The Eleventh Month. That which fills our hearts with dread and excitement. Anticipation fills the cores of our beings and our minds run wild like overflowing pools of inspiration in a rain storm of chaos. Will we prosper or will we find ourselves defeated by the daunting enemy we know only as Time.
NaNoWriMo approaches and I only have a basic outline of an idea <<

It doesn't help that I set a personal goal to reach 60k words this year sweatdrop But I like my concept so maybe passion will push me through with partial BSing? haha

The way I see it, it's all about lowering your standards the first time around. Just word barf. I need to learn this myself, and then maybe I could do something like 60k. But I'll be happy with breaking 50k this year since I'm missing my primary cheerleader from last time.

I'm determined to improve on all aspects this year. Quantity and Quality..... But I know if I set my standards too high, I'll just fall.
Who was your cheerleader, if I may so inquire?

I think I'm gonna shoot for quantity above all else. I'll fix it in post, as they say. razz
And that would be my quasi-local BFF, who hates phones, and has been without internet access for several months now. We were both doing NaNo last year so we'd get online and whine / talk each other up almost every day. I'll be lucky to talk to her once a week this time.

Ouch. I'm always willing to be ranted to for what it's worth and I'll definitely be on every day once NaNo starts.

That's kind of you. I may take you up on it.
I will be on frequently, as well, and-- this is directed to everyone-- I am always, always available for rantage, writing-related or otherwise, provided you don't mind towering wall-of-text replies. :D I usually can't beta stuff, but sometimes it's nice just to talk shop.

Equally kind of you. I may also take you up on it.
I'm torn between pursuing the idea with little outline that I love, or the story I started 1 chapter in a few months ago that has a basic outline and plot and characters. Hmmmm.....
