As you know, an island is a piece of land surrounded by water on all sides. So, the waters of Library Island are rather cold, as they crash off the harsh waves on the edge of the island.

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted Lexis walked out towards the waters, Toshi following close behind. "Go ahead, I'll keep watch." She told him. Toshi nodded. He shut his eyes and dropped his gamour, the white fur and his anthro appearance suddenly taking over. He rolled his neck, his tail wagging a bit. "Hell yeah, that's way better." he chuckled, sighing. Lexis nodded and looked at the water. They'd have to think of some way to get to the boy. Convince him of the things beginning to happen in the background of this academy. Hermes Hioshi's appearance here, as well as the appearance of the newer students, such as the Kyon siblings and their affiliation with Friday Hunter.
Not not Friday Hunter. Her true name was Tempus.

Lirunat glared at Lexis as she hovered above them a little, her majestic blue wings beating down on her every few seconds with quite the force of wind. "If I were you, I'd be running, kid." she added, not exaclty seeming very happy... of course this demon already had her weapon at the ready.... fire breath... all it takes is an exhale...

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted Lexis blinked, then looked up to see someone speaking. Toshi grimaced, his arm flashing and suddenly turning completely to ice. His main weapon. However, Lexis made a movement. Toshi looked at her. "Don't. Ifit doesn't concern you, don't get in my way. You know how I get." She told him. He scowled, but waved it off and his arm reverted to normal. His tail swished as he jumped back, giving Lexis space as she stepped back.
"And just what business do you have with me, demon?" She asked. If teh demon attacked, Lexis wouldn't be surprised. She sounded and looked like she was already ready to fight.

"I'm telling you to get out of here, that's what business I have." Lirunat spoke. "Master William doesn't wan't anyone else around this place, and I'm starting with booting you out of here. " she added, and crossed her arms, seeming impatient about this. "Unless you leave, I my just have to use force.. and trust me, there wont be anything left of you if you make me."

"I don't see his damn name written anywhere." Toshi huffed.
"Be quiet Toshi." Lexis ordered. "Use force if you like, but until we feel like moving, we're not. We've no intentions of toying with anything that may belong with you Master anyway." She said in her normal blunt tone. It was clear at least she wasn't moving.

"Oh he does, his other half Lord Irgosax knows of you... and he doesn't want you here either."
Liruna glared at Toshi for a brief moment. "Master William is soon to be the ruler of this place. I'm simply one of his loyal guard, and by you defying me, you defy, him, and no one lives after defying him..." she spoke and then her eyes began to glow, that was when everything began to heat up immensely to the point where water boiled and evaporated and anything solid started to glow or melt. Immediately after she opened her mouth and spat out bright blue flames at Lexis and Toshi, aiming to incinerate them on the spot.

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted "Toshi, get behind me." She ordered. Toshi huffed, doing so. The area began to heat up, but the reason why Lexis wanted him nearby was because the heat didn't affect her. "You can't handle it here." She told him. He was clearly uncomfortable. He'd die if he remained ot fight with her. Not that she cared, but she till needed his help on the mission. She muttered something, and touched Toshi's hand, and he disappeared.
Lexis turned her head away as the blue flames hit right where she was standing. Actual fire burst where the blue fire hit, and they mixed for a moment before both died out with the wave of Lexis's hand. By now Toshi had already laid his barrier against mundanes up, which meant Lexis could use her magic without caring. "I certainly hope that heat is not your only weapon." She commented, the wolf demon now really defiant to Liruna. More like...just...apathetic. She held no amount of care nor barely any emotion in her eyes towards the situation. She held out her hand and a steel spear materialized in her grip.

"Of course I have more..." Liruna spoke and with a single flap of her wings sent waves of cutting wind at Lexi before diving at her, aiming to slice at her with her claws. This person... was honestly one of the few that could survive the initial fires but would she last against the continuous heat waves her body could emit? Several demon slayers and hunters have fallen to the might of her flames...

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted Tempus would have to wait then. For now, deal with this. The heat didn't seem to be bothering Lexis. Her natural affinity was taking it well. But her other affinity...She raised her spear to take the slices from the wind, not paying too much mind at the small cuts that still hit her body.
Lightning sparked. "Prodeo." She spoke her activation key. After that, lightning sparked from her spear and her arms. She raised her spear again, letting Liruna's claws catch the steel instead and began to hold her back. She narrowed her eyes a little bit as something appeared in the sky behind Liruna. Something black appeared, its claws in return speeding at the demon's back.

Liruna glared even though she was being held back, but something was off... she looked behind her and realized what was going on. She quickly abandoned her position and darted out of the way, all while spewing flames to hopefully keep distance. Damn, that was unexpected...

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted "No mercy Nyx, keep attacking." She said as she crossed her own fire with Liruna's fire. The creature was visible now, the black furred cross of panther and wyvern, her mount Nyx. It's tail whipped out as it flew at Liruna. Lexis grabbed Nyx's tail and used the momentum to let it fling her onto its back. She swung her spear, bolts of lightning charging at Liruna.

The boats that are supposedly there studying fish have been there, working tirelessly night and day in an invisible race to be the first to find that little black box. That assuming black box that fell with the satellite not so long ago. One of the boats grows just a little quieter, but resumes its normal activity. A young woman dives off the edge of the boat and surfaces quickly at the edge of the lake, carrying a water-proofed suitcase with her. She swims at... impossible speeds. No magic was used... did the suitcase have something to aid her swimming, maybe? It wouldn't seem so, but... Alas. The young woman walks ashore, but seems a little rushed as she heads for the cover of the forest.

Liruna glared and grit her teeth, barely able to avoid the oncoming attacks with strong use of her wings. Damn, this wasn't expected at all... she made a quick dart towards Nyx and quickly coated her hand in flames, making a slash at it before darting away in a different in another direction. Well first off, she realized what Nyx was... but how the hell did that one side with someone like her? No matter, she knew of the weaknesses of those beasts...
(( its actually true, Nargacuga are highly vulnerable to fire in the games ...))

xxxxMaybe she needed to be wanted Lexis held on as Nyx retracted itself from Liruna's path to avoid the fire. True, even Lexis herself knew Nyx wasn't fond of fire. Personal experience as well, it took Nyx several years of being Lexis's mount to get used to her rider's heat, but when it came to opponents, it was still hesitant. Nyx likely wouldn't last in this fight either if it dragged on too long, but he'd still last longer than Toshi would have. "It's okay, I'll send you away soon, just fly for me." She assured to Nyx. Nyx wavered for a moment, before beatings its wings and darting for Liruna. His arms reached to try adn snatch the demon from the air. Lexis let her grip go and traveled swiftly down Nyx's back, grabbing his tail. The tail swung her from his back, and underneath, as Lexis used her momentum to swing at Liruna, Lightning discharging from teh spear's tip as she aimed the spear point at Liruna's stomach.
