((Let's saaaaaaay seven years xDDD))
Vidal twirled his sword over the back of his hand and sheathed it as he walked. It was quiet as it always was, which he of course took pleasure in. He stretched his arms over his head and yawned quietly. His patrol route took him by his home a few times a day, and he smiled seeing his house just up ahead.
But his gaze traveled further up the path to a crowd gathering at a decaying building at the edge of the woods.

Cristina was on the upper balcony, hanging laundry on the line to dry. She smoothed one of Vidal's shirts on the line and smiled. Reaching back, she slid her fingers through her long blond hair, tying it back into a ponytail.

Vidal strolled up to the group and picked out an older man, asking, "What's going on?"
The man glanced back, gave a small salute upon seeing Vidal's uniform and replied, "Oh, well sir! Seems someone's trying to revive the old hero's guild. Already bought the land, people are saying he even has a few heroes enrolled."
Vidal arched a brow and glanced up at the decrepit remains of the guild. He scratched his head in bewilderment, unsure how anyone would be able to make it run again. It hadn't been used in nearly a century.

Vidal shook his head, "Must be a right fool to think he could even make this place livable."
He rested a hand on the butt of his pistol and nudged his way through the throng of people. When at the forefront of the crowd, a large boulder was swung from what remained of the top floors and shattered at his left. He quickly jumped back, though it never came close to hitting him

Vidal's hand flew to his sword, "OI!!"
A man, the collar of his shirt masking half of his face save his eyes and red locks, peered over the crumbled ruins of a window at the soldier.
"Oi yourself, ya' nosy bastards!"

Cristina pursed her lips and placed her basket on the ground before making her way down the stairs and out the front door of the house towards the crowd. She smoothed her dress as she approached the crowd.

The man leaned over the stones, "If you weren't sticking your noses in other people's business, there'd be no problem!"
