I never knew I had it in me to play a leadership role for large crowds of people at once, but after Jack, Epic Landshark, and Spirit Vase all started popping up I've learned I can be quite capable when needed xd
These are fearsome foes, but there are ways to beat them:
Halloween Jack: Tends to surround himself with powerful Animated (most of the time Night Frights) to strengthen himself, much the same as Queen Lorelei and Grunny Sub-Commander do in Shallow Seas. Defeating the Frights FIRST is a top priority, one should always have fully-buffed Meat, and a full Rage Bar to buff the Turtle Ring for added defense. Planning ahead with your Crewmates is vital, and Fire Rain is your best friend. Once all the Frights (and any Pumpkin Fluffs nearby as well) are dead, then wail on Jack with your best attacks, hit-and-run style as he can still pack a whallop even by himself. All are susceptible to Scaredy Cat
Epic Landshark: Something to note, always more than one, and their HP can regenerate. Fire Rain and many other close-range Rings are useless against these as their bite can strike a large radius and deal heavy damage to anyone who wanders too close. Using full-Rage Turtle as extra defensive measures, at least one member of a crew should be the designated Healer with two long-range Attack Rings (Hot Foot and Knife Sharpen work quite well, one for recurring damage and the other to Blind the foe), those not Healing should carry Hot Foot, Knife Sharpen, and Hornet's Nest, with their assigned Buffs/etc. The key is to lure one away from the group, deal with it steadily (while maintaining a safe distance from it always), and finally destroy it and move on to rinse/repeat against the next until all are dead. My Density and Iron Will help well too, as E-LS can hit with Knockback and cast Fear at times. Unclear what Debuff Rings work against them, Blind and Knockback are your best friends however.
Spirit Vase: CL 20.0, 193k HP, and it takes only 1 damage per hit from any Attack Ring regardless of Rage, and regardless of Rage on defensive buffs and Turtle, it can one-hit Daze a large number of people with a single spin. Like with Landsharks, close-range is useless, long-range like Hot Foot work well against it. It is also immune to debuffs aside from Blind and nega-willpower. The trick to beating it is luring it to a spot where it gets stuck easily, thus it cannot attack or move and you're free to wail on it at your leisure, provided you don't use Dervish, Bump, Hack, or Shark Attack against it. The only other strategy besides that is to play keepaway and continuously hit-and-run.
Hope that helps anyone going after these brutal beasts, good luck and happy hunting to all wink
