"After looking back on this subject for a while, I can just begin to grasp what it might have felt like. You might have been lost or felt insecure and I'm sorry I didn't understand that side of the coin. But what I know is that it caused a ripple of sadness within our group. It disturbed the tight system we all had inside us. Even I, a child, understood that. And I sat for a good long time, hoping and praying that you all could feel connected again. I just wanted you all to know that..."
For many, the closing of the labs was hard to swallow. Some cried, some blew up it rage and well, some of them weren't alert enough to process the information, depending on what demonic parent you came from. It was a confusing time as the event seemed out of the blue and inexplicable. But, as with most mysteries, people moved on.
Lydia was only a child when the labs closed and had minimal interaction with the people who worked there. She hadn't been able to form an opinion on the matter and thus, was one of the first spawn to treat the event as something that was unnecessary to clamor about.
She was very excited when Gavin took her back to live with Allen when she was a preteen. There she went to school, made friends and found a passion for helping others. From soup kitchens to clean up duty at an event hall, Lydia could and would help you with your work. However, she knew when she was being taken advantage of, she learned how to figure out that weaselly trick from her super special awesome "Auntie Creea."
Time went on and in the blink of a eye, Lydia was a bright minded and big hearted young adult. Life was great. She worked in a Japanese restaurant as a waitress, she lived in an apartment by the marina, and she had found her true love.
He was an older man, but by one year. His name was Calder Sanderson and he enjoyed comedy shows, learning new languages and playing the banjo. He also liked playing sports and hiking, even running for no reason was a grand time for him.
They met in a hospital waiting room. Lydia had been working for a summer camp and watched over a young group of boys. Although the boys proved tiring, she managed to discipline them and usually had no issues. However, a particular set of twins always managed to cause some form of trouble.
Long story short, one had been bitten by a venomous snake while playing hide n' seek with the other. Lydia, knowing have venomous the snake could be, called an ambulance. Calder worked close by and raced to the hospital, relieved to be greeted by not only good news but by the sweet woman who had made the news possible.
Now, after growing up, living life and finding her own little "family", Lydia has decided to move back to Gaia with Calder and the boys. A job opportunity at a party planning company sprung up and Lydia couldn't refuse. She's decided to move to an apartment complex near the streets of Fifth and Clover in Barton, after finding some old friends who live there.
And so, with Calder, Colby and Cody at her side and more than a pocket full of sunshine to go around, our little Lydia returns to her home town.
"Need someone to hold your hand or fun to pass the time? Well don't be shy! Come say hi! Hope lives in apartment number 29!"
