La Légion Craftastique - November 2011

Hello there my wonderful guildies! October has come to a close and the start of the busiest crafting season has officially started. I don't really care for the frazzlement of the holiday season but, in November I usually start making my "Crafti-do" list of personalized gifts for my loved ones. What about you? Is it easier to just buy pressies for people or to make them?
Anyhoo, my October was filled with the remnants of faire life (which I updated in the General Chatter forum after each weekend), getting bronchitis (and going to the ER, AGAIN!), and making a last minute costume for a Halloween party. My son got me off the hook this year by actually deciding he wanted an "off-the-rack" costume so, I wasn't too frazzled in the sewing department. If you want to see some of the things I made, check out the Other and Fabric October projects forums (I would love the input.)

I would still LOVE to have some Crew members to help with some of the finer details of guild life. For a general description of what I am looking for in a Crew member, there is a post on the main forum entitled, “Join the Crew!” If you are interested, please PM me.

October Guild Recap:
-Costume contest was posted but got no takers so it was canceled.
-On the main board I introduced the idea of making an official crafting guild in the future and mentioned the FB group that I also had started a while back (see October 2011 subforum.)
-October was a pretty dead month, unfortunately. I was looking forward to seeing costumes, etc. *sad face*
-Polls started for the following:
Main forum there is a poll about the aforementioned "Official Guild" idea.

What to expect for November:
Monthlies for November have already been started and empty monthlies have been pruned.
I would love to have another contest. I don't have any planned at the moment because last months was such a flop. I am open to suggestions though and am willing to start one if I get enough people willing to participate. smile
Kitteh Tig is looking for Resort World players... go to the Gaia Related subforum to talk to her about it or talk about other games/applications that Gaia is now hosting (such as Backyard Monsters, etc.)
