Here's how it's going to work feeders:
There are going to be several rounds leading up to the final contest for the grand prize rounds. Each round will be assigned a level (Example: Round 1 could be a level 1 challenge, or a level 3 challenge, 3 being a difficult challenge with more speed bumps/random events than level 1). There will be Speed Bumps and Random Events (these will change the course of the contest)! There may be more than one contest running at a time.
Effective May 19th, 2012 - Once you have won a contest, you may not compete again. Period. If you do choose to compete, your entries will not be voted on.
Effective May 23rd, 2012 - Crew members may not compete in the contests. I'm sorry, but because we plan the contests to be held, it is considered an unfair advantage for us to compete. If you do choose to compete, your entries will not be voted on

Prizes will be awarded after the winner is declared.

The Grand Prizes will be awarded on a first pick basis.
tabtab 1st place will pick their prize first, then 2nd place second, 3rd place will pick next, etc.
tabtab The Grand Prizes are: SD+ Louie, SD+ Stein, SD+ GRS Agent Ivan, and Friday XIII.

The TekTek Rules:
1. You may submit only the stated number (and/or gender) of avatars allowed!
2. You must submit your entry by the stated entry cut-off.
tabtabBecause Speed Bumps and Random Events change the original themes, price limitations, and or item/requirements of the contest, any late entries past this point will not be accepted.
3. You must abide by the theme, price limitation, and/or item requirements of the contest.
tabtabFailure to abide by these requirements will result in your entry being disqualified and you will be out of that contest.
4. When/if a Speed Bump or Random Event occurs, you must abide by the terms these present within the set amount of time given.


The Art Rules:
1. Keep it classy and within TOS.
2. Follow the theme/subject asked for.

The Literature Rules:
1. You must abide by the word limitations, prompt, and rhyme pattern if in a poetry contest.

The Scavenger Hunt Rules (For lower level challenges):
1. You must use the approved search engines.
2. You MUST ONLY use the given search terms.
tabtabFailure to do so will result in your entry being disqualified.
3. In your post to the contest thread, you must:
tabtaba. Post the picture to the contest thread.
tabtabb. Link us back to the website you found the picture on.
tabtabc. State which search engine you used.
tabtabd. State which search terms you used.

The Scavenger Hunt Rules (For higher level challenges):
1. "Post Stalking" to find the treasure is NOT allowed.
tabtabIf you are discovered to be post stalking, you WILL be disqualified.
2. Post that you have found the treasure in the contest thread (here in the guild).
3. When posting, you MUST:
tabtaba. First provide the LINK to the thread you found the treasure in.
tabtabb. Quote the treasure.
4. Failure to follow both a and b of rule 3 may result in the loss of a contest.
tabtab For instance, if you post only the link to the treasure, but the person after you posts the link AND quotes the treasure, you will lose.

The Bump Contest:
1. All bumps must be numbered.
2. All bumps must be posted within the bump thread.
3. All bump images (if used) must be at or under a PG-13 rating

The Secret Word Game:
1. First person to guess the word wins.
2. Guesses must be posted within the contest thread for the Secret Word Game.

The Clever Abbreviation Game:
1. All definitions for your abbreviation must be at or under a PG-13 rating.
2. You may post three (3) abbreviation definitions.
tabtabThey do not all have to be in the same post.
3. Posted definitions are FINAL.
tabtab You may NOT go back and edit your definitions for any reason at all (other than to correct a typo or misspelled word. You may not change a word).
tabtabIf you are caught editing a post for any other reason than correcting a typo, you will be disqualified.
4. If you do edit a post to fix a typo, you must state what you fixed.
