This is where stores are located. Like grocery stores, clothing stores, bookstores, etc. Small noodle shops are open here. All of the stores are small, and open to the public, so they have no doors, but a sliding door, similar to a garage door, to close when it's late at night.
There are small hotels located here, many are for men who work over night, and can't catch trains to get home, but a few are co-ed.

OOC: I decided to put Gilly here, since the schedule didn't change too recently, and I hadn't been posting consistently in the classroom, it would be a little awkward to post there. I'll explain her path and what she was doing below. You're neither friend nor foe, though I can't seem to let you go... █ █ █ █ ████ █ ███ ▌ ▌▌▌ █████ ████ ██ █ ▌▌▌ ▌ ██The one thing I still know is...xGravityx-xSaraxBareillesxxxxxxxxxxxxxɢilℓч чamαsнiтα xxAndxitxisxmexxxthat you're keeping me xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ↓ down.Although Gilly had taken note of Axel's sudden leave in the middle of class, she hadn't been too concerned. After all, he was a responsible boy who could, she believed, take care of himself. Still, he hadn't returned after class, leaving Gilly to wonder a bit. Certainly, the messenger didn't look scary or intimidating. Perhaps he was at the dean's office?
Yeah, that must be it. She reinforced her theory, taking a small sip of her coffee as she let it go for now. Throughout class, Gilly had been fairly quiet, an occasional stroke of the ears here and there to Masato, completing her assignment, and taking note of her homework. Not too hard. Ciado-san surprised me though. Gilly thought, as she perused the menu at the small cafe she'd chosen for lunch, faithful Masato perched on the chair across from her. She's...unusually insightful. At least, when it comes to that class. She never really talked before, did she? With a little chuckle, Gilly rolled her eyes, scolding herself. How would I know anyway? I could barely remember her name and what she's like.
Turning her attention to Masato, Gilly managed a brief smile. "Sorry, Masa-kun. I can't decide on what's good here." She reached over the table to give his cheek a playful squeeze. "A little rascal like you should know this area. What do you recommend?"

Gilly had picked a nice little cafe in the Shopping District where they could eat lunch and Masato sat upon a chair next to her while she perused the menu, looking at the pictures of food along with names of others as she did so. Gilly then said she couldn't decide what was good around there and asked him what she would recommend. There was something on one of those pages he remembered was very good and actually stole right out of a professor's hand on top of other things in a takeout-bag a month or so before he met Gilly. Masato pawed lightly at the menu in Gilly's hand, turning the pages a couple times before finding its name in print. "The chicken salad sandwich here is excellent. Chicken baked and cut to perfection with four types of cheese, bits of grated carrot and celery; along with a tinge of garlic mixed with small slices of red onion and mayo...I'd personally recommend it," Masato told her cheerfully but not loudly enough for the staff to hear him speak while pointing at it with his paw on the list. "As for drinks, it pretty much goes well with anything," he told Gilly in the same tone with a foxy grin and his bushy tail swishing lightly behind him.

Nothing that Gilly couldn't take. As the waiter came around, Gilly pointed to the selection and ordered a glass of lemonade to go with it, and shifted the menu over to Masato so he could order what he wanted. Of course, Gilly knew they'd probably take the long way home to burn off the extra calories she worried Masato would be getting from this steady diet of food.
As the waiter left with the orders, Gilly sat back in her chair, fiddling with her phone as she gazed around the cafe. A few students here and there, typical for the district, during lunch time. Generally, most of the students stayed in the cafeteria, or headed out to Chao Bao Zi. The district was a bit of hike from the main buildings, but for the quick walker, it was a breeze. Or for the apt flyer, it was quick.
For the most part, the cafe was quiet, a simple hole in the wall, not attracting too much attention from passerby, who migrated toward the more glitzy and chic spots. But thanks to the low amount of people, Gilly knew Masato could talk freely. And if not, what was a little magic for?
"Masa-kun." She began abruptly, her gaze still looking off in the background, before it shifted to rest on her companion's furry face. "You're a guy. Do guys..." Her fingers played with her phone more, tossing it from hand to hand, tapping it against her chin. "Get annoyed if girls tell them something personal? Just to, y'know, get it off their shoulders and stuff?" Her tone was level, but from her antsy gestures, it was clear she was trying her best to keep her question as nonchalant as she could.

It was nice and quiet where they were, though business did pick up inside that café in the afternoon when students and professors got out of class and off work and wanted something to take home with them. Masato pointed at the item right below the chicken sandwich Gilly ordered, ordering half a turkey sandwich with lettuce, bits of onion, and mayo. Foxes didn’t eat as much as humans, so a sandwich half the size of what Gilly was getting was plenty for him already. Gilly then spoke up, stopping for a moment before asking him if guys got annoyed if girls told them personal things just to get them off their shoulders or minds. “Most of us don’t, and honestly, I really wouldn’t mind listening to you. Anything to help you or at the very least, make you feel better,” Masato told his beloved owner. Whatever Gilly had to say, he’d listen carefully to. And if there was anything that could be done to help her, he would gladly do.

Gilly replied absentmindedly, her hand waving at Masato loosely, as if she were shooing him away. But a slight pause ensued afterwards, as she realized how rude and brash she must have sounded. "S-Sorry. I didn't mean--" Her voice trailed off as she saw the waiter approaching, and shut her mouth. The waiter set the chicken sandwich down for Gilly, and the half turkey sandwich in front of Masato, as well as a medium size saucer of water, and a glass of lemonade for Gilly. He departed with a small desert menu for the pair to look over, and shuffled back into the interior.
As he left, Gilly turned to her sandwich, clapping her hands together for a quick 'itadakimasu', before taking a bite. "I didn't mean talking to you, Masa-kun. I've already talked to you." A slight smile crept up on her lips. "And trust me, you did help. I'm...I'm talking about Wolfram-kun." She finally admitted, and took a long drink of lemonade to hide her guilty look. "I just feel bad not telling him everything about that night. When...he left." Her voice got softer as she remembered the night of Ian's betrayal, but with another bite of her sandwich, she seemed to regain her courage, although her shoulders remained tense at the thought of the brown-haired boy. "And with the Osaka dinner, with Hiryuu-san, I'm not sure how to approach him anymore. It's...it's difficult."

Masato was not offended by Gilly's initial statement but instead waited for Gilly to finish while staying quiet as the waiter brought their orders and a desert menu to their table. He then listened to the rest of Gilly's statement before thinking for a moment and responding as soon as he was sure no one was within earshot of them.
"Everyone has their secrets, sore topics, or skeletons in the closet and with that, you really don't have to put everything out on the table all at once...only what you're ready to reveal without hurting yourself. I'm sure Axel understands that and won't judge you negatively for it. However, if you do feel the need to tell him those things, your best bet could be to do it straight-up and honestly, yet politely within a neutral setting; similar to the one we're currently in. But don't bring those things up immediately. Take the edge off the situation first, that way you have more time to prepare yourself and he'll be more receptive and and willing to listen," Masato said, speaking from experience. "Guys generally don't like people beating around the bush when it comes to telling them things, especially things they wanted to know prior but were withheld from them, but they aren't made of iron either; despite their facades and appearances. As with anyone else, it's often best to set them down and take the edge off things first....then you could tell everything straight and drop things on them."

Male or female, no one would appreciate a boatload of information coming at them. It wouldn't be appropriate, and would probably end up driving Axel away. And for Gilly, that was the last thing she wanted to do, although her odd and erratic behavior was probably doing the job for her.
"I owe him an explanation." Gilly murmured, and scoffed. "I owed him an explanation long before Osaka." I know I wanted not to drag Wolfram-kun into this but... With a slight shake of her head, she sighed, taking another bite of her sandwich as she leaned back in her chair. Just who am I really helping by telling my story?
With yet another shake of her head, Gilly forced herself to take a sip of her lemonade. No. I can't think too much! Doubting myself never led to anything good. Masa-kun is right. I'll figure it out. Nearly done with her sandwich now, Gilly grinned at Masato, reaching over the table to ruffle his fur. "Thanks, Masa-kun. Beneath the fur," She put down her sandwich, and moved her hands in front of her face, spreading them out as if she were revealing a billboard. "There's a wise old geezer." She joked, but shook her head. "I do need to...apologize to Hiryuu-san too...eventually."

Masato smiled and purred as Gilly ruffled his fur before chuckling at what she said. "Hey, I'm not that old..." he chuckled further before Gilly said she'd need to apologize to Regan eventually. "If you need someone to back you up while you're doing it, I'll be glad to come with you. That or I could apologize on your behalf if that would make it easier for you. Either way, I'm sure Hiryuu-san would understand," Masato told his beloved owner reassuringly before taking a small, fox-sized bite out of his turkey sandwich. A small sandwich compared to Gilly's yet quite filling for a fox like him. Masato then took another bite before the bell on the cafe's door rang as it opened and he felt a familiar set of hands scratch behind his ears and stroke the fur beneath his chin.
(Ayame enters from Mahora Academy)
"I was wondering where the two of you were. And it appears Gilly is feeding you well as usual," Ayame said cheerfully before pulling a chair up and taking a menu from the waiter before thanking him. "Gilly-san is most generous," Masato replied in the same manner. "And that's one reason we love her," Ayame finished for her polymorphed lover. "I wanted to join you two for lunch, but the professors were called in for a meeting that took longer than it should. I'd be glad to buy the two of you dessert though. How's that sound?"

Back her up? He made it sound like Regan was some sort of bully, whom Gilly needed to get back her lunch money or something. "No, no. I have to do it alone, and by myself. An apology doesn't mean nearly as much if I have a messenger to do it for me." Gilly chuckled, and grinned at Masato. "Even if I'm sure Hiryuu-san would forgive me if you just looked at her."
As Ayame joined them, Gilly welcomed her with a slight bow of her head, and chuckled, finishing up her sandwich, and following up with another drink of her lemonade. So I'm only good for my generosity? What a wonderful trait to put on my college resume. She mused to herself, but smiled. "That's very kind of you, Ayame-san, but I don't know if I can eat another bite." Patting her tummy, Gilly thought for a moment. "Dessert might be a good way to break the ice between Hiryuu-san and myself." E-Even if my apology won't be immediate, it doesn't...hurt to bait her with sweets, does it? In truth, Gilly had no idea on how to apologize to Regan. How could she say sorry without disclosing everything?
Explaining seems to bring more trouble than its worth, jeez. Gilly grumbled, and sighed. If only there were-- "Hey, Masa-kun. Do you remember that book you gave me?" The lavender haired girl held up her hands to demonstrate the size of the book in question. "Magic for beginners or something? Written by Professor Dumbledore or someone like that?"

"Hm?" Masato asked upon hearing about the book along with Dumbledore's name while his ears twitched slightly. "Oh, that's Obe and Mordenkaien's Beginnings of Magic: For the Budding Mage in All of Us (I think that was the title...please correct me if I'm wrong). They were great archmagi and some of the best teachers of magic the Magic World has ever seen." That last part was a bit of an understatement to say the least. Their work was revered by both the Library of Kings' circle of mages and the owners of the Charon School of Magic and that book Masato and Ayame gave to Gilly was actually an original copy they got from the black market in Elysium. They paid a pretty penny for it and became a very useful stepping stone for them in grasping the use of Western magic. "If you want help getting started in learning magic from that book, Ayame and I would be glad to help."

[ Enters from Pagoda Cafe ]
"Hm? So where did that boy go~? He didn't look much like a student."
Strolling around the shopping district, Elise gripped the drink she bought from the Pagoda Cafe tightly, hoping to gain some warmth in her fingertips. The part-time teacher was sure she had seen the boy move further into the shopping district, but where? She herself was still new to the surroundings, so for now, she'd have to rely on mere estimations. "He seemed kind of frantic...or maybe freaked out? Not scared, though. Definitely not that... Hm."
She continued her strolling, her spirits being lifted by the thought of finding another interesting person. In fact, Ellie was practically skipping now, checking through store windows, staring at passing students, and peering into alleyways. Alleyways... "Wait, what was that?" The blonde foreigner skidded to an awkward stop after being in mid-skip and glanced into a small alleyway. "Did something move over there~?" she asked herself curiously.
Not thinking much of it, she approached the figure in the alleyway while wearing a large grin. "Oh, so there you are~ You're the kid from the cafe, ne? Quite a little scene you put on." She looked him over, making observations of his current state. "Well, this seems off." she thought. Why did the boy look a bit worn out? All he did was run here...

"Oh-ho~ What a touchy kid."
Elise's right hand moved to her waist, her left still holding onto her drink. "You seem to be having issues." She contemplated taking a sip from her beverage, but shook her head. Sure, it was still a bit nippy from the cold winds earlier, but Ellie wasn't all that affected by weather. And perhaps her drink could go towards something else...later. "You look familiar." Maybe he was a student? Ellie would think that she could remember, though. She raised a brow. "Who are you, anyway? Are you even a student at Mahora?" Her tone didn't indicate much authority, but mostly just pure curiosity. Because she was. The boy seemed different and his troubles amused her... For the moment, that is.
