The dorm rooms are complete with three beds; one bunk bed and one separate bed, with an open kitchen, which has one refrigerator, one electric stove, with an oven attached, one stainless steel sink, counter space, a microwave, a toaster and cabinets. There is also an eating area, with room for electronic entertainment, and it is furnished with a low eating table with four cushions. There is also a bathroom with a toilet, sink, a shower.

Even with the sun coming into the room Makie was still pretty fast asleep in her bed dreaming of gymnastic competitions and Negi. She held onto her pillow in her arms as she mumbled things in her sleep. Makie squirmed around in her bed before falling out onto the floor and finally waking up. "Owwie~ And I was having such a ice dream too." Makie pouted a little as she sat up from the floor. She glanced around for the clock and saw the time, it was early for class but Makie had overslept since she had planned to do some gymnastics practice early this morning. Oh well, she had gotten some practice since she missed the trip to Osaka. "Oh! They should be back now!" Makie was rather excited to see her friends again it had been a while, not considering the trip that she missed.
She grabbed her uniform and hurried into the bathroom to get ready for class. Coming out of the bathroom she hurried over to her things and grabbed her school stuff. "I'm heading off to class, don't stay in bed too long!" Makie called out to her roommates who were or would be waking soon before she stepped out the door and locked it behind her.

Makie entered the room and closed it behind her as she hummed walking over to her dresser to get her clothes. She dug around for the clothes she was looking for, a fitness/track suit and a gym shirt and shorts. Normally she'd just use the shirt and shorts but it was kind of cold outside, so she'd need it for a little bit of warmth though once she got going she'd probably be good anyway. Her roommates hadn't returned it seemed so there wasn't a real need to go change in the bathroom. Quickly stripping down right there she changed into her knew clothes and set her uniform on her bed before grabbing some of her gymnastics equipment, like her ribbon and stuff. "Alright, looks like everything." Makie gave one more quick check, yup everything. "Alright then, off we go~" With that Makie opened the door and headed off to go practice somewhere, locking the door behind her.

Makie unlocked the door to her room and stepped in glancing around. Nope, still no one here yet. Oh well, a little saddening to Makie to see no one else here yet but she'd manage. She held the door for Eric as he followed not to far behind her. Once he had the door Makie went over to her bed and things and put her practice equipment down, giving a little stretch afterwards. "Do you want a drink or something?" She asked as he walked to the kitchen area and opened the small fridge to get a drink. The least she could do is offer him a drink. She was curious what all Eric was going to explain to her, he had the books but there was more he himself wanted to say it seemed.

"Sure, thanks..." Eric replied with a nod, closing the door behind him immediately after. He took a quick glance around, though still kept a somewhat apathetic, or rather nonchalant look, and then set the books down on the nearby table. Seconds later the little illusion spell on them faded, and they turned into... well... really old tomes, and one of them doubled in size. He took one and held it up in front of him for a moment and then set it back down, pages open.
this should be the first one then....

Makie nodded and grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge, well they didn't have much in the room yet. She hadn't stocked on things yet and even if she did Makie was more of a snack food junkie opposed to cooking or stuff like that. Coming to the table she set the bottle in front of Eric as she watched as the book changed after Eric set them on the table. This was magic right? Not the same scale as earlier but still. Makie looked at Eric and then down at the open book he laid in front of her on the table. What exactly is going to be in these books?

Eric flicked an eye at the bottle but then went back to the open book. "Here... read this one first." However... the thing was the book was written in Latin.... he muttering a small incantation under his breath. In seconds the writing changed from Latin into Japanese. Well of course another spell most wouldn't know. This was an odd perk with Eric... who knew almost too much...
"Just go through the first 5 pages, and you should be able to get a grasp on things." Eric added. "Let me know when you're done, or if you have anything to ask, as silly as it may sound, there's a ton of things that are odd even to the arcane. "

The Half-Demon Aristocrat of a Questionable History There was a small knock on the door. At least she knew how to let people know she was coming in before she actually did let herself in. Adrastea opened the door and shut it behind her, before looking around. Ah. Girl and boy. Who were her roommates? She wasn't sure, were they both living here or something? "Didn't mean to interrupt." She said plainly, looking at them both, her blue eyes probably already making first impressions by looks on the both of them. What were they doing anyway?

The lights flickered for a second. The first sign something was going to happen.
In a matter of seconds, the building seemed to go black as the electricity went out in the hallways, then each dorm room lost all of its power.

Eric turned his head after hearing Adrastea come in, as well as sort of say something. "Eh? oh, you're not... " he sort of lied, but he sensed something off her... so letting the books stay the way they were didn't seem to be a problem.
but then the lights went out. Eric looked up non-nonchalantly until everything finally went black. "....great... blackout..." he muttered. "uh.. anyone got a flashlight?" he added, though in actuality, something seemed off. He could see as if the lights didn't go off at all seconds later. Perhaps it was a permanent spell he had used in himself before he lost his memory?

Makie nodded before looking to the opened book. She sweat dropped a little as she saw what was actually on the pages, some language other than Japanese. It was bad enough with English in Negi's class, she along with the other Baka Rangers were the ones who had the most trouble. With that in mind even if only some actually knew Latin, mostly mages, she had no idea if that was even a language. She gave a light gasp though as the words on the pages changed into Japanese. Well that's ... helpful. She thought to herself. It was probably Eric who did that to help her.
Makie started to read the pages when she heard a knocking at the door and lifted her head, turning to see a blond haired girl walking in. She had a roommate! "Hi! Oh don't worry." Makie quickly perked up and greeted the girl in her cheery manner. She didn't really even think if she actually was interrupting anything which she might have been but not that much. Especially not before what happened next. "Ehhh?!" Makie gave a gasp as the lights cut out. A black out? It wasn't the one that's schedule every year for maintenance ... and the dorms didn't get them that often. Makie began to wonder if something might have happened, probably not but it was a thought.
Slowly standing up Makie slowly stumbled around the dark room searching. There were obvious 'thunks' followed by a couple 'Ow's and whines audible to the other two making it obvious she was moving around and failing at it as well. After a little work she came to what she was looking for, her dresser. Digging around she found the flashlight she was looking for and clicked it on pointing it around the room and at Eric and her new roommate. "Found one!" Makie smiled feeling kind of glad she actually had one put away. "I wonder what caused it though ..." Makie brought a finger to her chin tapping it lightly.

Well, she couldn't say that yet. She wasn't sure what caused the blackout either, but..."Well, what's done is done I guess. No use in trying to figure out why it happened." She said. In the darkness, no one could see it. But her right eye turned red, able to penetrate the darkness easily as she went into the bathroom. "I'm going to change in hte bathroom." She told them just in case. She honestly could care less what they were both doing, as long as it didn't annoy her.

"I'm not even sure, it could just be a normal one..." Eric replied, lying completely. He sensed something else... most likely the cause of all this. Boy this was just one of those days, wasn't it?
"Well, its best we stay put and wait it out. Besides, our eyes can adjust to the dark." He then added, and looked back to the book. He sort of wanted to continue explaining to Makie... but with this.... ugh...

Iziz walked up to the first dorm he could find and knocked on the door.
"Campus Security is everyone okay in there!" He called out.
Iziz wasn't sure at all about what was going on but he knew what he needed to do... and that was ensure the students of the academy were safe.

"Ok." Makie nodded as she watched her new roommate go to change in the bathroom, closing the door behind her. She still had to shower actually ... but if it was like this that would be hard. Guess she'd hope the power came back on in the morning? But then what were they to do now, Eric was supposed to explain to her about the books and magic and stuff, this wasn't going to help at all.
"I guess your right but ..." Makie looked to Eric and pointed her light at a nearby clock, luckily those weren't electronic so it still worked. "It's getting really late. Maybe we should do this later? We could meet up after classes or something." Makie proposed an option, it really was hard to do what they planned with the power like this and who knew when it would be back on.
Then came a voice from the halls, campus security. Well at least they'd been informed it seemed. Or they were wandering the halls, who knows. "Yes! We're alright! Don't worry we have a flashlight!" Makie called out to the person in the hallway. Yeah they were fine, it was inconvenient but the blackout wasn't doing any real harm.
