An area of the woods that seems to have become a place where someone is building something... Perhaps it has something to do with someone's new resolve...

Appearing at the spot he chose, an axe, a shovel, and a toolbox in hand, Matches set them down, surveying the area. Looking around a bit, he grabbed the shovel and took off his jacket, beginning to dig down into the earth. Slowly, the mount of earth beside the hole grew and Matches began to whistle and old song he used to sing as a Lost Boy when there was work to be done.

There was little use in warning the two following Little Dove. All three saw the strange man at the same time. They were roughly 9 or 10 yards away, just before the edge of the tree line.
It was amusing how he tried to place the earth's dirt in it's own pile. A failing effort Little Dove thought, as there was many many more dirts to go. It would take lifetimes to move it all with such a small shovel.
Turning to her brothren Dove signaled for them to split. Within moments they would have him surrounded, and if any sign of hostility dead.

Throwing his shovel out of the hole, Matches climbed out, wiping dirt off of his face with a sigh. Walking over, he grabbed the axe, then began to tap the back of it against a few trees to test their hardness. As he found one he liked, he took a stock stance, then swung the axe as hard as he could, taking a large chunk out of the tree, beginning the long road to cutting it down.

She could see the nervousness in the twins from opposite sides of the clearing. The tree above them shaking as in a great storm. It would come down if he was allowed to continue. Mother forest would not be happy.
Nodding her head the first twin lost his spear in the air landing just short of a foot from the man's set leg, the other spear steading it'self into the bark of the wood.
Stepping out of the bush line Dove head her spear at the ready. "You. Leave bother tree. He harm you none." Her voice harsh with irregular use still demand complete authority as a leader.

Putting the axe on his shoulder, Matches looked over at Little Dove, not showing any fear in the slightest.
"Yeah, well I need 'Brother Tree' ta make a sacrifice for the greater good. I can't work on my project witout some wood parts. Especially if I'm gonna make it look good. Everyone and everythin must be willin to make a sacrifice for the world to become better."

Little Dove placed her spear behind her back, head held high with no fear or hesitensy in her form as she walked over and stood between the man and the tree. "You not give thinks for what you have. Say sorry to brother, ask before you take."
The girl stood a good foot shorter then matches but held her shoulders straight and looked up into his eyes. She would not back down easily and didn't fear a fight for what she believed in.

Matches shook his head, sighing.
"You're just delayin the inevitable, girl. I'm gonna cut it down, and it's gonna be used in the den. The Lost Boys can't have a den in the ground if the structure'll collapse on their heads. Besides, Peter taught me ta take only what I would use. That in itself is thanks in it's own right. Now, please, move out of the way."

Tinkerbell  Tinkerbell flew to where as assumed matches would be,spotting the girl she flew into the tree that matches was cutting down unknown to him and hopefully her too, she watched the both of them, she swore that the girl looked familiar but she couldent quiet place where from.

"Pa teach to give thanks for what got!!!" Dove picked up her voice. "Lost boy got backward!" Fearlessly Little Dove shoved him away by slamming her chest into his while keeping her eyes focused on him, the twins silently surrounding the man. "Dove is Dove, not girl, and Pa be ashamed of you!"
Digging her heels deeper into the soft ground she stared him down. She never noticed the pixie above her head just the arrogant lost boy. "Dove want lost boy to say sorry to brother tree! Pa would have!"

"Peter would have cut down the tree, used every last bit of it, and had us all plant a new one! You never knew Peter... You didn't know what it was like followin someone like him..."
Lowering his head, Matches brandished the axe, his body shaking.
"Peter did what he thought was best... Peter did everythin he could ta me and the rest of the Boys happy... And you say you know what he would want?... You dun't know nuthin... You don't know didly squat about what Peter would want... You think you're so strong, with your spear and your group... I have nothin now, and I'm stronger than you... because I never forgot Peter... I never ever forgot him... Even now, I remember him like it was yesterday... so don't you ever... EVER... tell me you know what Peter would want!"
He glared into her eyes, his filled with tears along with pain and anger.
"The only person Peter would be ashamed of is YOU!"

Tinkerbell Tink flew down infront of the both of them her arms crossed and a frown upon her face"HE would be ashamed of the both of you!...fighting as though you were still children, about what HE would do...look at you two...both of you should be ashamed of yourselves"She yelled at the two of them looking back and forth between them"IF you both remember right peter didnt like haveing fights between any of never lands dwellers unless it was a pirate and a lost boy...HOW DARE THE BOTH OF YOU"

Dove watched the man accuse and come apart with his words. This almost amused the girl. Of course she really didn't know Pan, she was just learning words when he disappeared. "We find out when Pa return wont we." She said quite evenly. Her back straitened as she continued to stair him down. "Pa leave us all to find way. You left alone for reason. Pa leave Little Dove and others to make stronger. We become stronger. We become one with mother forest. Other lost boys loose bond with mother forest. It make weak."
The eldest of the twins stuck behind Matches taking hold of the axe and running for it, the other standing by to defend his brother. They acted almost like children playing monkey in the middle to keep Little Dove safe from the scary man with anger in his words and tears in his eyes.
This was about when Dove's attention was drawn to the pixie in her face. A small shriek erupted from Little Doves mouth as she mindlessly swatted at the thing. "Pa come back! Pixie come back!!!" Her face lite up with a smile as her eyes fell on the other two smiling and dancing about.

Matches wiped his eyes, grabbing the axe from where one of the twins had dropped it.
"I hate ta say it, Tink, but you're right... Peter woulda been awfly disappointed in us for fightin... I feel like a shmuck..."
Putting the axe back on his shoulder, he looked at the girl, sighing softly.
"Oy, Little Dove... I'm sorry for snappin at you. A lotta stuffs been gettin to me and I shouldn't have taken it out on you... and I guess I'm sorry for the tree too, but I need wood for building."

Tinkerbell Tinkerbell flew out of the way of the swat and sighed slightly."Hunny....pa no come back...pa has gone away...he no come back..."Tink started to cry softly."Pa never comming back.....pa dead..."Tink couldent help it and the tears flowed freely down her cheeks.
