I just want to clarify with everyone the idea of a newsletter for this guild.

I think that newsletters are a great way to keep everyone up to date on what is going on in the guild currently and what to expect in the near future. I also like to use this to take the time for guildies to get to know me, their Captain. smile
I also believe that this is a good way to pull people back to the guild who are members and may not be checking regularly. I know that most people don't realize they get replies to their posts unless they are actually quoted (which I try to make a conscious effort to do each time) and newsletters in announcement form are a good way to remind them that we are here and we are active. wink

I will be typing up a newsletter each month (not necessarily on the 1st since, I am human after all and have a life) and posting it here on the main forum (they will always be by month and year.) Within each newsletter I will detail what's up with me, followed by an overview of the previous month and what I would love to see happen in the current month ahead.
Along with each newsletter, I will be also sending a truncated copy via the guild announcements. Due to character constraints, the announcement version of the newsletter will only have the beginning of each section of the newsletter, followed by a period trail to imply that there is more. I will also provide a direct link at the top of the announcement to the full newsletter within the forum.
