Vampires are always seen as those classic blood sucking freaks who hunt during the night, cloaked in darkness, they stalk young virgins and pounce on them, fangs bared, the girl screams! Then her cries die down as the pleasure sets in, orgasmic pleasure...

I am not that kind of vampire, not that those really exist, maybe some of those blood suckers that have read too many romance novels. I am more subtle about my approach to feeding, staying in crowds, wandering the night and day, only stopping to seriously feed once every month or so. Emotions, those are what I feed off of, be it happy or sad, excite or anger. Any will feed me, quell the hunger that builds, but only one will satisfy me, give me the edge I need, and only I can inflict that emotion, as the lights leave their eyes and their final breath, horrified and gurgling. Only then....may I be at my peak.

Tonight, I hunt for my serious meal, the back alleys are perfect, so many miserable people, so many that no one will miss, easy pickings, its like they beg to be taken. I tie my hair up into a pony tail, allowing good eye contact when I find it, my perfect meal. I watch them walk, sense their emotions, looking for the one who shows most weakness, or is the most hopeless....

A sweet emotion....one of the sweetest, not that I would tell that to anyone, not that anyone I tell lives to tell another. I follow the aura, taking my steps slow and casual, not quite at the point of desperation, but another day without this feeding, I would be another ravenous monster, grabbing some random citizen and denying them the rest of their life. Happened once, that poor kid, though I only felt bad afterward. Humans....always have that deep dark place in their mind no matter how happy they seem. I look down the alleys as I walk, my dress swishing behind me as I walk. I was getting close to the source, to my meal, and the longer I waited the stronger it got....

Finally....I set sights on the source of the aura, weak and broken....Now don't mess this up....

"E-excuse me....?" I make my voice as shy as possible, with a hint of fright.

I flinch slightly for effect. "I ... acabo de ver que estaba herido, y se preguntó si necesitaba ayuda ..." Glad for being around for so long to know most of the languages. 'Leader' would always have us study, to be able to fit in with human society before we could leave the coven. And being out of there for such a long time gave me my own way to adapt...

I put my hands on my hips. "y perdón por el cuidado...idiota" I start walking down the alley, making as if I am going to walk right past him, trying to act as frustrated as possible.

As I take my next step, one right past him, I turn suddenly and grab him by the shoulders, my grip tight, my strength is incredible, I slam him against the wall, pinning him as best as I can, a subtle evil grin on my face. "oh hombre atormentado, lleno de dolor y desesperación, prepararse para lo peor puede traer...." I wait to see how he reacts before continuing.

I place my forehead against his, almost a tender gentle contact, I look into his eyes, blink once, then lets out a calm breath as I start searching his memories for the worst one, may it be hidden deep inside or fresh, while scanning he can see them flash in his mind, moments until the biggest surfaces and repeats on a loop in his mind.

It continues to loop.....and now on top of your fresh wounds, all wounds suffered in the past reopen, scars bloom into full open slashes, old bruises form into new, broken bones release their restored hold, everything. Such a messy process but the pain...the suffering, both emotionally and physically feed me, my eyes blank with concentration, my grip becoming stronger as my strength returns from lost energy.
