It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable.
- 1 Thessalonians 4- 3-4

It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; that each of you should learn to control your own body in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister. The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.

Thoughts...
Temptations are hard- but God is there through them all.
I would like you to read the verse and ponder "What does this mean?"
What do you get from this verse?
I see God telling me to wait- that He has someone out there for me and I just need to wait.
Today I made a promise to God. I promised Him that I would have abstinence until I'm married.. You don't have to be pure to make this same promise. Tonight I saw almost 100 people make this same promise. Some even shared their stories of their mistakes they've made and the new future they're looking forward to.
Its not easy, but its another closer step with God.

Prayer...
Father God, I ask you tonight to help me with temptations. Everywhere I look there is sex and violence. Lust plagues the streets, the internet, the TV. Father I just ask you that you shield me from such things, to help me with those thoughts that pop in my mind. Help me to have integrity and respect for myself to say no. Father, I ask you tonight to, please, help me get through and others to get through this spiritual and physical journey that is ahead of us. In Jesus' holy name I pray, Amen.
