Bio: Mia's older brother Sam takahashi is a known champion of Hoenn. Hailing from the small island town of Alto Mare MIa and her (twin) brother Leo grew up dreaming of someday going to Arceus academy like their older brother, who had traveled out of the island and became a master. Both of them worshiped their older brother as younger siblnilgs often do.
Sam Takahashi dissapeared in a ship wreck in Tojho Falls when the twins were a month away from their 10th birthday leaving his family devastated as they saw their home pulled apart by grief and loss. Their parents were consumed by grief barely sparing them a glance and the town that had once held so much joy now felt like it had trapped them as every corner held a now painful memory.
The twins' life might have held nothing but sorrow, had a letter not arrived on their 10th birthday.
The letter had arrived from Arceus Academy, the school Sam had attended. Before his dissapearance, Sam had arranged for the twins to go to the Academy as a birthday present, having set up trust funds to pay for their tuition.
For the twins this was an oprotunity, as well as a sign. They now had a way out of the island that had been their home hell and sanctuary. Also itgave them home, that despite everyone giving up their brother was out there somewhere and he wanted them to find him. This is more tru for Mia who is more of of a dreamer than her brother and who shared a especial kind of bond with him. ( she was the youngest and was looked after by both her brothers)
Personality: Smart, Ambitious, independent, hyper, sweet, stubborn. Because of what happened with her brother and due to her having such an inquisitive mind, Mia wants to be an investigative journalist. Something that to her guarantees the truth and help her prevent pain like the one her family went trough. She dislikes deceit and can unearth the truth like a dugtrio. She can be very tenacious and very curious which sometimes gets her into trouble. She can be a bit hard headed and very hyper as well as not always aware of what happens around her. This is due both to her natural way to tackle things as well as being the youngest. Because she was the youngest she has a bit of a dreamer streak and despite the tragedy in her life she remains optimist by nature. Though she thinks about her brother often, more often than people may think, and it causes her pain it doesn't show on the surface and what she presents people with is the face of a very sweet and cheerful girl. Her brother's dissaparance is her most guarded secret and not something she shares with just anyone.
As a child she often dreamed of battling and becoming a champion like her brother and used to "play-battle" with him all time. Now those dreams are gone though, as Mia couldn't bear being separated from her twin, the two were always attached at the head and after. Sam's disspearance have grown even closer. She also fears if she becomes a trainer she will dissapear like Sam and she couldn't do that to Leo.
Because of this her main class is breeding, something she feels comfortable with and feels is a good career ( aside for journalism) as she really enjoys caring for her pokemon. Her brother disappearing changed Mia as she is not as hyper as she used to be and acts a bit more grown up, though she's still hyper enough to be differentiated from her twin. One more thing, she is very protective of her twin.
Mia's started pokemon was picked by Sam due to her determination and sometimes hotheadedness.

Bio: Leo is Mia's older twin and grew up with her in Alto Mare, where he lived until their brother disappeared and the twins were sent to Arceus Academy.
Personality: Not as extrovert as his twin Leo is a bit of a bookworm. He was a bit shy but like his twin, his brother's disappearance changed that a bit. Leo is responsible by nature and can be a bit too serious for his age,although Mia can usually get him to have some fun. Like Mia he once dreamed of being a trainer but put those dreams aside in fear of disappearing like their elder brother.
Leo has a strong sense of what is right and wrong, this along with his brother's disappearance motivated him to want to become a detective. To lock up the bad guys and keep things like what happened to his brother from happening to anyone else.He cannot stand to see someone big pick on someone small and is one of the two things that will make him angry ( the other being seeing his twin cry). He takes his job seriously and has been labeled a geek by most people. All in all Leo is a typical "nice guy", he wears his heart on his sleeve and is open with everyone.
Leo's pokemon was picked by Sam due to Leo's disciplined nature.
