A restaurant not far from the Inn. About 15 minutes walking distance, the air of the restaurant is lax, but not necessarily fully casual. It's the sort of place where you should mind your manners, but no one's going to complain if you aren't all dressed up and spiffy. It isn't as though it's so fancy there's a maître d' or anything, and one doesn't need to make a reservation (though it is a good idea). Quality German cuisine is served here, primarily.

Regan steps into the restaurant, confidently walking up to the hostess at the front. "Hallo, mein Schatz! Wie geht es Ihnen?" She leans up against the counter, grinning at the girl who blushes a bit and giggles. "We're here for the-"

"Hiryuu reservation, of course. It's been a while, Hiryuu-chan." The girl completes her sentence, picking up three menus she had ready before leading the way to a booth. "I've got your favorite booth all ready for you. Ah- you've brought two little friends."

"Aaah, Adele-chan, you're so good to me." Regan smiles, sliding into the circular booth in the corner of the restaurant, making room for someone to slide in next to her. "And, yes. Don't mind them, they're as well behaved as Cirus-kun." Regan smiles to Adele and nods her head, the girl bowing to them before going back to the front. Their waitress would be with them shortly. "Yamashita-san, if those two want something to eat, just lemme know what it is they want. They've got a secret menu for pets. <3"

After walking for a good fifteen or so minutes, Gilly looked around as Regan stepped into the restaurant, approaching the hostess. While Regan prepared things, Gilly took the time to appreciate the comfortable feel of the restaurant. Certainly felt Japanese, not just from the people and the language, but it just felt Japanese, but still German at the same time.

Reminds me of that one restaurant Masa-kun took me to... She thought, and looked down at him, her eyes narrowing. ...And I see what her 'borrowing of my fox' was about. As the hostess lead the way to the booth, Gilly followed, nudging Masato and Ayame with her foot to follow. But as they reached he booth, Gilly paused, and grimaced. A booth. Close quarters, with...Regan?

Not exactly wanting to scooch in next to the girl, Gilly folded her arms over her chest, pretending to appreciate the interior a bit more, while stalling for someone else to slide in next to Regan. "...I see. If you want to ask them something, Hiryuu-san, I think you could just ask them." She commented quietly, and then looked around. Fairly quiet, so if Masato and Ayame wanted to talk, they could do so without the usage of a spell.

Axel walked in behind the two girls, looking around. Quite a place. Regan must have been really familiar with Osaka then. He had an idea that she was already, but not that much. Didn't she say her family lived here in Osaka? Made sense.

German. Axel wasn't that familiar with the cuisine. He stopped by the booth adn looked at Gilly and Regan. Oh boy. He cleared his throat nervously, then sighed and decided to sit by Regan instead. "H-hope you don't mind." He chuckled nervously. The last place he felt he wanted to be was in between them, but he'd get over it. "Um, this is a really nice place. Not really that familiar with German cuisine, but it never hurts to try."

A nice German restaurant in the middle of Osaka. Who would have thought? But surprises were what you got when dealing with people like the Hiryuu family along with the restaurant staff who seemed quite familiar and friendly with Regan already. Masato and Ayame trotted in after Gilly, Regan, and Axel before Masato sat down next to Gilly and Ayame set herself down next to Regan and Axel. The tension between Gilly and Regan made their fur bristle slightly with worry, but once the waitress took their orders and their food, drinks, and desserts came, they figured that would take the edge off things.

"Mm, alright. I think I'll do just that, Yamashita-san." Regan smiles softly at Gilly's suggestion, nodding her head once before turning to Ayame, who's taken a seat next to her. Her eyes turn to Axel, on the other side of Ayame. "Aah, no worries. Why would I mind?" She shrugs her shoulders casually before turning to the fox. "Hey there, cute stuff. 'chu wanna eat?" She pets the fox that's taken a seat between her and Axel gently, rubbing the back of her neck before she gets an idea. "Aah... y'know what, I'll surprise you. Cirus eats here with me often enough, and his tastes shouldn't be that far from yours, right?" Cirus is a fox demon, these two are... foxes of some sort. Yeah. Makes sense. "So, I know what I'm getting for you two... theeen I'll have..." Regan starts to flip through the menu, though her eyes turn to her companions. "Aah, if you need any help deciding or have any questions regarding the menu, don't be afraid to ask." She cannot let the tension here affect her. To do so would be detrimental to her current goal.

Sliding in next to Axel, Gilly smoothed out the folds in her dress and peered at the menu in front of her. She picked it up, paging through the menu, grateful to have something else to concentrate on, rather than concentrating on the awkward lunch she'd agreed to go on.

Hearing Regan offer to surprise Masato and Ayame, Gilly looked amused at her so-called reasoning, but she knew the two foxes weren't too picky, as long as it tasted good. And if it didn't? Well...another thing to find negative about Regan, right?

"I don't need help, thanks." Gilly replied, but took a better look at the menu, hiding a grimace as she fully realized that she...probably wasn't the best educated in German cuisine. After all, she'd only gotten through Yggdrasil with Masato's help. Without him, she'd probably have ordered a water, being so overwhelmed by the foreign titles. Even back in New York, she hadn't had a chance to try German cuisine. I now wish I had...! Gilly thought regretfully, but made sure her face gave no sign that she was struggling.

Finally, Gilly plopped her menu down on the table, pointing to a dish, as if to declare: I'll have that one. Truthfully, she had no clue what the hell was in that dish. But to her, suffering through one meal was better than asking Regan for help.

Axel sweatdropped as he looked through the menu. Being unfamiliar with this had its disadvantages. He didn't want to pull off what Gilly did and just pick something out of the blue. "W-well...Hiyruu-san, what would you suggest? mean...for someone who's never really tried a lot of German food." He asked, playing it safe. Might as well ask her.

"For someone who's never tried German food...?" Regan rubs her chin lightly in thought, turning her eyes upward. "Hmmm... Well, if you want something breakfasty, there's the German pancake they serve here. Aah... If you're in the mood for lunch, and you're not familiar with German food, then we'll try to stick with tastes you already like. If you like sweets, then a good Germknödel or perhaps some rice pudding might do well. They've got good casseroles here, too, if you're in the mood for something like that. Ah-" Regan looks over at what Gilly has pointed out and smiles softly to herself. "Ooh, Yamashita-san, such sophisticated tastes! I didn't think you'd be one for duck. Myself, I think I'll take a grilled ham and chimay cheese sandwich with a tomato-watermelon salad."

Oooooh....this was going to be fun. Regan had already begun suggesting dishes for everyone and she apparently had something good in mind for them as well. However, they knew a few good dishes themselves, which would spice up their lunch and make this meal that much more filling and enjoyable for everyone. "Gilly-san, try this with your order. It goes great with roasted dishes and even coffee as well," Masato told Gilly quietly yet eagerly while pointing at a particular dessert platter (Obsttorte...a short, richly-baked cake topped with fresh fruits and cream) with his paw. Ayame also looked over Regan and Axel's menus before pointing to something on Axel's menu with her paw. "Try this, Axel. No meal is complete without a good dessert and this goes well with almost anything," she told Axel in a playful yet hushed tone while pointing towards the Käsesahne Torte on the menu. They were thankful to Regan for inviting them along with Gilly and Axel for lunch and hoped lunch would be enjoyable for everyone.

Duck.

Gilly let out a silent surge of air of relief. Duck! She could handle duck. At times, her grandfather would take her to Chinatown, and try some of the roasted duck, hanging from their metal hooks behind the warm glass displays, shiny and succulent. The texture for Gilly wasn't too bad, perhaps a little stringy, but otherwise, tolerable. ...At least it isn't pigeon or something... She thought with a slight smile, but then frowned. ...Wait. Is she saying I can't take duck? Gilly thought, thinking about Regan's sentence. That I'm a more chicken and pork girl? That little...!

Gripping her menu, Gilly just re-buried herself in the menu, suddenly wishing she could order another dish just to fling at Regan's face. Of course, Gilly was being irrational; that wasn't what Regan had implied at all. But, her natural stubbornness refused to let her think properly. That, and a little dark voice inside her head was chuckling with giddy amusement.

As Masato pointed to something on her menu, her grip on its poor leather cover loosened, as she examined the item. Naturally, she didn't know what the heck it said, but the picture to the left certainly looked appetizing. Gilly looked over to Masato, and her gaze softened, as she smiled slightly. ...Heh. If Masa-kun thinks it'll be good, then it'll be good. Besides... She sighed, as she kept her finger on the obsttorte. He and Ayame-san wanted me to come to Osaka to cheer up. I...should try to be civil. For their sake. And... Gilly peeked out of the corner of her eye at Axel's nervous visage. ...And for Wolfram-kun too.

Gilly had seemed to be... slightly relieved at hearing it was duck. Really? She likes duck? She had half expected a troubled reaction, going back to pour over the menu once again. But, well... clearly not. Though, she does go back to it in a minute... oh well. She turns to the fox at her side, who seems to be quite intent on their menus. "Ah, I never was good at suggesting dishes. Thanks." Regan scratches lightly under Ayame's chin for a moment. "You guys want some genuine German bratwurst? That's the center of the Cirus-kun Special, with some egg, a bit of cheese on the side, and a pretzel. And a bit of ham, if you like." She rubs the back of Ayame's neck before turning back to her menu. "Let's see... The sandwich, aaand... ah. The pretzel appetizer. And theeen for desert - oh, it's on the menu again~" Regan grins brightly, pleased with what she sees. "The German white chocolate vanilla bean blend cheesecake. Mmm~... That. Is going to be my desert."

"Ah...I guess...I can try a casserole..." Axel murmured, looking back at the menu. Gilly apparently might order duck. Though from the look on her face it looked like she was about to change her mind or something. "Ummm...I guess I'll just pick one of these." Axel sweatdropped a bit. He wasn't really sure...what kind of casserole he'd end up picking. With casserole, russian roulette wasn't exactly a safe bet.

Hearing Regan's suggestion for Ayame and Masato, Gilly held back a grimace. She was sure that the two foxes had gained at least twenty pounds after Masato made his deal with Gilly in the woods. After all, how could they not be spoiled? From the countless home-cooked meals at the dorms, to the various dinners on campus, and now, this hearty German lunch? Spoiled, check.

But the pair seemed fine with it, and so Gilly assumed that foxes that were familiars...had a faster metabolism rate than regular foxes? Whatever the reason, as long as they weren't bulging at the sides, stealing into her personal stash of food, or huffing and puffing after one minute of walking, Gilly figured they would be fine. ...But just to be safe, we should...wake the long way back.

Her ears perked up at Regan's dessert suggestion, casually flipping to the dessert page, peeking discreetly at Regan's menu to see what she was looking at. Peering down at her own menu, Gilly resisted an audible slurp. Chocolate and vanilla bean in a cheesecake form? Nothing's impolite about ordering...two desserts, right? She thought mournfully, as she looked back to her chosen dessert, torn between the two.

"H-Hey, Wolfram-kun!" Gilly started, and pointed to the German white chocolate vanilla bean blend cheesecake on her own menu, sliding it over a bit so it sat underneath Axel's eyes. "Let's share a dessert! After all, we don't get to eat German food often, and," I can't decide on one. "...So we should take advantage of this opportunity to try everything! I'll pay for it too."

Axel blinked and lifted his head from his menu hearing his name being called. He looked over at Gilly, then at the menu she made him look at. He took a look at what Gilly was apparently trying to show him. Dessert huh? Well...dessert was always a safer bet than main dishes and entrees, actually. Since dessert was pretty much dessert, except for those few times you get some unexpected and mostly unwanted surprise in one. But that was a thought for another time. Snapping out of that, Axel hesitantly nodded, hearing her suggestion. "Share...a dessert? Ah, if you're sure, that's fine with me." He said, agreeing. Well...what could it hurt, right?
