It had been a week of frustrating realizations for Perseus. Among other things, more and more it seemed like each new senshi she ran into was completely unaware of the resources they had at their disposal.
The senshi seemed to get more disorganized as time went on, and unfortunately the Negaverse seemed to be doing the exact opposite. The database had been a good idea straight from the very beginning, and Perseus always took mental notes of those she had seen or faced in order to enter or update them later. However, the system was beginning to become outdated. New senshi didn't know it existed, old senshi forgot to update it or found the task cumbersome. Even with the updated phones, the database wasn't getting the use that it could.
She'd had contact with Taranis several times throughout his time heading up the database team, but as of late she no longer saw him at the usual places. Texts went unanswered, and the senshi she did run into hadn't heard of him or hadn't seen him in a while. Lately the thought of updating the current database system had been floating around her head as the perfect project for the school break, but she found it hard to start. Taranis (other than the cats), had been the main operator of the system, and making any changes without knowing his background information was nearly impossible.
It was right around the time when she had started to think she'd never find the elusive eternal that she finally ran into someone who had seen a Taranis-looking-meshi on the rooftops of China-town. Perseus didn't have anything to lose by checking it out.
Powering up, the super headed towards the district for a bit of a stake out. It wasn't long before she got there, and it was even less time before she quickly powered down to grab some Chinese food at a local vendor. After the purchase, Adira slipped to somewhere safe to power back up, and made her way back to the top of a sizable apartment building with takeout carton of delicious smelling dinner.
She didn't really see her food as much as taste it however. Each fork-full was stabbed blindly, and each bite was consumed with her eyes on the rooftops. If Taranis was going to show, Perseus wasn't going to miss him.

Patrolling had once been the thing that defined Taranis best. He found purpose in senshidom that he had lacked in reality. With Magellan at his side, the Eternal Senshi of Sand found only more reasons to suit up and fight crime in the streets. But Parker was, at his core, a selfish person. He lived a life of cold objectivity, but in truth, he was darkly emotional. Tiny things became rotten lesions in his brain. Once someone showed him an ounce of love, he succumbed to it like a tiny puff of sea foam caught in the mighty swell of a wave. It was that intensity that scared Magellan away, but Taranis refused to face that possibility. Instead, he chose to detach, to be sad, and to give up on the thing that gave him purpose.
