Danika sat on the steps outside of Coates. She was wearing her uniform; crisp white blouse, plaid skirt, black buckled shoes. Sighing loudly, Danika slipped her hand into her messenger bag, grabbing her small mirror. She clicked it opened and touched up her makeup. She sighed again. "Oh what to do, what to do..." she muttered, glancing carelessly around the campus.

Lance hurried outside. He wasn't completely sure what was going on, but he knew his teacher and half the school just randomly disappeared. He spotted his classmate Danika and walked a few steps closer to her " Danika... How can you be so calm over this?" he asked. He wondered if maybe she knew what was goin on.

Danika looked up at him with a mixed look of spite and pity. She gathered her bag, slinging it nonchalantly over her shoulder. She placed her hands on her hips, and replied: "The teachers are punking us. Its probably some lame attempt at a 'team building' exercise. I mean, think about it: They 'disappeared,' which forces us to work together. at the end of the day, they'll probably jump out and yell: 'Surprise!'" Danika threw her arms in the air, pantomiming the 'surprise.'
But what Danika did not know was that the teachers had quite literally disappeared out of thin air. She had been in the hallway when a bunch of little kids ran up to her, asking her where the teachers were. And sure enough, when she peeked into her math class, there was no teacher in sight. She also didn't know that it wasn't only teachers, but some of the students as well.

Lance looked at Danika with shock and disgust "All the upperclassmen are gone." he said. "they into teaming up with the teachers in attempts to freak out kids?" he spat out. It didn't seem reasonable.

Danika arched an eybrow and folded her arms, the corner of her mouth twitched upwards so that she was smiling slightly. Dispite her amused look, her gaze was white hot. "Oh? And you had a better explanation?" Danika laughed. But there was a twinge of doubt in her mind.
The teachers and the upperclassmen? She dug around in her bag, and pulled out her cellphone. She flipped it open, then frowned, shoving the phone forcefully back into her bag. "No service. That's great." She ran a hand back through her dark brown hair.

Lance grimaced "I'll figure it out..." he said. "You're welcome to join me." he said, just to be polite. He didn't really like Danika all that much, she had a bad temper. People with like that bothered him most of the time, which was too bad cause his school was full of them.

She sighed for what seemed like the hundredth time that day. "Yeah, ok, I'll tag along." She muttered, unaware that Lance really didn't want her to come.

Lance stifled an annoyed sigh. "k, well I have to find my sister, so we're going to the plaza first." he told her. After school, Adelaide and Lance always met at the plaza to walk home. It was requested by their parents and wasn't too horribly out of the way. He looked at her wondering if maybe she would change her mind... It wasn't important if she didn't. He could just ditch her if she got too pissy, but there were limits on how much he could put up with from people.

"Whatever you want man, I'm just following." She shrugged, trying not to act to interested in going down to the Plaza. But in truth, she was. She needed to see if there were more people, or if there was cell service. She needed to know what was going on.

Lance shrugged and started walking to the plaza. She really seemed like she was just doing this cause she was bored. That irked him.

When Lance turned his back, Danika let out a silent sigh. She could tell that this wasn't going to be much of a picnic.

Oz was walking around. He couldn't find anyone. "WHERE IS EVERYONE?!?!?!?!?!" He pulled out one of his lolipops. He licked it and started walking towards the one place he felt alone. Its funny because it was one of the most open places ever.
