Nature: Extremely docile, they may not even notice a hunter. Adults may defend their young if they are attacked. Popo will often flee at the first sight of danger. They keep to small herds ranging from a single family group to an upwards of 40 individuals. They feast on the Hoili of the region, and also the undergrowth along frozen river-beds
Capabilities: Known to use their massive tusks bravely when defending their young.
Physical traits: Popo's thick fur keeps it warm in the cold mountain climate. Popo has especially thick hair covering its eyes to protect them from driving snow and ice. Large hooves disperse its weight evenly so it doesn't sink in deep snowdrifts. Popo's large tusks are used for a number of reasons. They are displayed by males challenging one another over a female. They are used in self defense against larger threats, and help Popo dig up plants buried deep under the snow.
Common facts and lore: When lost in the desolate arctic environment, a single Popo has provided more than a few hunters the materials to create shelter and cloak with its massive hide. And many days worth of meal, as its meat it soft and vast throughout its body.
Popo meat is quite nutritious, and its tongue is widely admired as a delicacy. They are very docile creatures and will run when one of their members in a group is under attack or when a Wyvern enters their area. With careful grooming, Domesticated Popo can thrive in the warmer climates. Popo are also used by the people of Pokke as beasts of burden, primarily for farmwork.
