Jared was tied up and bruised as he was being taken to his new mistresses home. One eye was swollen and looked out through the window with his good eye and saw the elegant house. His jaw was swollen on one side but it dropped when he thought of all the work he could do to keep busy. The guards stopped and pulled his leash hard, having him to fall on his face and struggle to get up as they dragged him to the door, and they knocked holding the paperwork for her to sign. He was back on his feet before she answered.

Ⓜelissa Ⓡivera ღ☽☾ღ ✘ Melissa got up immediately and opened the door. A pained expression appeared on her face as she signed the paper. Then they left and Melissa took off the collar. "You don't have to wear it anymore." She said and brought him in, and placed him on the couch. "I'm getting the aid kit, stay there please." ✘

Wanting to stop her, he couldn't bring himself to speak and waited patiently. His hand drifted to his neck where the collar was and felt relieved to not have it on anymore. He covered his swollen eye with one hand and imagined it without the pain. He saw her coming back and tried to hold still but was a bit worried about what she would do.

Ⓜelissa Ⓡivera ღ☽☾ღ ✘ She took out a bandage and what looked to be some kind of cream. "Stay still." She said then brought Jared's hand down from his eye and placed a very small amount of the cream on the eye. And wrapped the bandage on it after. "Don't take it off for a few days then it should be better." Melissa spoke softly then got a ice pack putting it in his hands then on his jaw. ✘

Shocked by her kindness, he blushed lightly as he nodded lightly. He held the ice pack to his injured jaw and opened his mouth as if to speak, but closed it. He blushed lightly as he croaked, "Thank you."

Ⓜelissa Ⓡivera ღ☽☾ღ ✘ Melissa bandaged up anything other wound. "It's alright. The least I can do, it's awful what people do." She said quietly what she said hit a chord with her. But only placed the aid kit back. And sat beside him smiling lightly. "I hope your better." ✘

He gave a weak smile and looked back at her, "I'm Jared, and I like to keep busy. Is there anything you would like me to work on for you, mistress?" He was more shocked by her behavior to him and it made him feel more safe then anything else.

Looking at the little girl who came out, his body relaxed a bit to see that she was really a caring person. He took a seat on the floor as his tail wagged behind him. He wanted to ask who the little girl was but waited until Melissa came back.

He wagged his tail as he saw that Melissa was taking the child with her to see him again. "She's very pretty. What's her name? And where is your husband?" he asked out of curiosity, not looking at her hands to check for a ring.

Hearing the answer about her husband, he felt as if he insulted her in front of her own daughter. "I'm...sorry to hear that. But...I'm fine, and am ready to work on anything you have for me." He was trying to convince himself more then he was to her as he spoke.
