Resting within the docks of New Port Town is the original Hook's Jolly Roger.
It's wood has become water logged, the men on it lazier over time. It sets old, battered and failing. Waiting for the day it may be placed back in faithful service once again.
Staff: Captain- James Hook First Mate- Maddilyn Grace quartermaster-

Schmee would fill the glass again, pouring wine in another, less ornate cup and swigging it himself before walking back into the extravagant room. Sitting in a massive chair, leaning to one side, his blue eyes resting on a golden shortsword on the wall, sat Hook. He seemed blank as he stares at the sword of Pan, the blade that cut off his hand, the blade that fought him for so long...and now, was it to sit upon the wall as hook sat upon the chair, forever, collecting dust with no use in sight...hook felt a kinship with the blade, truly. His cold eyes shift to Schmee after a moment, and he reaches a hand out to take the glass, swishing the Liquid around a bit as he looks down into it, before taking a sip, humming to himself a bit. "Schmee, i wish to view the records and reports for today....go fetch...whatever her name is...tell her to bring them to me...she is in charge of that right?" he looks up at the pugly little man, as if asking why he was still standing there...the look sent Schmee skittering away.

Ye can have me booty but leave me chest alone!
Half ignoring the annoying little twit Maddilyn gathered the book work and papers the captain ordered and with unnecessary ease brought them to rest at Hooks desk.
What he was looking for this time, it was a mystery to the girl. James Hook had become quite a bit less then his prime since the downfall of pan and the overthrow of the entire island of Neverland. You'd think a tyrant would find happiness, not boredom.
"Sir. I've the records you requested. Is there any thing else I might be able to help you with?" She drawled, half bored half irritated for being disturbed yet again over nothing.
Maddilyn knew the records where in order. She was good with the organization and the pain staking details the captain expected in his book work. Schmee lumbered to a close chair and more so flopped into the wooden chair instead of taking a seat. It made her blind with fury to see one so ignorant and uncivilized taking so much joy in just running small errands for the captain, when as a women she had to work herself to blood and bones to prove her worth on this ship.

Hook would look over the papers, stopping on one...."the men who have gone missing in Neverwood....they have mot return?" he more asks himself then her. He looks back up at the sword on the wall, then down to the papers. "they are dead...." he tosses the paper away. He then looks back to the forms, tilting his head a bit. "oh my this is interesting......." he hands her one of the forms, a form showing a gross increase in pay to one of the crew....a crew member that was dead. "Schmee, you have gotten lazy.....you usually handle the paper work....were you just hoping she would forget this Schmee?" The second in command would begin to stutter but the captain raises his hook, slolwy turning his eyes to the pirate. "Schmee....dont bother with excuses....i find them rather borish nowadays." he sighs. "you know, i think it is time for a change...things need to be different maybe....me and you Schmee, we hunted pan together, you helped me catch, and kill him." Schmee nods, as if finding a life line. "thats right capt, without me we would have never got the little b*****d!" A loud crack fills the room, Schmee falling dead, a smoking pistol in hooks hand. "yes Schmee, you did."

Nodding Maddilyn leaned over the table to glance at the paper held by Hook only to move from his way as the pistol was produced from it's hidden belt. She watched the events unfolding with a smug smile. The twit had dared to take the gold, rightfully belonging to Hook. It would fall out the same no matter how well Schmee tried to hide it.
Gathering the paperwork a little closer she started looking over records that was given to her by said twit. In all account four other documents where falsified along with two papers on "missing" persons who wanted pay increase.
To her surprise there was even more documents listing numbers of the crew now missing after missions into Neverwood. "Sir, if I may suggest..." She began as she waited for any sign from the captain to stop talking. "It seems we are loosing too many good men to the barbarian lost boys. It would be wise to tare their little tribes apart instead of allowing them to do the same to us. They lack in numbers and training, it would be a quick sweep."
Her nimble fingers began laying the paperwork in a neat row allowing him to see the full extent of the men being lost.

Hook would look at her as she speaks, before looking back down to the paper work. "sharp eye...first mate Maddilyn" he stands from his chair, walking to his dresser and grabbing a ribbon, tying his hair back. "fetch me my coat and hat." He waits for her to grab his items before slipping his coat on, and resting his hat on his head. He walks to the door, obviously expecting her to follow. He steps out onto the deck of his ship, and down the planks to his port, walking to the square and hitting his hook on the gong. "It would seem, our old, departed friend Schmee, was stealing from me, and thus, stealing from the town....yada yada" he waves his hook a bit. "someone go get the body from my quarters and throw him overboard. My new first mate is Maddilyn, any objections?" A pirate raises his hand. "ah yes, please speak up." The man looks around nervously. "well, capt....aint she a woman?" He would chuckle a bit, reaching over and drawing Maddie's pistol from her belt, he shoots the man in the chest. "anyone else wish to argue sexism with me? I ever do so love debates."

Maddilyn hid the surprise well on her face as events unfolded. Gathering up the paper work as Hook tied back his hair, she had already had things organized and together before he asked for his coat and hat. With the later carefully placed under her arm she held up his coat for him to easily slip into before handing him his hat and wordlessly following him out the door of his chamber and down to the docks.
She soundlessly took her place next to the captain as he made his announcement and preceded to shoot the man who decided to complain with her own pistol. It was a simple lesson that reminded all who watched. You just don't ******** with Hook. Gently taking her flint lock back she placed it back into it's place on her belt hanging from her hip.
Once formalities where taken care of and the crowd began to disperse Maddilyn then turned to her captain with a questionable glance. "Sir, shall I start organizing raiding parties to begin scoutting out the nearest tribes? There are many women and children in Port Town who are loyal to you and can gather information better then the men in your employee, without raising suspension." Following him back to the ship she waited for his answer to take any action. "Also, there is the need to hire and train new recruites to replace the once Schmee knowingly sent to their deaths."

Hook would nod his head..."scout it....i'll not send the men in blind, and schmee would not have either if he had any sense." He growls a bit, turning to face her..."now, you must also understand...failure is met by my falure to control my temper, you may be a woman, but i have the full intention of bestowing equal treatment here...if you fail, or betray me, i will kill you just as fast as i killed Schmee, you understand?" He only gives her a moment. "good...now fetch my sparring partner, it is time for my workout." Hook always sparred with three men every day, he had actually upped his swordplay sense the defeat of pan, as if preparing for his next big rival.

With a quick nod Maddilyn respectfully answered Hook with a firm "Sir!" Before turning and running off to fetch the three James always spared with. Before finding her way down to Port Town.
There was multiple people who owed her favors, free work was always invaluable. These would be the first to be sent, next came close friends, the few she knew she could trust beyond all doubt.
After using the two original parties she would weed through others by word of mouth without letting out her intentions. Hand written posters where also hun in taverns and docks all about town advertising for the Jolly Roger's need of fresh men. It was hard work, but she met it with a quick and cunning grin.
Once night crept over the shore and into the trees she found her labor well worth the work. Heading back to the ship she sported two full mugs of top grade ale. One for herself another for her captain. It would be a good sign of trust for her as she gave him the full report on the daily doings.

The men were on the floor, all three of them, hook standing over them unharmed. They were the three best fighters the jolly rodger had to offer, and went full out against their captain...to do otherwise would cause him to anger.....yet he still smeared them. He had gotten better sense pan died, spending most of his free time either drinking, of practicing swordplay. He tosses the blade down, glaring at the men. "pathetic..." he motions for them to leave, his eyes falling on his new first mate. "sip from that glass.." he points to a mug, waiting for her to drink some before taking it to drink himself, without another word. He walks to the fire place, his eyes locked onto Pan's sword....a sword that the lost boys...well men now, would kill to get again. He reaches up and touches the blade with his hook, turning to face her. "we are going into the lost wood."

Maddilyn briskly walked aboard the ship sitting the two mugs down at the captains order. She well understood why he asked her to try it out first. There was always the chance that someone would try to grow a pair and poison hook. This would just be another duty she would have to take up. Swirling the liquid in the mug she took a quick sniff. It smelled of warm honey. Mead. The sip was also warm and brought a head down her throat. It was excilent quality, but poisoned, no. After handing the glass back she waited until he was finished with his glass, took one sip from the one she brought for him to show good faith before handing it to him.
A small smile lifted the corner of her mouth as he announced their new mission. Raising her own mug in a salute she agreed with him "Aye sir, Lostwoods will be yours for the taking."
The two mugs clinked in salute. Sitting down at the small chair across from his cushioned captains chair she decided to give him the good news. "Sir, tonight there will be a total of six who will go to the nearest encampment, they will bring trade goods and bring back information. By tomorrow afternoon we will be ready for our attack. The time for this will be on your word sir."

"we leave in two days then...one day to get the information we need, another to prep the men...i will suffer no mistakes this time, nor will i suffer second hand accounts...i go this time...it is time i saw to the troubles in lost wood myself." He looks to the window, gazing out over Neverland. "It is time for a change Maddie.....time for a new war....new bloodshed....my men grow fat, and my mind grows weary...this same humdrum, day after day, thinking on the past, drowning myself in drink while my ship rots around me....i used to be a pirate..simple, easy, but now i am so much more, i am a conqueror! i will take this blasted land for my own and then move on to take the next and the next." He looks back at her, a burning fire in his pale blue eyes..."two days Maddie...two days and we will taste lost blood again."

Maddilyn found herself sitting straighter in her chair as James' words washed over her, igniting her own flame. "Aye Sir!" She repeated. "There will also be new recruits coming in the morning to try out for your elite men. The crew dwindles. It will fill our numbers again. Not much we can do about training other then on the fly as we go. Yet still victory will be ours."

Hook would nod his head...."it is time for me to go into town....im sick of this...just sitting here, waiting to die..." he stands up, grabbing his cloak. "come." He walks out, squinting at the light as he leaves the Rodger, everyone looking at him with curious blinks, hardly ever seeing him leave the ship. he would not even look at them as he moves, walking into the home he had built in town, heading for his room. He stops once inside, beginning to peel his jacket and shirt off..."open that door..." he points to a cabinet, and when she opens it, she would see the most finely crafted armor one ever laid eyes on...a deep rusted red and black, the plates fitted tightly together, overlapping so one could move perfectly in it...light and lithe, not bulky. "had that made when i realized that we would be fighting on solid ground more.....light enough to move in, but protective enough to stop its share of blows..." he chuckles.

Morgan Kane Morgan sighed sitting next to a barrel full of water on the docks next to the Jolly Rodger. She had only seen hook once or twice and was waiting for the right moment to ask him to be one of his crew. She would watch the way his men fought and thought they were lazy. Even his "Best swords man" as he called them. She could do so much better than them and she knew it. She would be able to keep hook on his toes, because those boys couldent even come anywhere near close to him. A damned shame really. A waste of good men. They had become lazy after the death of peter seeing no real reason to keep training. Most were getting fat and could barely keep up in a little swords play. She growled slightly, thats it she was demanding to come onto that ship so she could whip those boys into shape. ((O.O.C.:if you want to see her please go to her profile, as much as i re-size photo bucket just wont listen to me.))
