Mine is Inuyasha, its filled with action, but does keep a cute and serious love element throughout the entire series. Although Kykio dies, she is given some resolution. The ending is a happy one, and in a love story thats nice to see.

Toradora is easily the best romance driven anime I've seen to date (now, when I say romance driven, I mean that the relationship between the protagonists is central to the plot, and not a subplot). After that, would be Kimi ni Todoke, Kaichou wa Maid-sama!, etc.
Note: For future reference, anime is both singular and plural.

hm. let's see..
kimi ni todoke has quite a heart warming love story, so does honey and clover.but i think the love story that really stuck to me was from kareshi kanojo no jijou commonly known as karekano.

I like Eureka Seven too - especially Anemone and Lieutenant Dominic Sorel.
Another in my list is Special A and Ouran Highschool club
And of course, Chihayafuru heart
