 The spot in which the first "Alice" landed after falling down The White Rabbit's hole. It lies on the outskirts of Wonderland and is somewhat barren, devoid of most life. It is an intangible gateway between reality where humans roam and the land of dreams, Wonderland. I remember hearing tales of the first "Alice" and how she fell through the heart shaped clouds, right in the middle of them. Her landing was softer then it would be now. The tree below used to be filled with soft fluffy leaves, to guarantee a safe landing. Now the tree is only a twisted reminder of what was, sharp prickly branches jutting out in all angles. I have no warning for this place, other then it can be quite boring. -Cheshire

Ace ~The Cheshire Cat~
============================================================================================== Ace tilted his head back, watching the only white clouds of Wonderland drift slowly as they first moved to the right, then back into place, all the while still holding their semi-heart form. Earlier in the day he killed a clumsy bat for sustenance, now he licked the remainder of blood from in between his claws while still watching the sky. He was still hungry though, and once his business here was through he would need to find something else to eat, oh how he missed the ripe fruit of the old Wonderland. It would be difficult to find anything else to devour and although bats were quite numerous they were also rather gamy.
The Cheshire Cat had called an ajoining of minds insisting that The White Rabbit and The Mad Hatter join him here at the edge of Wonderland. The edge was chosen because it was the most barren place, no one came this way so he could be sure that they would not be bothered. The White Rabbit had informed Ace that he would be searching for a way to end this whole mess. Ace doubted anything could be done but none the less he waited here to gain the information. Maybe that rabbit did something useful after all and actually succeeded.
He was beginning to get impatient and sighed. Ace floated his body up to the lowest hanging branch and perched his body against it. His tail swinging back and forth slowly in time with the ticking of a clock; where the ticking came from he didn't know, nor did he care. Yawning he stretched his arms and tucked them under his neck. He snuggled closer to the tree and closed his eyes. At least he could nap until his guests arrived. ===============================================================================================

Marlicia D' Sang +I'm not a mad hatter? I'm neither angry nor hat-less...- Where's my hat?+ {Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall... ....Humpty Dumpty had a great fall}Wandering.... Looking.... Going.... Moving...
The words continued to file into her head as she walked through the slightly brighter forest. Marlicia continued on going backwards and going whichever direction her mind lead her, only to pause when a peculiar creature turned up in her midst. It was a floating catman! A circus was near perhaps. Her eyes sparkled at the thought only to pause as she realized he'd used her nickname. That means he already knew her... Marlicia's pause turned to first confusion, and soon enough recognition- of a sort. "Mr. Ace! You cranktankerous feline! You are most certainly late for your meeting!" She scolded him as he tilted her parasol back slightly. Marlicia now had something to focus on and it was at those times she became lucid.
Of course lucid wasn't necessarily a good thing where she was concerned. No, when she was lucid she had coherency. She had knowledge. And she had the most biting of tempers if you catch her on one of her bad days. Luckily for Mr. Cranky Kitten, she wasn't in a bad mood so at his following words she paused to think. Yes, it was easy to see that she was getting a little more lucid by the moment as she stood there in her silence. "Mr. Rabbit...? Here?..." Marli asked with a tilt of her head as he asked her another question. Suddenly she scowled and bopped the Ace on the head in reprimand. "Oh, you naughty cat! You asked meet up with you, and yet you are late! How very rude!"

Ace ~The Cheshire Cat~
===============================================================================================
The women's eyes seemed misted over, like she was in some far off place, detached from her own body, but the more The Cheshire spoke, the clearer her eyes became until they shimmered with certainty. Although her words and actions betrayed her as she still uttered nonsense.
She struck him with her parasol and yelped in both surprise and slight pain. He rotated his body so that his feet now touched the ground and he rubbed the spot between his ears, which were angled back in frustration. There was no need for that...he brooded. But Ace let it go with a shrug as he knew that the hatter really meant no harm.
In fact, Ace chuckled from her final comment. "Right, I was taking a nap, must have slept longer then I should have. Sorry to keep you waiting Marli." He paused. "And I assume by your reaction that you have not seen him." The second was more of a statement to himself then a question for Marlicia.
Ace stepped closer to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders then proceeded to lick his other arm and run it over his ears, cleaning them. "Say, why don't we walk around and find me something to eat. That White Rabbit might take longer then I thought, and I am still quite hungry." his stomach gurgled in response. If he could convince Marli to help him find food, that would make his life easier; anything to get him to do less work.
The only reason Ace was so openly comfortable with Marli, is because he figured she would forget most of it later anyways, though at the same time he though it rather sad. He enjoyed retaining knowledge and for her to forget bits and pieces of it at times, didn't seem right.

Marlicia D' Sang +I'm not a mad hatter? I'm neither angry nor hat-less...- Where's my hat?+ {Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall... ....Humpty Dumpty had a great fall} Marli watched as Ace rubbed at his head and blinked in confusion as his ears lowered. If she remembered correctly, that means an animal is angry, but why would the kitten be angry? Her face grew concerned as she lowered the fan from her face to gently pet his cheek in soothing motions. A complete one-eighty in her previous behavior though, that was quite a normal thing to say the least. "Whatever is the matter Mr. Cranky Kitten? What has gotten you-" The questions died down as she looked past the Cheshire. .....? Blinking a few times as she began to pull back from the cat her now lucid attention had caught sight of something moving. Though just as quickly as the recognition of movement began a smile of innocence and absence graced her face again. My such a lovely place! Perhaps I'll invite Mr. Cranky Kitten, and Mr. Rabbit for a nice party! Marli thought moments before Ace wrapped an arm around her shoulders.
"Goodness! Mr. Ace, you gave me such a fright!" She exclaimed loudly thought her behavior said otherwise. Why was the Cheshire Cat here? Marli wondered as she glanced about only to realize that she couldn't place where or why she was even where she currently stood. Her black eyes scanned the area as habit demanded she do for whatever reason that the queer female did so. There had been something that had caught her attention before, but for the life of her she couldn't remember what. Oh well, couldn't have been of any real importance. Marlicia was about to start walking again only to realize that something was holding her before she started to move. Looking back to the Cat, Marlicia let out an irritated breath as she cover half of her face from the cat rude animal. "You are late Mr. Cat, and then you request that I feed you! So very rude!" She responded even as she released her fan and it began to float in mid-air where it continued to cover her face.
As she closed up her parasol and a bit of light punctured her dark shark-like eyes, Marli again paused. Someone was there... Many someones... But why would anyone be here at the border? Was it for their meeting? Oh, dear! She was going to be late for the meeting with Mr-
"Oh! Mr. Ace! Have you been waiting long?" Marlicia asked as she noticed Ace wrapped around her shoulders yet again. Her gaze softened into pure genuine gentleness and started to gently stroke Ace's face in apology. "You must be starving since the forest stopped bearing your fruit, you poor thing. Here, let Marli give you something good to eat." And out of nowhere, as she opened up her parasol large table filled with food, drinks, and goodies of all varieties appeared. "Now let us... oh dear... Have you seen, Mr. Rabbit?" She asked Ace as she sat down on a protruding tree-root with concern and confusion. "We can't possibly start without him, it would be so very rude to invite Mr. Rabbit to our picnic and not wait for him. Don't you think so, Mr. Cranky Kitten?"{...All the kings horses and all the kings men Turned all red while screaming again...}

Ace ~The Cheshire Cat~
===============================================================================================
Ace remained quite while Marlicia seemed to deal with her inner termoil. First asking what was wrong with him, when in fact it was her parasol that caused him to tend to his head. He opened his mouth to respond but realized it would do no good, The Hatter seemed lost in thought. Ace noted that this happened quite often; her mood swings, asking questions that don't have answers, and giving answers to the silence. However, that was who she was and The Cheshire Cat had become accustomed to it, somewhat dependent on her forgetting what he did and said. He reminded himself that no matter how much Marli forgot, he still needed to keep his internal walls up; he still needed to keep up a certain image. It was difficult though when she was stroking him like a cat. His ears moved away from irritation and to a state of calm.
Then she was startled by his presence, even recoiling from him and just as quickly lost in her own mental wanderings. Ace waited until she called him late once more and placed her fan between them. "Sorry, I was napping." He explained but wasn't sure if his words would sink in this time or not. He lifted his paw and draped one claw over the top of the fan and brought it down to look into her face, hoping that might pull her from her mind. Marli's next actions made him believe that he had a hand in steering their conversation forward.
"I haven't been here to long. Don't worry Marli." He knew the only way to truly enjoy The Hatter was to have patience. She was petting him again, another good sign that they were getting somewhere in the conversation. Ace's intent on their discussion dwindled as food appeared before him, his stomach made even louder bubbling noises. He acted on instincts and reached for the food on the table, his knee against the wooden bench and the other extended; Ace didn't even care that he was still half standing. Black and white fur swayed happily behind him. But just as he was bringing a fresh paistry to his lips, Marli brought up The White Rabbit.
It was quite a site to see The Chesire Cat frozen in mid bite, he realized if he ate, he might owe The Hatter a favor. Not waiting for The Rabbit might also put him in ill favor, something he normally liked to avoid. Ace sighed and ploped on the bench with his back against the edge of the food filled table. He moved each of the elbows and pushed aside plates so he had room to support his body in a lazy position. "Alright, We shall wait." But he better get here soon, he added silently. His ears were slightly back but he closed his eyes to remain controlled.

~+~RyAn WhItE~+~ Ryan had stood on the edge of wonderland for a while now.She had been watching his associates for momments, curiosity getting the best if him."Hmm...Ace poor ace..pity not the wild flower, for it could be your undoing"
The white rabbit, waited a few more momments, studying Marlicia sporadic behavior and Ace's laid back attitude.Oddly enough, it was all in order and She decided it was time to show itself. The sound of boots crunching the random twig and grass could be heard with every step white took, towards the flea bitten cat, and the insane harlot. As he came into view, she checked her silver pocket watch."You are both late, and i am not good with "Late" people.." As white reached the table, it did a quick scan of everything and settled for a piece of carrot cake towards his side. He picked it up gingerly and sniffed it for any trace of the famous poison powders the hatter was known for. After deciding the pastry was "safe", Ryan stuffed the first piece of it in her mouth, letting out a small sound of gratitude, his ears twitching slightly, before It turned to both the cat and the hatter..
"If you are done with your chit-chat, think we could get down to bussnise?...My plans are quite in need of hurry and i am more than fashionably late, by fates standards."

Marlicia D' Sang +I'm not a mad hatter? I'm neither angry nor hat-less...- Where's my hat?+ {Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall... ....Humpty Dumpty had a great fall} Marlicia sat down at the table that had appeared from her parasol and smiled absently as her own words were lost on her. She lifted a tea cup to her lips as her parasol floated above her to keep out the light and her fan was covering half of her face. Every few objects here and there had some of her favorite concoctions in it that she reserved for either herself or herself and someone who's angered her in some way. The tea she was drinking even then had been mixed spider's root, a poison that she grew in her garden back in the twisted forest. It was able to liquify certain creature's organ within minutes if eaten raw; hours if made into an extract making a person die slow and painfully. Marlicia herself could drink it only because after so many years of tending to most of the poisons she grew she'd gotten an immunity. That, and many of the plants talked to her and told her their secrets in her lucid moments.
Even now, Marli was becoming more cognizant of everything at her table and what she'd allow to be eaten by Ace- which was why she'd asked him to wait. Ace rarely visited her and when he did she had Doris set the table with all the goodies. The little door mouse that she lived with was normally with her as she cooked because sometimes Marli would forget that the little mouse and the Hare couldn't eat some if any of her poisons. Perhaps it was because she was so much more lucid that she'd started counting them all, and why she remembered what had caught her eyes before hand. Of course, as soon as their awaited party member walked up to them she lost all of her useful musings. "Oh! Mr. Rabbit! You've made it!" She chimed happily as the Ryan reached the table, only to frown in confusion at his term of them being late. That was most definitely untrue, wasn't it? But then again... Auntie Red did make Mr. Rabbit in charge of her time so it must be true right?
It was obvious that she was again veering off into her own mind while Ryan was being his normal suspicious self before eating her treats. Treats? Oh! Were they having a party?! The idea that they were going to have a party had the Hatter's eyes glowing with excitement and anticipation. "Oh! Are we having a party! And here I haven't brought anything to add to this already beautiful spread!" Marlicia said as she looked to first the rabbit then the cat. Without pause or thought she reached for the one that Ace had grabbed only moments ago and took a bite of the delicacy. She let out a moan of pure ecstasy and smiled as the familiar flavor registered. "Mmmm! You two must try these, I believe it has Witch's blemish in it!" She informed them of one of many other poisons she habitually grew, and another poison that she had an immunity to.
At the sound of Mr. Rabbit's words though she froze and blinked realizing that the creature was there. Had she begun eating before her guests? Oh deary, her! Looking to the cheshire cat with tear-filled eyes Marli began to sniffle as and her fan lowering slightly. "M-Mr. Ace... I ate before a guest! I ate before I guest!" She panicked oblivious to Ryan's words and beginning to cry with her distressed state, making her thick eye make-up run. With her tears running down her face, she almost didn't notice the movement some ways off even if she didn't truly understand what she saw.

Doris ventured through the trees of the Twisted forest; she was searching for Marli. The little mouse had seen the women leave some time ago and started to worry when she didn't return. First, Doris checked the gardens around their home, thinking that Marli might be tending to the growth of the plants, or harvesting them for a later meal. Although most of what Marli grew was poisonous, there were a handful of vegetables that were eatable. Marli had adapted enough but this was not the case for Doris. In fact she was highly sensitive to the most of the poisons and could sniff them with her nose. She had to do this often when Marli decided to cook though Doris herself did most of the household chores which included preparing the meals. After searching in the garden and finding it empty, Doris checked the rooms of the house once more. As each room turned up without Marli, Doris grew more anxious. This is when she decided to venture out of the Tea garden and search the Twisted forest. She passed the other inhabitants homes but heard no voices or other noises to indicate that Marli would be there.
She continued walking becoming more worried by the second but on the outside remaining calm and collected. Doris was rather skilled at hiding her inner intentions ad keeping her face placid, and she had to be in order to survive.
Her ears flicked towards the sound of voices, three separate tones, including the one she was specifically looking for. She sighed a breath of relief and continued an even pace towards the three of them. She stopped at the edge of the trees and placed her hands against the bark of the tree trunk. Her shoulders were scrunched together as she tried to make herself smaller and she turned her ears to listen in. There wasn't much too listen too though, it seemed that Ryan had only just entered. Now she had to decide whether she was going to remain behind the tree or reveal herself. Thinking that the first could yield an unwanted consequence if she was caught, she moved silently around the tree to face the three.
Doris coughed, though it sounded more like a squeak, and spoke in a tiny voice; she had to play her part as the innocent mouse. "May I join you?" However, after she spoke she noticed the tears streamed down Mali's cheeks. Without hesitation she rushed over and placed her hands on either of Marli's cheeks, willing the women to look up at her. Then started into her eyes.

Ace ~The Cheshire Cat~ ===============================================================================================
Ace tipped his head back and turned his face toward the sky with closed eye lids, then relaxed his body against the table and proceed to continue his earlier nap. Though not quite as deep as last time; his ears turned at opposite angles, trying to catch any stray snap of a twig or rustle of a leaf. As soon as that Rabbit got here, Ace would get to eat. Lucky for him, it wouldn't be that long of a wait. For within a few moments he heard the soft, but stern voice he was waiting for. The White Rabbit had arrived. He opened one eye lazily then pushed his hands behind his head and leaned back just enough to catch Ryan's eye in his own.
"I thought you of all people would be here on time." He followed the comment with a smirk.
But that faded quickly as his focused was pulled to Marli. He turned to watch her, rotating his legs until the were under the table and perched his elbows on top. She plucked they very pastry he had been drooling over and he grumbled slightly so himself. But that feeling diminished quickly as well; it was apparently poisoned according to her anyways. Lucky for him he had listed to Marlicia other wise he would be decaying at the moment. He breathed heavily and was no longer sure what was in fact eatable. He pushed away the plate closest to him and tucked his chin into his cross folded arms with a pout on his face. he would have to wait even longer to eat, and when he did, the cat might have to settle eating another bat.
His ears perked up as he heard Marli's voice filled with distress. Ace started to get up from the table and move to comfort her when The Door Mouse shyly stepped into view, then before he could do anything else she was already at Marli's side, attempting to be comfort her. Ace returned to his seat and his mood turned a bit sour. His eyes darted towards the Rabbit.
"It seems we have one more."
He knew Marli would probably ignore him now, in both spirit and mind. Which is why he avoided inviting the little mouse to begin with. Even when the hatter was in her own little world, Ace could at least draw her out of it and her attention would remain on him, but now he felt that Doris would take priority.
"We might as well begin Ryan."

Marlicia D' Sang +I'm not a mad hatter? I'm neither angry nor hat-less...- Where's my hat?+ {Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall... ....Humpty Dumpty had a great fall} She was crying and yet even then Marlicia wasn't able to fully understand why when the familiar little mouse grabbed onto her attention. With a few sniffles trying to calm down Marli tried to figure out what had upsetted her so. Even more so, her dark shark-like gaze began looking around and seemed to come to some sort of important discovery... or rather remembered something. Looking back at Doris, she glared only slightly with confusion at the young woman that lived with her. "Sissy Ris? Whatever are you doing here?" Marli demanded of her gently as her eyes began to make sure the female didn't get harmed trying to...? Pausing she looked around again as she took note of Ryan again and sighed especially since Cranky Kitten also looked peeved and ready to begin.
"No matter... Sissy Ris, since you are here do join us. And make sure that they do not eat any of my special treats or tea, please?" She said with a kind smile as Marlicia sat back down on her tree root while taking another sip of her tea as if nothing had just happened. She looked around at the scenery that surrounded them and finally scowled as she noted that some of the remaining wildlife was silent. How odd... Blinking she glanced back to the table and then to Ace with a smile that was hidden behind her fan. "I see you ate the cream puff. Was it to your liking? I know you prefer fruit but I don't usually carry it... Oh! Mr. Rabbit! You've finally come and you brought Doris too!" Marli chimed as she looked at Ryan again.

~+~RyAn WhItE~+~ Ryan sneered at Ace and his small taunt for being late. "Listen now kitty cat..i may no longer be the time overseer, but i am well in command of it." Ryan sat back and shifted his sneer to a smirk. "and as i command it...i rule it. So if i say you are late, well then there is no mistake." White turned towards Marli who had started to cry, Ryan let out a rather loud sigh and his ears twitched rather exasperated. He could feel the cat trying to do something for the hatter, and even though White would never say anything, It appreciated the gesture. After all, Marlicia was Ryan's {{EX}}monarch's favorite niece. And while Marli grew up, White was ordered to take care of her..and fix her, when the queen was done using her as a bleeding bed toy.
"Still crying little marli, huh?" Ryan was taken from its memories of the past, when a small squeaking sound caught its attention. Ryan looked over to see the small frame of Doris and scowled."And they say, three is a crowd.." White narrowed its eyes at the door mouse, and its ears twitched in irritation, knowing marli would cry if White shooed away Doris. After a few momments of pondering, White got up and walked on the table,dodging the food and standing right in front of Doris. "I might be in need of you Doris, I need someone to keep Marlecia as lucid as possible...BUT.." White bent from its waist and leveled its face with the mouse, giving her a serious look. "This is a very important..."Party"...we are discussing serious information, and if anything of what i'm about to say,leaves your lips." White gave her a dazzling smile as it continued. "I promise, to use my own power..and turn your clock around, making you age back, until you become a fetus..and with the last of my energy, take you to the bloody redcaps to boil you alive in their stews" White closed its eyes and straightened up, hopping off the table and eyeing all of them.
"The meeting was called in, because i met with the duchess...and she had something quite informative for us.Whites ears twitched and it wrinkled its nose with distaste. "Our key...its been found in the MORTAR world. The Alice, is just a sitting duck. A Human for our taking."Ryan looked around, letting a moment of silence pass by before continuing. "Now, Intell has told me, where to go and how to bring the human back..This will be essential in order to overthrow the dark king, and save "Under land" Ryan sat on the edge of the table and closed its eyes, It had much more to say, but decided to let the other speak their thoughts for the momment.

Doris ignored the attention whore cat and nodded silently to Marli, "I'll make sure." Then she turned so she faced the others and sat on the tree root next to Marli. Doris was relived to have Marli more coherent, though it would be hard to tell how long it would last. Straitening the fabric of her dress then folding her hands into her lap she focused on Ryan as it spoke. her eyes were blank, showing no emotion as she listened. The threat went to uninterested ears; although the rabbit seemed serious, Doris only cowered slightly in a fake response. She had to seem like it's words really bothered her, but in reality the little mouse did not fear the rabbit. What are these three up to...
"I cannot promise anything. Marli runs on her own schedule." but it was already explaining the reason behind this gathering so her own words floated off unanswered.
Keeping her face blank, her mind turned over what Ryan said. So they truely intend to take over the throne and a puny human is their only hope. They think they can 'save' Underland, this world does not need saving, it's just fine the way it is.
She kept her lips closed, wanting to see how the cat or Marli would feel about this. Do they all really think this? Or is it just the rabbit. If Marli agrees with it...How will I keep her safe...

Ace ~The Cheshire Cat~
=============================================================================================== Ace shook his head towards Marli, though he hadn't eaten anything yet and now wasn't planning on it either he still responded, "It was quite delicious." Then he began to paw at a dish nearby that contained something mushy while Ryan took the stage.
Ace wasn't surprised when Ryan threatened Doris, in fact it made since. The White Rabbit and The Cheshire Cat both knew were the loyalties of each other lay and The Hatter, well she did things her own way but she could be counted on to do as such. The Door Mouse however, never showed any emotion one way or the other, did she support the king or not? It was hard to tell. At the very least the mouse seemed to do her best to look after Marli, she couldn't be all bad then, right?
While thinking about her, the cat's yellow irises peered at her from underneath his dark hair. A question crept up in his mind. How had the door mouse found them...Usually no one came out this far...
Ace lost his train of thought when Ryan's voice broke through claiming the needed to fetch a human to become the new 'Alice.' "Sounds peachy, How are we going to go about kidnapping 'Alice?' Will you be needing my help in that?" As a demonstration he made all but his deep eyes and wide grin invisible, much like the cheshire before him so loved to do. "Though if you do need my help, you know my price." The rest of his body became visible once more but he was now floating above the table with his chin resting against his paws and his face inches from Ryan. "But I might make an exception for you." Ace toyed with Ryan's right ear using his paw. Part of him felt that helping to save Wonderland was more important then gaining a favor, but only a small part.
"I wonder, is this really the only way to save Wonderland?" Ace liked referring to their world as such, the way the first "Alice' had referred to it. Though he wasn't the Cheshire cat at the time, he still remembered her fondly.
