There's werewolves and hunters all over the main halloween thread and there's no way that the Annual Ball committee is going to take it laying down, is there!
The teams are already formed - wolves vs humans - so let's take it to the next level with our OWN battle royale! Annual ball vs Annual ball, Hosts vs Co-hosts, Crew vs Captains! The thread is in the main event thread here! THE place to post, chat, pounce, tackle, and love each other while spreading the furry love to one another (or curing it!)
AND, as added entertainment, we can construct a betting pool!
Once we have people posting we'll compile a list of known wolves and known humans and we can make bets on who will win! Betting will be done on an individual basis or, if you're really into it, for larger stakes. All bets have to be made in the thread so we can keep track of them.

Exert from survivor's diary:
Why can't we ever have a nice, friendly halloween? I should have stayed inside, locked my doors, turned on the t.v. and ignored the trick or treats, but no.... I just HAD to be curious. Now I'm stuck between running for my life and this crazy, indescribable, urge to just BITE something.
I've heard rumours about these "safe havens" that pop up here and there, but I think most of them are traps. Sure, a few of them might be safe, but that's only if there's people willing to defend it. Who's defending anything anymore? Half the people here are bat-sh** crazy and the other half are howling at the moon!
I was doing pretty fine not too long ago, but someone asked me what was going on and as soon as I opened my mouth they were all over me! I barely made it to my home base in time to call out for healing, but even then I was k.o.'d before I knew what hit me. Thank gods for whatever being is behind the resurrecting around here because, I sweat, if I didn't have a 15 minute grace period after being knocked around I would never spend more than two seconds on my feet.
Maybe I should stick around home and just heal people. It seems to be safer... but even then the only way to get my energy back is to venture out into the chaos and just hope that the next safe haven I try to recuperate in is really safe and not a pit trap in disguise....
All I ever wanted was some sense of achievement!

Linked above are the main forum, the main page, and a how to play.
A quick run down for people who are too lazy to check links:
arrow You join the event either as a human or through an invite, in which case you are whatever your friend invited you as. As a human you fight wolves and vice versa.
Wolves can infect humans, but not until they're a high enough level. Humans can cure werewolves, but not until they are a high enough level. In the mean time you are expected to tackle, bite, maul, claw, jab, poke, prod, etc. the enemy team players. You do this in the MAIN event forum to anyone who is not dead or protected.
Obviously if they're dead you can't kill them again. If someone's protected it means they have just died, but are in the process of healing themselves or being healed. They have a 15 minute time window during which they can't be attacked unless they break it by attacking someone else.
To be healed you head to your main base which is a sub forum for you only. It will be at the top just like if you were in the main Gaia forums (which you are, just with a fancier background.) Post anywhere asking for healing, but even if no one is around to heal you you will still recuperate by 10 hit points per post. To heal someone else you must be the appropriate level (see below) and in your home base subforum. The option to heal them will be visible once you have the ability and once they're in need.
Out of energy? Then head back to the main thread where you were attacking people. Yep, in order to get energy back you have to be posting in the same area people can knock you around so that means no ninja attacks like in pie hard. Once you post you are, technically, fair game to anyone HOWEVER there are "safe" threads where people expect to be able to recuperate peacefully. Not many of them work, but some of them do. (WOW people respecting rules on GAIA of all places!)
Once you hit enough people hard enough you'll level up and gain abilities, just like the Halloween event with humans vs vampires. You won't get to pick all the abilities, apparently, so choose the ones you want. Healing ability doesn't come around until level 7 or so, but there are others that specialize in doing damage to health or to energy, or to restoring energy!
That is pretty much the sum of it -- now get out there and enjoy!
