We all have at least one. That anime/manga/game that we secretly love to pieces for whatever reason, but are slightly ashamed to 'fess up to in public. Well, now's the time to come clean!
What is your guilty pleasure/s? And why? :3
My guilty pleasure anime is Seikon no Qwaser. I fell in love with the main character Sasha, the fight scenes were cool, and it was actually pretty funny at parts. But there were so many boobs-- I mean, duh. It is an ecchi. I hate when people find out that I like it without me explaining why, because they always give me that shifty "DON'T KNOW IF LESBIAN" look. xD;;;

My guilty pleasure for anime / manga? I'd say KissxSis. The story is an ecchi / harem about a 15 year old kid who is in love with his two 16 year old twin sisters, but he's embarrassed about it. They aren't. So they put him into these incredibly awkward situations, or fight with each other over him. The entire story is hilarious.
I'm sad though...the website that I've been reading the manga from hasn't updated in like two months. I want to know if Keita will make his virgin (and closet otaku) homeroom teacher a "true woman" on her front porch or not.
Oh, and the anime has completed =( I doubt they'll make a second season, and even if they did - it'll probably never make it onto American soil except through black market importing. If anyone gets a chance, they should watch the anime. The ending video is entertaining.

I watched the first five KissxSis OVAs. :3 I thought it was funny, indeed, and got some really interesting screenshots from it.
How is the manga different from the OVA? (other than the fact that it's still running and the OVA has wrapped up)
EDIT: Took a peek at your profile, and yay a fellow Shuffle! fan~ 8D

EDIT: Took a peek at your profile, and yay a fellow Shuffle! fan~ 8D The OVA took things out of order from the manga, and some things in the OVA never actually happened in the manga. For instance, the situation in the gym storage building between Keita and Miharu never occurred in the manga. Also, in the manga, Mikazuki (the sister of the teacher/little girl that flashes Keita every chance she gets) has a much larger role in the story than in the anime.

I suppose my guilty pleasure would have to be Negima. It's a little too...showing for my tastes but the story was just so dang cute. (I'm talking about the original series WHICH I HAVE SEARCHED HIGH AND LOW FOR and cannot find.)

Half sisters, I might add. They aren't related by blood, just by marriage. If they aren't related by blood at all, then the correct term would be step-sisters. Half implies that they share a parent. It still grosses me out. It's very nearly as bad as "Me & My Brothers", at least in this, the age gap is one year instead of 10. -shivers-

You still have the option of getting the original Negima if you don't mind buying used. It's going for $41 on Amazon, with free shipping, for a near-mint box set.

It's not the OVA I want, that's for sure. The series (evidently) got redone and I'm searching for the original 26 episodes. -clenches fist- One of my best guy friends owned that series on DVD, so I know it exists. Which of the links you sent me is the OVA?

Which of the links you sent me is the OVA? Neither of those are the OVA. If what I'm reading on Wikipedia is correct, then the first one (Negima!) is what you're looking for. However, what your friend might have is the original anime work that had a bunch of translation / art errors in it. They fixed it to make it closer to the manga as it was intended. Here's a quote: "Due to protests against the animation in Mahōu Sensei Negima!, the DVD release has been revised from the TV version. Various episodes have redrawn characters, expressions, scenes, and even a few episodes have been redrawn completely. The redraws are minor, and fix errors like in episode 16 Makie has six fingers in a scene. Funimation used this version for their English release of the series." The second link (and really, I sent you the wrong link, here is the real one) is of the alternate story. In conclusion - you want the one in the green box. Or, if you want the one with errors in it, then you want one that has been out of production for 7 years now.

What do you mean by alternate story? Is this the series that showed Sayo Aisaka's backstory partways through and where Asuna died? (And then had the past tweaked so as to nullify her agreement with the you-know-what?) The one with errors in it I doubt I've ever seen. If it went out of production 7 years ago, there's no way that's the set Tim showed me. That was only 5 years ago. 'Course I don't know how long he owned it...but I don't think it's the bad set. -gnaws fingernails- I'll go and ask him about it.

Lol I sent you two different links: One with a green box, and one with an orange. The orange one, which is the one I own, is the alternate story. I haven't seen the original Negima, so I'm not sure to what degree the "alternate" story differs. I think Rahna's new inadvertent guilty pleasure is making me research for her =P
