No one over 15 remains. Not a single adult. No doctors, no cops, no parents. Gone, too, are the cellphone connections, internet, and cable.
A strange force-field has trapped them within the city. No way to get out, no way to get help.
Hunger threatens. Bullies are taking over. Animals are mutating. And the teens themselves are changing, developing new talents- unimaginable, dangerous, deadly powers- that grow stronger every day.
It's a terrifying new world. Sides are being chosen. War is imminent.

Ok, so to elaborate on the summary above....
In a town in California, called Perdido Beach, everyone over 15 disappears, along with cable, cellphone, and internet connections. With no adults, nobody is in charge, and chaos and confusion is bound to take control.
Kids are calling it The FAYZ (Fallout Alley Youth Zone).
There is also a barrier that surrounds the whole city like a sphere. The barrier is opaque (but you can still see the sky somehow), greenish-yellow, and burns if you touch it, yet it doesn't leave a mark.
Kids also discover that animals are mutating; snakes with wings, seagulls with razor sharp talons. Some humans begin mutating too, and discover that they have supernatural abilities.
While people in Perdido Beach try to keep things under control, kids from a private school called Coates Academy are planning to take over the FAYZ.
Also, kids without powers who call themselves 'The Human Crew,' begin thinking that the 'freaks' are abominations, and start attacking them.
And yet another problem: What happens when you turn 15? People nickname the disappearence 'the poof.' Nobody knows where you go when you poof, or, how to beat it. (Yet).
