xxxxxxxxxxxxWHEREtoSTART?
o great ↘↘ Hephaestus
hesiod has called me this ↘↘ Other names? I don't have as many as some of my godly brethern, and I'd rather not list them, but if I must.... Well, for one there's Åmphigúeis and that's my least favorite. It literally means the "lame one". Anyways, then there's Kullopodíon, which means "the halting'. Chalkeús, meaning "coppersmith". Klutotéchnes means “renowned artificer”, Polúmetis means “shrewd, crafty” or “of many devices”, Aetnaeus, because my workshop is on Mount Aetna, Erichthonius, Cacus, and Caeculus. Oh yeah, and the Romans call me Mercury. Happy now?
it should be obvious ↘↘ I'm a male, obviously. I don't believe a female could be this ugly.
it does help with the mortals ↘↘ *Sigh* Okay, fine. I'm about six feet, two inches tall, but I walk with a limp so it wavers with each step. Anyways, I always wear short cropped brown hair and a slightly scruffy beard. It hides the scars and pockmarks from constantly being in the celestial forge. And I just like the way it looks on me. I'v got blue eyes (surprised?) and tan skin. Working in the forge every day of my wonderful life has given me a nice, well toned body. Nicely muscled, truly. I almost always wear long pants, because I feel the need to hide my gimp foot, but I can be found in an assortment of shirts. Or none at all, if I'm in the forge.
bow down↘↘ You should know this by now. I'm the god of technology, blacksmiths, craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, metals, metallurgy, the forge, fire and volcanoes.

xxxxxxxxxxxxTHEtree'sLEAVESareTORNlikeOURhistory can't live without them ↘↘ Contrary to popular belief, Zeus is, in fact, my father. Actually, I am the only child that he and my mother, Hera, have together. And so, I just so happen to be my mother's only child. Zeus just saw me and thought me hideous, so he threw me off of the EFFING MOUNTAIN! Whew, sorry. Anger issues. Comes from my mother. playing nice ↘↘ I'v got tons of half siblings, thanks to my womanizing father. The most notable are Apollo, Artemis, Hermes, Athena, Ares, Persephone.
As for all the demi-god children? I'm not listing them, there's WAY too many. having my eyes ↘↘ My children? You want to know about them? Well, wait, let me get my wallet out. I'v got pictures of all of them. Look here, this first on is Henry Ford. The man who created the assembly line? Oh, and this is Thomas Faynor. Oh, look! These are two of my favorites, Orville and Wilbur Wright. They invented the engine powered airplane! Oh, and here's a young Pope Gregory Xlll. And this is Jake Mason. Oh, but they'r all my Demi-god children.
My godly children are Thalia, Eucleia, Eupheme, Philophrosyne, and Euthenia. heart heart ↘↘ Well, I'm married to Aphrodite, of course. She's the love of my life and I would never think about having feelings for someone else. Although it breaks my heart that she doesn't feel the same about me. She's always cheating on me, I can't stand it! Oh, but I love her still, even if she's unfaithful. I mean, I can't get mad at her, she's the goddess of love and beauty and sexuality. It's in her nature. breaking arms↘↘ The only one I'd want to throw off of this mountain is my father. See him suffer the same fate I did after he tossed me off. I couldn't help that I was crippled! And I hope my mother goes with him, for allowing him to do that to me.
There are others I would like to get back at. Like Ares. Oh, how I despise him. He steals my wife, then has the audacity to tell me to make him some armor! I'll make him something that traps in heat and fire instead of deflecting it. Oh, how I wish he would burn!

xxxxxxxxxxxxLIVEforeverWITHme want them ↘↘ Five things that I like? Well, I absolutely adore all of my children. It's not very often that you find a god or goddess who truly loves their children. That's one thing I can give Hermes and Athena, they share my sentiments about their children. Oh, and, naturally, I love fire. I don't know, there's just something about it that makes my heart quicken. I like watching mortals invent things, and sometimes I even reach down and help out a time or two. Oh, and I like any type of metal. Once I see some, I just have to manipulate it into something. Believe it or not, I have a particular fondness for those children of Poseidon, the Cyclopes. Me and them are like brothers in this cruel world dominated by beautiful people. They are constant companions and helpers in the heat of the forges. And my wife, Aphrodite, of course. go die ↘↘ I hate it when people pick on the little (or in some cases ugly) guy. Do they really have nothing better to do than tease people for things they can't control? I absolutely despise when people come into my private forge and fiddle around with things. I'm more likely to kill you than yell at you. Oh, and I hate when people stare at my gimp foot. Yes, I know it's ugly, you don't have to remind me. I can't stand quite places. When you'r so used to the constant noise of the forge, silence really starts to bother you. Oh, and I loathe that long climb up Mount Olympus. I make that trip frequently, but it never gets any better. having perks ↘↘ Well, let's see. I'm usually gruff and blunt, I don't beat around the bush. I don't have much faith in living organisms, because over the years, I'v found that machines never fail you, when people usually do. I am often sad and angry, prone to fits of depression or rage at random intervals. This is all accredited to my great love for my wife, my demi-god children and their mothers. I am often bitter, and hardly ever smile. Underneath my gruff and hard exterior, I am kind and loving, even though it hardly ever shows. I don't have many, if any, friends, so I do not know how to make them or keep them. going back ↘↘ Huh. Where to begin, where to begin? Let's start with my conception and birth. I
