Wow, I was playing this morning and was playing the Sorin Markov deck against Garruk. In my opening hand, I had Captivating Vampire and two other vampire creatures. I thought to myself 'hey, wouldn't it be cool to control all his creatures?' Well, the moment I did he played Grazing Gladeheart and decided to commit to it. I played my fifth vampire, tapped all five to gain control of it. Next turn, he plays Garruk's Packleader. On my turn, I gained control of it too and summoned Child of Night and drew a card (because CoN becomes a 3/2 thanks to Captivating Vampire wink ).
The insanity kept happening before the end of Garruk's turn as I kept tapping five vampires to gain control of all his creatures. After controlling ten vampires, I was able to gain control of pretty much anything he played. He never summoned Thrun, the Last Troll before I defeated him, but I think that's the only one I couldn't control due to Hexproof.
In the end, I controlled one Grazing Gladeheart, two Garruk's Packleaders, two Runeclaw Bears and one of the crocodile creatures. After attacking with Tormented Soul, I realized that I could use Captivating Vampire's ability on it and make it a vampire too. And the moment I did, I won and the game crashed on the loading screen.
TL;DR?
Moral of the story is Captivating Vampire is fun. 3nodding
Has anyone else ever experienced this on Duels of the Planeswalkers or any of the older MTG PC/Console games?
