{Credit for this idea doesn't go to me}

Humanity has changed in the years that have passed. It is now the year 3087 and humanity as we once knew it is gone. There are no thriving cities, no celebrations, no civilizations, no hope it seems. There was once a time when humanity thrived, but at the same time they were evil. They were such a blood-lusting society that they seemed to be worse than sin itself; and God could not stand to see them flourish any longer. In an attempt to purify the world he sent his angels to kill all living beings on the earth. He would let the earth heal and then he would begin anew, but there was one flaw, and the only flaw our creator made... He underestimated his creation. Humans have formed alliances with the other creatures of the world, trying to protect what they believe is their own. Even if alliances failed the humans believed that through their strength and theirs alone could they defeat the God who created them and continue to live.

There are no countries left, no continents, the only land mass left--not plunged into the sea by God's angels--was once upon a time Europe, and even then half has been taken over by the celestial beings, fortified as a camp site and a resting point for angels. The land still inhabited by humans is refereed to as gefallene Dämmerung, otherwise known as Fallen Twilight. The world is dim, even on sunny days, the permanent ash, debris and soot in the air has formed clouds of sickness and darkness, blotting out the brightest of the rays. This was what human's have caused, their hate and blood-lust gave birth to the First Attack, the First Wave.

The first wave of attacks was brutal, leaving children without families and families without children. Bodies lined the street until one day they all disappeared, not left to rot, simply gone, everything was just gone. Humans took this and learned from it having no choice but to try to fight, some taking up arms, learning magic or refining their skills in attack. People who once carried guns now carry swords because of there practicality, armies that were once strong with weapons now are scattered across the hell of Fallen Twilight. Even those humans with the upper hand of magic are still at a disadvantage; Angels are powerful beings and with holy magic on their side and they have very few weaknesses. Still, in order to have something up their sleeves alliances have been formed between beings previously at war. Humans are united as one, Vampires and Werewolves fight side by side but for how long will this last before animosity breaks out?
Time is growing short and only one question remains, what is your place in this battle for survival?

Things have began to slowly change for the better but what about the second wave? What will happen when it all gets destroyed again?

User Image

So only one question remains, which side will you fight on?

This world has fallen into disorder and chaos there are only a few rules.
•Try to keep playing fields even, if I spy more of one species than another, that entry list for X species is shutting down until the others catch up.
•Fighting and Romance are strongly encouraged (how else will you survive) but please keep it PG-13 and following the rules of TOC
•Please PM me your characters titled 'Organ Donor.' If I accept, I will give you permission post your profile and you are free to start role-playing.
•No Auto killing (obviously)
•No Godmoding (obviously)
•Be reasonable, If you don’t want your character to get killed but they’re in a fight with someone much more powerful, your character can escape but they’ll be severely or mortally wounded.
•If you are in a fight, your character will not come out unscathed. A good rule is for every two dodged attacks one will stick.
•You do not have to put a posting style, but I do ask that you put a link to your characters picture in your posts, preferably at the end.

History-Seto doesn't remember much of his life from before the First Attack. After that he came across an observatory where he lived with an old man who raised him. He never really got to know the man but that was okay, life was good enough for him, living in an old observatory. However the Old Man died of his late age, rather peacefully in his sleep. Seto buried him in the front yard before wandering around the observatory. he came across a note and a gem. The gem was the old man's precious treasure, and the letter claims he wishes he got to know Seto better before dying, but he was happy he didn't die alone. There was a small word of advice to look for other people, so Seto did.

He met four people during his year long trip, Sai died of sickness, Crow died of exhaustion and Rin went missing, abandoning Seto in the middle of the night and Penny died of wounds from dogs. While he didn't bury Crow or Sai, he regrets not doing so, instead covering them with the makeshift blankets before leaving them. These people helped him grow. Sai had been like an older sister for the month's they traveled, but she kept on coughing up blood and her last moments were her telling him to keep on searching. Crow had small homosexual tendencies, Seto not really denying because he was told its what friends did. Penny told him about what life was like before the First Attack, and it sounded interesting.

After wards, once again alone he traveled. He tends to keep any food that looks good to eat, or old candy and canned foods. However because of his loneliness he tends to talk to inanimate objects, giving them histories of who they belonged to and what happened. Seto travels at night, and while it is dangerous, its easier for him to hide. On his back he carries a golf back filled with metal poles, bats, golf clubs, the side pockets containing batteries and few bulbs for his flashlight.

████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████████Character Types

_________________________________General

• The Post-Apocalyptic world, while open to numerous species, is mostly overrun by Angels. They are the primary life form. Second to them is quite possibly vampires, and thirdly humans, but this is uncertain. Because of this, all characters must adhere to the regulations of such a world. That is, there are little to no guns and technology beyond whatever was left, if it is still in good condition. And just because you find a gun does not mean it has ammunition in it. Fantasy is a large aspect of the world and can easily be blown out of proportion. I do not wish to limit your imagination, but understand that there must be some form of grip on the creature you plan to use.

Angels - Angels are a serious matter. They are strong, ultimate sources of magic that are extremely hard to take down. In the falling world of the human race, the majority of these creatures have either taken over large portions of the world, or travel about purging anything unclean and impure. Rogue Angels, the ones that are fighting to preserve the human race, are acceptable, but must understand that some of your powers are stripped. You are not as powerful as your human killing counterparts, please accept that. Dragon-humans, as long as they are strictly humanoid, are acceptable. These characters should have affinities for magics, as well as several resistances. Angels can die. I will not say how due to the possibility of someone godmodding or claiming they know, but it is possible to be killed by a human. It is only extremely difficult due to the fact Angels specialize in long distance fighting.

Demons/Demon Lords - No demon can be too powerful as none of them originate from Earth itself. Demons are strictly dimensional beings capable of 'hopping dimensions', so to speak, into the current realm. Lesser demons will usually bear a master, this being a demon lord. Demon lords will be devastating in power, but their existence on Earth should be strained unless feeding off the life of their followers or a host of sorts. However, because this role-play lacks players, no Demon Lords will be available. Demons are playable. If you wish to go rogue and preserve the human race, you pretty much stay the same. Demons can indeed die by an Angel's hand as well as a humans. Be warned, Demons are trained more in close combat then distanced, but they do know a few fire spells.

Humans - You are the most fragile and weak species, susceptible to death, easily bruised and wounded, daily meals and sleep are needed and water is a necessity. If your supplies are cut off or you run out you can easily perish. Your weapons are whatever you can find and your shelter is whatever you make. You cannot control magic and you cannot run incredibly fast. Just because the world ended doesn't mean you suddenly became experienced and in shape. You can die in so many ways it's almost funny. Unbeknownst to you, however, you are a food source for multiple species, you are your own leverage, your own bargaining chip, your own ace in the hole. But bargain wisely, the creatures you are dealing with are dangerous. Humans under twenty and possibly eighteen are not allowed.

Vampires - You don't sparkle, thank god. However your meal ticket is now an endangered species, and with the lack of food for them to eat, their numbers are dwindling. Animals are always an option, but in this dying world, they are hardly filling let alone easy to find. They know you are different and stay away from you. If you are a stronger vampire, the windy, dust covered sky is easy for you to walk out into, but shade is a necessity. Even if the sun is blotched out, after a certain amount of time you will start to burn. Weaker vampires stick to the darkest places during the day and roam the night, though they do not own it. All vampires have no reflections, your regeneration abilities depend on the last time you drank, and you must have a meal at least once a week. Without them, you are dead. Children vampires are not allowed.

Werewolves - Still editing.

Most other creatures should be easy to keep tame. Please, please talk to me about something you're unsure of.

• Almost everything is accepted. There are numerous sites you can pawn something off of, like the Forgotten Realms wiki. Really, its a wonderful source for races!

Vellos Helaris

User Image Vellos slowly trudged his way through the shadows of a back alleyway, sniffing the air as he did so. Something felt odd in the air, he knew it... but what? He lowered himself slowly to a crouched position, still slowly advancing. Catching him off guard would be a hard thing to do at this moment, to pull it off, something spectatular would have to be done. Vellos jerked his head up as he caught the scent again, so unusual, he'd never smelt anything remotely like it, he couldn't even think what it could be. New scents always increased how tense he was, causing him to draw his blade. To someone looking into the shadows, all they'd see were a pair of glowing yellow eyes, acompanied by the shimmer of a sword. Vellos allowed himself a small smile, revealing a row of razor-sharp fangs, which he added to his shadowy appearance.

User Image »╳ Annandale ╳«

Pale blue eyes focused on the inside oh a building, the roof long since gone and the glass dusty and dull due to being weathered. she just stood there, the dirt filled breeze ineffective to the cold dead skin, the sun once again clouded with dust clouds, debris, pollution from the waves. In the ally next to the building she heard the slightest of shuffles before they silenced again. Someone was planning a sneak attack? No doubt the stranger was an enemy, and the enemy smelled of dog. The female entered the building, moving aside large pieces of rubble with ease before looking at the now antique jewelry. Filthy rubies, speckled sapphire, chipped amethyst, a brooch caught her eye, the faintest hint of rainbow on white. A pearl? Wiping it against her leggings a pale hand held it up to the yellowed light, it was indeed a pearl.

A small sound of metal sliding against something, a sword? Dagger? Knife? She stood, staring at the wall where the noises were coming from and waited. Dogs did not move in such a manner nor made such noises, Annandale's mind reeled with the possibilities, limited herself to lycans, werewolves or wendigos. Or a hybrid, those were always fun to experience. Gently she pulled the scissors from their holder and let them hang by two fingers in the two handles. An enemy or a friend, there was never an in between, allies always turned against you in the end, as shown by any and all wars.

Azrael

Azrael walked the empty streets of a once great city. At least the humans thought it was great. He couldn't understand why the humans were fighting so hard to save such a retched place. God had once given these creatures such a lovely place to live and the humans turned around and destroyed it with their machines and skyscrapers.

Azrael pulled an apple out of his bag and begin munching on it. The only thing on this planet he would miss after the purge was finally over. The apple was the only thing that smelled sweet in the air he was breathing. Nothing filled the air, but death and ashes. This was something that he knew all to well. He was not new to the purge; although the humans thoughtless courage pissed him off. Their was no chance in hell they would win, but yet they still fought on. Azrael would never understand this.

As he continued to walk down this baron street. His attention turned to an old roof less glass building. He heard scratching and shuffling inside and what sounded like the unsheathing of a sword. It didn't sound human; which to any other angel would have probably caused the angle to keep walking, we are here to kill humans; no one else. This is the attitude of so many of Azrael's brothers and sisters. Even though some of these creatures have thrown their locks in with the humans. I guess they didn't want to loose an easy meal to the Angles. Azrael felt that these abomination deserved nothing less then death and while he was down here. He intended on giving it to them.

He drew his sword as he approached the building were the noise was coming from. As he entered he spoke into the room.

"Whatever you are, I'm not in the mood to play hide and seek. How many ever of you abominations their are in this room, come out and face me."

Azrael held his sword in the ready, and scanned the area for any movement. He caught a glimmer of a precious stone out the corner of his eye. A pearl maybe, he was unsure. Is that what this stranger was here for?

Vellos Helaris

User Image Vellos let out a small chuckle "Whatever I am? I would as the exact same question to you." He stood up to his full height, slowly padding out of the shadows that concealed him from the world. Sniffing again, he nearly unleashed a feral howl. Vampire... he thought. Lycans and Vampires never got on well, and he knew it would end in a fight. Lowering himself into a crouch, he raised his sword in a diagonal block just over his head, prepared to either strike or defend. "What are you... you smell unusual, it's anoying. However, one scent I could never misinterpret: a vampiric scent. Are you in league with them? Answer or prepare to have your life forfeit!" He finished with a low growl, baring his fangs.

Annandale paused her analyzing to turn to the blonde man with wings, mind registering him as an angel. An abomination? Herself, perhaps, but she had survived much longer than many others of her kind. "I apologize, Came the soft voice as she moved forward, staring placidly at him, dusty blue eyes traveling toward the metal in his hand. Was he a threat? "For playing hide and seek when you are not willing. However there is another player." Such beautiful wings, it was understandable why the human race, how she, so long ago, thought that they were protected by such statuesque, such beautiful beings. She could see no blemishes, no scars, scratches, bruises, hardly even a wrinkle on such peach toned skin. Truly a remarkable creature, Angels. It was a shame his choice of attire ruined his nearly holy look.

Her attention split, a furry, humanoid beast removing himself from the shadows of the wall. Had he not been outside but a moment ago? She saw the wet nose twitch in her direction before he gave an ungodly, and quite uncalled for, howl. He was a lycan, only his kind hated hers, not that she understood why. Perhaps it was because in the end, vampires could pretend to be human while lycans were only humans in their dreams. Their hatred for vampires only caused the vampires to hate their ignorance, were they not aware of this? Annandale hated them for their ignorance, she meant no harm, and she did not hate them. Eyelids closed slowly, the woman remaining still as the furry beast seemed to snarl at her, attacking her with words, threatening her. He was cocky, young, misinformed like so many others of his generation. She opened her eyes, locking hers with the golden ones before speaking softly.
"To make such assumptions, lycan, is rather obtuse of you, do you not think so? I am merely here looking for this." Her head cocked slightly, platinum locks falling gently over her shoulder. "You are still have your puppy teeth, Lycan. It would be presumptuous of me to fight a child. Your blade reeks of blood, no doubt blinded by overwhelming feeling which tainted it."

Sarah
User Image
“And I’m lost.” That wasn’t surprising at all. Of course if she wandered off in a moment of self-pity in a place she knew nothing about she was going to get lost. Sarah couldn’t care less though. There was no way she was going back to the house she’d been staying at for the week. Abandoned it may have been, but there were still signs of what it had once been before all this had come about. It had belonged to a family, much like hers. She’d spotted a picture on a dresser and couldn’t tear her eyes away. Before she knew it, she’d been running out of there, tears falling down her face. Ugh… how unlike her. If the old lady could see her know, she’d surely slap some sense into her. Honestly, crying over something so… useless.

Shaking her head, she looked around, trying to find anything that looked familiar. She needed to find a place to rest. For the past few days she’d been constantly on the move, and at this point, she just wanted to get some sleep before continuing on her merry way. So far, the only place she’d found that was suitable was that abandoned house, but she really didn’t want to go back there at the moment. Not that she could, since she had no idea what direction it was in anyways. Sighing in frustration, she decided to keep heading forward.

Hearing muffled sounds, she ducked behind a large free standing wall. What might that be? A snarl… someone didn’t sound too happy. Must be a Lycan… And obviously someone else, maybe more than one someone. After all, they didn't snarl at nothing right? Well that settled it. She wasn’t going that way. Slumping against the wall, she decided to rest there for a while. If worst came to worst, she could always find a hiding place.

Saylen Teranus
Sniffing again, he nearly unleashed a feral howl.
Just so you realise xD

IC:
Vellos Helaris

User Image Vellos' head snapped sharply towards the newcomer, and now he realised, the vampire he smelt. "Very well then. I'll trust you're actually someone of their word." He released a small chuckle mixed in with a sigh. "Too few are in this age." Cautiously, Vellos slowly slid the blade back into it's sheath, yet keeping his hand on the pommel, he asked: "Anyone care to explain what he is, or what's happening to this world? I think I missed the memo or something." before starting to pick at the link connecting his sheath to the iron chain around his waist.
