun, I owe everything to BVB fo rbringing back my friend!! biggrin

Here's my BVB story.

So I was driving around town with my family trying to get passport pictures taken. (Sometime in August 2011) My friend texts me like "OMG, I'm in love with Andy Sixx!!!" i'm like "what the hell dude..." and she basically tells me he's this hot guy with black hair and a snakebite and he sings for a "screamo-ish" band. I'm like "great, what is this girl getting me into?!" and she sends me a link to a youtube video and when the picture of BVB pops up i'm like eek and knives and pens is playing. I'm like "What... the... ****"

Well, I continued to watch the video, then listened to the music (she'd recommended Knives and Pens and The Legacy) and i'm like "wow, this isn't bad!"

A few months and a whole lot of obsessing later, I joined the 'BVB Army'
So, Thank-you, anonymous friend (she's on gaia but im not gonna say the name for som reasons), for bringing out a side of me that's been hidden for so long I didn't even know it was there!

BVB has basically changed my life.
Whenever things get rough (and when things get rough, they get rough!!)
I turn to BVB's music as an outlet to happiness.
I watch interviews of Andy and his friend Matt and I laugh till I start coughing, and things become okay again.

I love BVB's muzik for it saved my life and a friend's with it. But first my story. I would hate coming home cuz I have a step-dad who u'know beats me, and I hated it so I would sneak ou tevery nite to friends houses and when he would find out he would beat ht e**** out of me, I would cry, then finally I decided I should just end my life and get out of this HORRID life and be in peace. My friend showed mi BVB on her laptop and I fellin love with them listening to Saviour, it helped me in adesperate time and hwen I wanted to die and leave my younger sister!! THNX, BVB and my friend!! I owe it all to both of you!! ^_^

My friend lived a harsh life with a dad who usually starved her if she came home late and she usually did for schhol stuff, she was tired of living in this life and she was treated badly and nbot shown to most of her dads friends he would just shove her off into her room telling her not to come out unitl every one left, so she decided to try out suicide and I helpled he rin the way my othe rfriend helped me out and now she lives in a foster home with a family that lives close to where I live and she is happy which brings me much joy!! THank you BVB for brinign back happiness ot my friend in need of a friens and a true Saviour!! ^_^

The way I found BVB is when I started listening to BOTDF and I saw a picture to their videos and at first I thought I wouldn'tz like it but finally a couple days later I clicked on the video to Knives & Pens and fell in TOTAL love with them. But their song that helped the most was Carolyn<3. My boyfriend showed me before he found out that I was trying to comitt suicide Thank You shoot outs to: My boyfriend, Andy, Jinxx, CC, Ashley, & Jake<3

Wow. <3 I'm sorry for your stories, but I'm glad it seems all of you are doing better, at least on the inside where it counts the most. Today is Andy's 21 birthday, and I'm sure he's spending it very happily because inside he knows he's saved so many people from many different things. <3

Black Veil Brides, The Band Members, the Fans, They're something I look up to. Something like idols, The God's of Rebels, They stood up to the hatred and the despise. So many of us look up to them, just like me..
They not only play great music, They speak to their fans and those hated through their lyrics and their guitar solos. They are our Shield and sword, our protectors, because we can be what we want, Black Veil Brides not only supports that, but they also encourage it.

They mean to me almost everything, they changed my life through their crystal clear music, but how did they change my life?

Almost in every good way a band such as Black veil Brides can.
