Biography: Souza ended up in the Seireitei one day. He wasn't sure how or why. He went through Shino Academy ranking only average in most subjects. After achieving his zanpakuto, he trained less and less, attesting that he had little interest in being any stronger than someone else. The one thing he did well was reiatsu. Souza was also somewhat fast but reishi levels were his best attribute. With those he made it into the Gotei 13, if only barely. Due to his high amounts of reishi, he was moved to the Kidou Corps. He transferred and was placed in the Stealth Force due to the nature of his zanpakuto and his refusal to learn many kido.
Nowadays, if you ask Souza what squad he belongs to, he avoids answering the question. Because of this, and his zanpakuto, people say he is a Shinigami from another dimension, though these are merely rumors according to most, even Souza himself.

Shikai Appearance: The zanpakuto does not change.
Shikai Abilities:
Kii-chi o koeta baai (Crossing the Threshold) The technique allows Shouza to move through water, air, or even earth, much like his zanpakuto spirit. The air ripples across him like a body of water before Souza vanishes from sight entirely, moving freely through any medium. However, it is not impossible to damage him. He cannot move through fire without taking damage nor lighting. Additionally, one can strike him while he is in a medium. The problem is that he is entirely invisible, reiatsu and all. Because of that one must make a visible guess where he is coming from or attack a large area all at once. Hitting him will cause damage and throw him out of the medium as well as hitting close to his location. Because the technique uses substances like water, he must come out of hiding every few moments to get a new breath.
