I've been getting a lot of PM's and e-mails from friends and lurkers in the guild, so I'm here to give you the whole story about the accident.
One of my friends (I'll call her Riza, since that's her cosplay for Katsucon) lives on this road that has a 76 degree turn and no stop sign. The speed limit on this road is 30mph (20 on the turn) and is a major intercetion because of that. The city doesn't like change.
Anyway, it's 6:17 at night and we're driving Riza back home. We get to the turn and in our lane is a white SUV swerving around and what not. Our driver (I'll call him Roy, since that's who he's cosplaying for Katsucon) veered to the right on the side of the road. There was some newly layed gravel there...
When we hit the gravel, our car (an old buick with front wheel drive) fishtailed. Roy tried to correct it, over corrected, and went to the left. At this point we miss the drunk driver [just barely] and head towards a steep hill. Roy corrected again, over corrected, and we hit a large mound of dirt and fell into the ditch below. The driver kept going.
Things are a little blotchy from there. I don't remember much. I know that I (being the oldest and the actual adult here) had to break the back window to get us out. Riza wasn't wearing her seatbelt, so she ended up getting a nast bruise on her arms and legs, and hit her head against the roof and window.
I did wear my seatbelt, which locked upon impact. I have a bruise on my chest where the seatbelt was, cuts on my arms and legs from glass and rock, and bruises here and there. My hand also might have a fracture to it, but I don't want to bother with it right now.
Roy says he didn't sustain any injury, but we think that he's just trying to be tough. Anyway, that's what happened. We're all okay and thankful to whatever super power that was watching us that we're alive. We should have died and we didn't. There's nothing more to say.
I hope that cleared a lot of things up. Again, sorry for scaring you call, but yea, I call this "minor."

Oh, man... I hope everyone's all right now.
As for the drunk driver, even if they never catch the idiot, the idiot will get sufficant punishment through karma. (Yes, I strongly belive that whatever you do comes back several fold.)
I really am sorry this happened to you all and I'm praying for the best. cry

Sorry to say it, but if the person doing something wrong is intelligent enough then they can get away with it without any sort of punishment whatsoever... But a drunk driver isn't intelligent in any sense of the word so hopefully he ran off the road later on that night and got arrested...
