Now I'm not entirely sure what this anime is about, but I heard it was kind of heartbreaking. But also very good.

If you say so, but I'm sure they're just fine.
I don't think I can look for any more AMV's until I watch the series. xD

I don't think I can look for any more AMV's until I watch the series. xD True, you must watch the anime, though I will tell you that it's a tearjerker. I bawled my eyes out through the afterstory more than Clannad, but Clannad has the base of the story through it. Also pay attention to the folk tale, legend of the town, or whatever is because that's how the ending makes sense. Also if you still don't get it, I will explain it to you, because I had to look up the reason why the ending happened the way it did.

I hate tearjerker animes! gonk But it's also apparently very good...so I will attempt to get through it. (Ah, who am I kidding? I watched certain episodes of Negima over and over and cried every time.) Cool, thanks. I'm sure to need the explanation when I'm done. ;D

Lol happy ending? There was no happy ending. There was simply an alternate ending. That being said, I honestly didn't care for the anime that much... Yes, stone me now. Some of the episodes seemed to drag on with little progression of the story, and certain "arcs" that lasted six episodes could have been done in one or two (I'm thinking the starfish girl arc). I'm also a bit biased. Normally I get attached to the anime that I watch, but it never seemed to happen with this anime. No idea why, but I couldn't identify with any of the characters. I think it's a culture problem more than anything, since I kept thinking, "Oh god, why doesn't he just go to college? Wtf?" even though I know he couldn't because of the tough entrance exams in Japan. The only redeeming trait to the series was that the little girl at the end was the single most adorable character of any anime I've ever watched. It was an okay series, and I can see why other people would like it. It just wasn't for me.

Yeah I can understand where you're coming from, I just like the reality of the story, though the ending would never happen in reality. Though the afterstory is way better than the first Clannad, but that's because it's only Tomoya and Nagisa and partially everyone else. Though there are like three endings, the one with Fuko, the one where Tomoya's talking to Ushio about everything before Nagisa and Ushio came back and the video is going over the series of events, and the third is the one where Ushio was born and Nagisa and Tomoya started sing Dango Daikazoku and they start talking about the good things about their city, and my favorite song plays in the background. That song is The Palm Of A Tiny Hand and I'm not sure who it's by but you can look it up by it's english name smile

There are other songs too, though they are not as big as the Dango Daikazoku. My favorite is "The Palm Of A Tiny Hand."
