PETA wants Mario to get rid of the Tanuki suit, did you here? We laughed so hard... rofl
What have I learned from anime....-grins- Be prepared for stupid and witty responses. But mostly stupid.

lol Sadly only things I've learned from anime are simple phrases and word, with a few exceptions; I learned a bit about history from Hetalia (Yes I know not all of it is completely correct.) and Fullmetal Alchemist did inspire me to work harder in Science class. XD lol That's hilarious! A bit far PETA!

Ugh, you guys are giving such realistic responses. That's boring This is the stuff I was expecting to see. Things I learned from anime Yelling your attacks makes them more effective. People are very accepting of boys that change genders on a regular basis. Dog ears on an otherwise human boy are irresistible. When you wake up and have extraordinary athletic abilities, it probably means you’re a cyborg. Never insult an alchemist; especially if he can transmute his prosthetic limbs into deadly weapons. Stealing abnormally huge and powerful starships is an acceptable career. Falling in love with humanoid computers is normal. The king of the dead will work your tail off after you kick the bucket. A gem containing your mother’s life will heavily increase your power level. Wizards will literally sneeze up a storm. In the future, wars will be fought with giant robots and piloted by teenage boys. Changing sides makes you more appealing. Princesses of demons and gods alike will go for human boys. Ghosts make good weapons. If you can beat someone with a blunt sword, people will respect you. (these are all from different animes, I wonder if you can guess which is which.)

rahna Ugh, you guys are giving such realistic responses. That's boring This is the stuff I was expecting to see. Things I learned from anime Yelling your attacks makes them more effective. (Every Magical Girl anime ever made) People are very accepting of boys that change genders on a regular basis. (Ranma 1/2, Kashimashi, Nyotai-Ka) Dog ears on an otherwise human boy are irresistible. (Inuyasha) When you wake up and have extraordinary athletic abilities, it probably means you’re a cyborg. (Hmm...Ghost in the Shell and Outlaw Star) Never insult an alchemist; especially if he can transmute his prosthetic limbs into deadly weapons. (Full Metal Alchemist) Stealing abnormally huge and powerful starships is an acceptable career. (Hmm...possibly Space Pirate Captain Harlock) Falling in love with humanoid computers is normal. (Chobits) The king of the dead will work your tail off after you kick the bucket. (No idea) A gem containing your mother’s life will heavily increase your power level. (Tales of Symphonia) Wizards will literally sneeze up a storm. (Negima!) In the future, wars will be fought with giant robots and piloted by teenage boys. (Pretty much every mecha anime ever made. Macross or Gundam are my guesses) Changing sides makes you more appealing. (.hack/ maybe?) Princesses of demons and gods alike will go for human boys (Shuffle!). Ghosts make good weapons. (I want to say Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt, but possibly Bleach?) If you can beat someone with a blunt sword, people will respect you. (Bamboo Blade, or possibly Record of Lodoss Wars, though Par fought with the blunt side of his sharp sword) (these are all from different animes, I wonder if you can guess which is which.) I will take this challenge! I actually intended this thread to be serious, but whatever. I guess I'll continue: The highest form of love proclamation is via Okonomiyaki If a woman is cheerful, it means she had a life-altering illness when she was younger Fat/Outrageously muscular people always have puffy lips Women are encouraged to fondle each other in public bathhouses, even when it's not acceptable in public. The nerdy girls are all secretly beautiful magical girls The only proper place to eat lunch is the roof of your school. Unless you're depressed, then you go eat in the cafeteria. All dogs must do Flintstone-style jumps onto strangers. Everything must be kept a secret at all times, even if it's none of your damn business to keep the secret. Anyone keeping a secret must tease those who they're keeping a secret from. Every single second.

If you want something serious, anime taught me the beginnings of Japanese. It also got me interested in the country NOW, to grade you. The first one yes, I admit could apply to a ton of animes. But I was actually thinking of DBZ when I wrote it. The second is indeed Ranma 1/2! The third is Inuyasha, yes. xD Next is Cyborg 009, but good guess. Number five, DING! YOU ARE CORRECT!! Six...hahahaha. Outlaw Star. xD Seven: Yes! Eight: Yu Yu Hakusho. Yusuke dies and is immediately employed by Koenma as a Spirit Detective. Nine: Yup! xd Ten: You betcha Eleven, HAWHAWHAW, true. I was thinking of Gundam Wing, but Gundam works just fine. 12: Umm, no actually. I barely remember .hack/, let alone what happened in it. This was referring to Ronin Warriors. 13. Precisely! 14: None of the above, but I guess it was awful vague. The answer was Shaman King. 15: Eheh...no. I was thinking of Rurouni Kenshin. For yours, I bet number one and two are Ranma 1/2 and Clannad. Other than that, I have noooo idea.

Many anime contain those tropes. There was a really great thread on the A/M/C forums with this topic.

I didn't click the link, but I'm pretty positive I know what thread it led to. (I used to frequent the A/M/C)

i learned that alot of these anime artists or story writers are a bit messed up in the brain, you can tell by the ugly stuff they draw.
A piece of work reflects the artist and alot of these show are ugly in way therefore the people have ugly thoughts and ideas. They should get someone more mentally sound and creative behind the concept designe of these shows and stuff.

A piece of work reflects the artist and alot of these show are ugly in way therefore the people have ugly thoughts and ideas. They should get someone more mentally sound and creative behind the concept designe of these shows and stuff. So you learned a stereotype and became prejudiced? Who are you to decide what is "normal" and who is "messed up in the brain"? And what manga / stories were you basing this off of? Because if it's a psychological mind-bender, I can note you more than a dozen of American ~literature~ that is just as strange. Besides that, everyone is a bit off. Everyone has their quirks, and that's what makes them individuals. I challenge you to find a perfect human being that has nothing that is "odd" by society's standards. And not just America's standards. I want you to find a person that agrees with every single culture in the world. Good luck with that. Have you even thought what those creators have to go through? Anime / manga come from Japan, where there is an enormous stigma against anyone who is a mangaka or otaku. These people are shunned by their society, looked down upon as dangerous freaks. They put up with this because they're doing what they love, and giving enjoyment to you and the rest of us.
