Wild Battle RulesSo you want to battle a wild pokemon on one of the routes, eh? Well here's the rules for battling one.
1.
Figure out what Team you are: Upon receiving your starter Pokemon from Professor Oak you not only choose who you get as a starter, but also what wild pokemon will be available to you for random encounters. Each route will list what teams will find which pokemon on the route. To make things more interesting, A day and night system will be added where certain days will count as Morning, Daytime, and Nighttime. Where each week will consist of two days in this manor with one day being a wild card day.
Wild Card
On the designated "Wild Card" Day, You will roll a 6-sided dice to determine what time of day it is on the first post made during that day.
A result of 1-2 results in Morning
While a 3-4 results in Daytime
And finally a 5-6 results in Nighttime
2.Now that you know what Pokemon are available, You should look at the rarity of each Pokemon. When entering a random battle, roll a 100 sided or percentile dice, match the percentage with the chart for your path and time of day chosen. (
Deleting posts on routes is not allowed and anyone found doing so will be subject to punishment and/or removal from game.)
3.Now you know what you have encountered, Time to battle it. Your Pokemon team should have their stats on the first page of your journal, just compare the speeds to determine who goes first.
4. Each attack has directions on how to use it and how to calculate damage for it. Just select an attack an follow its steps.
5.Opponents turn: A Wild Pokemon has 1-4 moves, the less moves it has the less likely it is to even attack here. Each Pokemon available on the route will come with a list of moves 1-4, just simply roll a 4-sided die and read what it does.
6.Trying to catch a Pokemon: Each Pokeball will have its own statistics to it, but by sacrificing a turn for you to attack, you may opt to throw a Pokeball rolling a 100-sided dice. Each Pokeball will have a percentile listed that the dice has to be under to capture. Status conditions will affect as well.
Capture Modifiers
Asleep: Add 20 to your goal percentile.
Frozen: Add 15 to your goal percentile.
Paralyzed: Add 10 to your goal percentile.
Burned: Add 5 to your goal percentile.
Poisoned: Add 5 to your goal percentile.
Confused: Add 1 to your goal percentile.
Fainted: Since you cannot capture a fainted pokemon, multiply the goal by 0, resulting in a 0, as in you just wasted a Pokeball.
Anything over 99 will auto-capture.
7.Fainted Pokemon: When Hp reaches 0, a Pokemon has fainted and the opponent is rewarded XP, This will be done by a moderator or Admin. After a battle, you should contact one by Submitting Battle Review Request. (Pm with link to where battle starts.) When battle has been reviewed, the admin or mod will post with how much xp was gained.
