I'm sorry but my mom doesn't exactly care, just as long as I'm not trying to rub it in her face. But she still thinks it's strange...I....don't quite have the.....um...bravery (yeah, that'll work) to tell my dad about it. He spent some time in the Navy, but he's a pretty laid back guy now. But I still can't tell him. But I don't hide from it either. I get the Hub on TV so when it comes on, I'll watch it, but I won't point it out or anything. My dad saw once but said nothing, I guess he just assumed that it was "just another stupid cartoon."

Sorry I wish I could help. I live states away from my parent and my fiancee also likes watching mlp: fim with me. She's been very encouraging in helping me not feel "unmanily" for watching it.
I told my Dad about liking Sailor Moon years ago and he didn't take it too wierdly. It wasn't like I was trying to dress up like a sailor scout or anything. He is just not fond of cartoons or "japanese gibberish". As long as it didn't get in the way of him watching the news or another show he wanted to watch he was alright with it.
Why do you need to tell your parents anyway? It's just a show that you're interested in.

My parents know, or at least the have an idea. I would say just show them what you do one day. I just always told my parents that I'm a brony. When they asked me what it meant, I told them the name of the show and everything.
My dad doesn't mind at all, as he doesn't say anything about it. He's seen my comp covered with ponies and doesn't care.
My mom's kinda weird on it. She doesn't really like me liking it, but I don't really care.

Well if you're considered the "artistic" person you could play up the eccentric factor and say that you need that MLP toy in the room to help with inspiration.
You could always put it this way to them if they have a problem with it "Which would you prefer I get, MLP toys in my room or death metal music about killing my teachers?"

I can hide a single small toy easy though, just need to find one, and cheap.

I might have parents that are ok with it (or don't really care I guess) but my older sister (by two years) gives me quite a bit of gruff over it. She was never a pony fan and is just so closed minded about it, which is actually quite odd, cosidering that she's usually rather laid back about this sort of thing.

My parents know I'm a brony and know I'm proud. They think I'm a dork, but then again... they've always known that about me. emotion_dealwithit emotion_bigheart

My parents don't really care, but I've always loved having animal-related toys, so me being a brony is really nothing out of the ordinary to my parents.

The Raven is Here kyra-san One day my dad walked in while I was brushing Celestia's mane. That's pretty epic to be honest whee Lol yeah. I had just finished unpacking her. My room was littered with cardboard, tape, and colorful plastic barrettes. I'm surprised he didn't comment on it. And if my parents didn't get it the first time, I made sure to highlight and circle "any My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic merchandise" on my Christmas list I gave them yesterday.
