Personality: Kafka is a smart man, cold, calculating, and ruthless. He will go for the kill if he thinks he can get it and may just ditch his teammates to save his own skin. He prefers not to fight directly, but psychologically, lacking real strength to fight one on one. However, he is a strategist and acts the part, though his own attitude may often get in the way. Regardless, he can come up with a game plan, though he will never guarantee it's effectiveness.

Biography: Kafka is one of the many who has no story before life. He was born and raised in the Rukongai. Growing up, he always saw Shinigami come and go. Never understanding, he never questioned either. He saw it as a part of life and stayed to his books and other forms of gathering information. One day, while playing with someone, by force from his parents in the Rukongai, some Shinigami watched as they patrolled the surrounding area. Kafka and his "friend" were sword fighting with sticks they found on the ground. Although Kafka was in fact weaker, he showed an excellent control over his reiatsu, giving him a distinct advantage. As a result, Kafka was later enrolled into the Shino Academy where his training focused explicitly on reiatsu and his intelligence. He was also trained in mobility, as he had no real fighting skill and therefore needed to dodge or be seriously wounded. Upon graduation, he was placed in the 12th Division, which he disliked greatly, although he never once attempted to transfer during his entire stay there, even if offered. Despite the division's nature being similar to his own, he found disdain to their experiments and could often predict the results (although most could guess they would fail anyways) and as such continued his practice of kido, reiatsu training, and dodging. To him, it was almost strange he wasn't in the Kido Corps. Regardless, he never complained and fulfilled his duties.
Finally came a day when Kafka decided he would transfer. However, that did not last long because he began to feel ill. He had had experience with Vizards popping up unexpectedly in the squad since they were occasionally exposed to the same things as their subjects. Apparently Kafka had been exposed to one of those that had produced a Vizard, one he himself had executed. Fearing for his life, Kafka quickly fled, coughing up his own mask the entire way.Through sheer luck, upon exiting into the world of the living, he was saved by another Vizard who helped him get his mask shortly after, and control it. He still hates using the mask to this day, but will if he's in a real pinch.

Shortly after, they begin to constrict and can cause major damage if left unattended. Kafka can end the constriction by simply bringing his sword down, causing moderate lacerations and a powerful constriction on the foe. (3 post duration, 4 post recharge)
Mabayui bakari no nichibotsu The sword very suddenly emits a burst of bright light. The move is short ranged and takes effect quickly, meant to counter opponents looking to close. The weakness of the attack is that it only moves in the direction of the cutting edge of the blade and the tip, meaning those out of that range just see the flash of light. (Instant use, 1 post recharge)
Taiyō no hyōmen Perhaps the most underhanded technique in Kafka's arsenal. Upon use, the blade catches fire. Kafka has one chance to land contact with the foe, or anything for that matter. Once the object has met Kafka's blade, the temperature rises exponentially, almost as if it were in a furnace. While this has no effect on the physical shape or condition of the victim, it does make it unbearably hot, even if direct contact isn't made. The duration, however, is rather short. Those affected by this move more than once may need medical treatment due to the extreme heat. (3 post duration to hit, posts remaining is the duration of the skill, 6 post recharge)
Taiyō furea Kafka levels his zanpakuto at a target and it explodes fire from the hilt up to the blade and on further for a decent distance of roughly ten meters. The flames are relatively strong and vanish quickly, though they do take a small bit to warm up. The charge can be performed so long as no other techniques are being used by Kafka. The burning doppelganger moves at high speeds and aims to make contact with it's target, exploding once within range to cause damage or otherwise disorient or force the opponent to stumble as Kafka himself follows on the flame clone's heels, swinging his zanpakuto to try and take a chunk out of the foe.
