With a huge crash assailents wearing bio-hazard suits simultainiously burst into most of the guild's windows, members duck for cover as they release a spray of bullets into the walls and furniture. As the dust settles, the sound of guns cocking from behind the overturned furniture makes the masked invaders look to one-another unsurely as they themselves take cover.


Okay this was a little idea I had.

Attacking: when you want to attack you roll two ten sided dice (via the handy dice system). If the first roll is higher then the second you role-play how you take out one of the attackers. If the second roll is higher then you attempt to and they start firing so you are forced to take cover. When they force you to take cover three times you get hit on the third failure.

Grenades and other explosives: Roll three ten sided dice, the first one is yours. If it rolls higher then one you take out one soldier, if it beats both you can role-play up to four being taken out with the blast.

Moving from cover to cover: Let's say you are being pinned down and you want to move to another person so you can both fight together. Roll three tens again. If the first one beats both the second and third then you make it, otherwise they stop you from crossing and you take it as one of your three failures.

Tag-teaming: Everyone starts isolated but if two people get behind the same cover they can both choose to attack at the same time. They both roll three dice. Unless on both rolls the third die is bigger then the first two, their attack is successful.

Melee Madness: Wanna try your luck and get medieval on their' asses? Roll four ten sided dice for this risky maneuver if your first roll beats the last three then you storm their' position and can enact it as such. Failure taking from one of your three failures.

Team Melee: If your with someone else and your charging you still both roll four. As long as one of the first two is better then the second two you make it. If either player fails both are forced back into cover.

Covering Fire: If anyone gives you cover fire while you are either charging ahead or moving from position to position you gain a die in your favor. (Example: Moving you have the first two vs the lone third and charging becomes 2v2 instead of 1v3)

I realize that this all means that some posts are going to be spent planning your next moves, but wouldn't you have to do that anyhow?

Sitting behind the thick polished oak bar, Psiko stared quietly as bullets pelted the liquor overhead, spilling it onto the floor. Reaching under the bar, he grabbed a bottle of brandy and took a swig of it before grabbing the combat shotgun next to it and popping above the bar.



Squeezing the trigger the shotgun roared, recoiling back in a puff of smoke. One of the assailents, standing to take a shot was caught right in the chest by the blast, knocking him back through the window in a spray of blood. Quickly Psiko ducked back down as another spray of bullets pelted the bar.

Maku had been sitting in an overstuffed chair, pouring over a volume of literature originating in a long-forgotten age. His mechanical mind had been compartmentalizing the various tangent programs and thoughts that had occupied him over the day. With the end of this task approaching, he was about to enter an idle state.

Then the windows were kicked out, and all forms of small arms were loosed into the room, cutting the rather calm and cultured setting to ribbons. Maku launched himself up and over his chair, assault rifle rounds eating through the ancient book and chair he had recently occupied. The room suddenly went still, and the awkward shuffling of boots told the synthetic that the group had finished their initial assault.

He pulled the nine millimeter out from under his arm, looked down the sights, and took an unnecessary breath, wishing he had something larger. The satisfying sound of an empty shotgun shell hitting the floor confirmed that someone had acquired the security device underneath the bar.

He exhaled, stood, and fired-



The nine millimeter rounds slid up their target, the first entering at center of mass and the third catching him between the temple. He was dead before he even hit the ground. Maku ducked back down, and reassessed his situation. He now had fifteen rounds in his pistol. That was, provided he didn't miss, five more of the mysteriously garbed assailents before reloading.

He shook his head, hoping the others were alright, and waited for the next chance he had to move.

Cocking the shotgun again, Psiko blasted a hole in the side of the bar, using it to look around for other survivers without giving anyone a chance to hit him. Peering around he spoted Maku across the room, ducking back behind his armchair after splattering one of the assailents all over the wall.

"Maku! Over here!"

Grabbing one of the bottles off the wall, Psiko stuck an old dry cloth in the neck and held it upside down, letting the alcohol soak into the cloth while he grabbed the box of matches used to ignite flaming spirits. Striking one of the matches on the bottom of the bar, he lit the rag on fire and without standing up, chucked it over the bar in the direction of the attackers.




The molotov swung through the air, flying awkwardly as the liquid inside it shifted back and forth. Though it's path crooked, the bottle smashed on the mask of an invader, lighting him on fire. Rolling on the ground he clawed at his suit as the plastic and rubber melted to his skin.

Maku would have shook his head some, waiting for his eye to auto-adjust to the increase in light provided by the flame. He'd peek out some, glancing about for the various positions to see what opposition was looking to gun him down. The various programs in his head told him that his odds weren't going to get much better. He tilted his head over twoards the hole, and headed out...



A well timed sprint sent most the rounds firing wildly around him. One goon, in particular, came rushing towards him with a shotgun. Maku kicked one of the endtables up and over, towards said goon. The masked figure managed to fall backwards, but the rapidly ascending wooden structure slammed into a light on the ceiling, providing even more darkness.

Maku crouched behind the bar, nodding to Psiko once as he joined him in his cover.

Another hail of bullets shreds the bar, bottles being burst and alcohol spilling everywhere.

Letting out a long hiss as he skitters, Junior leaps from his hole in the wall, charging foreward with a scalpel in his teeth.



Realizing the distance is too far, he takes a sudden turn as bullets tear up the floor where he stood, with a leap, he crashes right through the grate, falling into the ventillation.

Taking a deep breath, Psiko pops back over the bar.



<10-1=COMPLETE PWNAGE(Matrix time bitches)>

With a slight flick of the wrist everything seems to slow down. As the barrell scans past one intruder the trigger clicks, the sound immediotly overcast by the roar of the exploding shell. Brain, mask and all the head of the unlucky assassin is powderized over the wall behing him. In a fluid motion he cocks the next shell into the chamber as he re-aims, squeezing the trigger. Yet another masked assailent meets his maker as the flying buckshot pierced through his abdomen, the force slamming him into a nearby wall with a sickening crunch as plaster and sheetrock cracks under the impact.

Ducking back down as the retalitory fire resumes, Psiko props the smoking barrel on his shoulder as he grabs an ubroken bottle from under the bar, taking another swig before corking it and rulling it down to Jitio.

Reiko bursts out of the armory with knives strapped to thighs, a rocket launcher on her back, and gatlin gun in hand. "Jyaa-- IKOU!" she yells, a wicked grin tearing across her usually soft, innocent face.
