Kitteh Tig One of my neighbors has a wireless router that is not password protected... cat_ninja Haha! That's swell! Hopefully they have their computer(s) at least protected from sharing. razz Nothing made me more paranoid about my wireless than dating a hacker. confused

Hopefully they have their computer(s) at least protected from sharing. razz Nothing made me more paranoid about my wireless than dating a hacker. confused I've got mine where I can't see them and they shouldn't be able to see me. XD and now bad news.... it's been raining a lot today and suddenly I have no power anywhere but the kitchen... At least I have power there.. XD All the bulbs are fine, the breakers are all "on" but no lights are working... they'll glow like they're gonna come on then shut off.. -.- Still waiting to hear back from the landlord... it's been nearly 2 hours since I called..

That's really not good. I'm not sure what the laws are for your county/state but I would definitely call the landlord again and explain that it's still going on and you are worried that it's an electrical problem and that you need to call an electrician to come out and take a look at it just to be on the safe side of not having an electrical fire. Also mention having it taken out of your rent. They'll either call you back right away after that to stop you or tell you their preference in regards to an electrician. My last apartment was cool with me making repairs like that and sending the receipt but they had a very specific plumber that they liked to use. Also, they preferred me to get 3 quotes and go with the lowest.

It's already dark though and has been for about the same amount of time, so I don't know what's going on with his end.. Does he have a job? That could be the reason he isn't contacting you. I hope you have flashlights though since it's probably NOT going to be fixed tonight at this rate. I would also try and flip the lights for the rooms that aren't working to off so nothing bad happens with the wiring.

Well, I hope it gets straightened out tomorrow. Might be worthwhile to pick up some battery operated camping lights in the meantime and to have them as a back up.

Woot. Tub is fixed, and he took a look at the electrical.. I even have all new fixtures on my tub because the leak was more than just needing a new washer in the knob..

What was the verdict on the electrical? He didn't say, but if I'm not at work when he comes to fix the water line to the toilet I'll ask him.. Yeah.. woke up this morning to a pinhole in the rubber tube going to the tank on my toilet... >< Not fun to step in a puddle and get sprayed with cold water.. xD
