My original race has a school, and I spend a s**t ton of time putting it together down to the last detail and then my friends that I was doing it with got busy and stopped.
Would anyone like to make a Mage character (or turn one of your characters into a Mage) and do this thing with me? I kind of don't want all this to go to waste.

Simon would like this. She is half Elf, half Human and an absolute failure of a mage. Except when blind luck hits and it actually works.
She can be Human only, if need be. Though all my art of her has the pointy Elf ears. But the pixel one i have the ears are kinda hidden so it might work.

That's what I love about my race, ALL universes exist, and we draw from each one, so we have all sorts of different races and stuff. Hell, the science teacher is a dragon. xD Well, she would need a reason that the Mages would choose her to join their ranks, and I hate to say, if she's sort of a fail-mage, there's not a high chance she'd get picked. sweatdrop Anyway, I'll get back to you on this tomorrow lol, cause I should've gone to bed hours ago. xD

Sure, as long as she's got the potential to be, well, I guess a good magic user, average, whatever. xD As long as she's got the potential to be useful, she's in.
lol, sorry, after s**t hit the fan on FB, I had to write a vent journal, lol. Maybe bed in just a few maybe.

I haven't played her much, she is very new. So baisically she is a blank slate ready to be written.

What's her element? Is she more of a fighter, a magic user, or a healer?

I'd say less fighter, because OOC wise I fail at any kind of non RnG/dice based fighting. I make a horrid healer in MMORPGs but I think I could work healing in an RP. Possibly defensive magic too. With a side of teaching me to RP battle?
Hmm. Maybe I should add a battle subforum. For real and practice battles.

Pick one for her. xD It's kind of important, lol. Go take her an element test or something if you can't decide. Though most of them are just earth/air/fire/water, so you wouldn't get to have an ice option.
There won't be actual BATTLE battles, it just decides what kind of classes she'd be taking. You can go ahead and check out the classes I have up, see if any of those match her more than others. Though I could teach you to RP battle too if you wanted some of that for her. It is suggested in their schooling, though still optional.
I hate RNG battles anyway, I like RPing out my battles, but I guess it's hard when you have a douche that's constantly like I DODGE THAT. It's no fun if you don't RP your char to get hit. xD
oh s**t do i have a defensive magic class i dunno i might have had that in the general magics class yeah i think i did.

Ahh that's good. I don't mind RnG battles, there's 2 b/c shops I'm in that use them. I've had a few rp battles in chat rooms. Very fast paced and post caps. Not fun. I'd like to learn, though. I remember someone telling me there was a certain style that was very descriptive. I think that's what turned me off, back then I was more like 2-3 sentences per post. Which is fine in a chat where you make, like, 3 posts in just as many minutes.
Constant dodgers are annoying, but those who auto hit are the worst.

I'm in just one that does RNG battles, I just don't like them cause the RNG is like YOU GET A ONE
YOUR OPPONENT GETS A ONE
YOU GET A TWO
YOUR OPPONENT GETS A TWO
And it's so irritating. xD

Ichitoko at Checkmate does RnG battles pretty fun. At least the last time I battled. Which was freaking ages ago and Ichi modified the rules/stats and added humonculi[sp] that can also help.
ROCKET! RnGs battle too, everyone rolls 20 to 30 and 20 is a miss, 30 does 60 dmg and each bot class (common, uncommon, rare, etc) has XXX HP (something like 200 for common, 205 for uncommon, 210 for rare) and each type (Firefox, Q-bit and so on) has an ability, like doing more damage or healing or shield. Abilities are one use per battle.
