And as I've told you guys before, this is my One Piece story. And the title is "They Are Real". I won't post this every time I get on, but I'll post every once in a while, just to get your opinions. This is the first chapter smile (I hope the whole thing came out. I copied and pasted and don't feel like checking to make sure everything came out. It shoud've though....The chapters get much longer by chapter...25 I think...I don't remember.) Remember the first few chapters always suck, so you won't get into much of the interesting things until around chapter 5 I think. Or a little after. Oh and the title won't be there all the time...But I will have each chapters name each chapter.
They Are Real- Roronoa Zoro
[Vivian’s POV] “Where did you go now Luffy?” I asked myself, looking past my small boat’s sides and around the ocean. My knee-length silver skirt was blowing around my knees. My sky blue, v-cut, tee-shirt was tight fitting so it didn’t move as much as my skirt. I wore regular blue flip flops to match my shirt. Luffy and I had set out together only a few days ago, and the idiot already managed to get lost because of a whirlpool. Ah well, I guess it’s time to find my best friend. I took the oars and started rowing; trying to find some direction that Luffy could have gone to. In the distance, I saw a ship. Luffy had to be there. The idiot was too dumb to die, so I knew he was still alive somewhere. That ship was as good a place as any to start. After another twenty minutes, I finally reached the ship. The wind was blowing my waist length hair into my face, so I pulled out a band and put my hair into a high ponytail. My bangs still stayed in my face, seeing as how they reached the top of my cheekbones and couldn’t fit into the ponytail. So light blue kept invading my vision. I tied my little ship onto this new one, noticing it was a pirate ship that obviously never saw me. Hopefully there’s food that isn’t seafood on this thing. I climbed onto the ship, only to get some huge person thrown on me. It was a very big woman. “Get off!” I shouted. Using all my strength, I kicked the woman off of me and off into the distance. Everyone on the ship was watching me with wide eyes. I turned in the direction that the woman came from to see Luffy. He wore his red vest, jean shorts to his knees, flip flops, and Shanks’ straw hat over his shaggy black hair. He’s never let that thing too far out of his sight ever since Shanks gave it to him. “Luffy!” I ran at him, punching him in the face. His head sprang back a few feet then came back, giving me a view of his face, and the scar with two stitches under his left eye. I ducked so that I could avoid the recoil of his head. “I searched for you and when I finally find you, you throw some huge person on me? Not everyone likes being squished.” I gave him a look. “Hey Vivian!” he shouted happily, a huge grin on his face. I sighed with a smile and looked around. There were some pirates around, and some little kid next to Luffy with pink hair and dorky glasses. I pointed at the kid. “Who’s the kid?” “Oh, that’s Koby,” Luffy said, pointing at him. I sighed. “Oh, we’re looking for a boat. Do you know where we might be able to get one?” I gave him a stupid look. “Um Luffy, I got here on a boat.” “Really?” he asked, happy. A thought seemed to have struck him. “Oh, yeah. You don’t like the water.” I looked down where the boat was. “The boat’s down there Luffy.” He jumped over the side of the ship and landed in the boat. I looked at the kid. “I’m guessing you’re coming too…get in.” He nodded and got in. “Oh, did you guys get any food?” They both shook their heads, so I looked at the pirates who were still staring at me wide eyed. “Can you guys get some food for me? No seafood.” Someone ran out of sight, and after a few minutes, came back. He had a bag full. I nodded as he handed it to me and untied the boat, jumping into it directly after. I held the bag with one hand and my skirt down with my other hand. “Now off we go!” Luffy shouted as we started our trip. “So um…Luffy,” Koby started. “Is this girl a friend of yours?” Luffy nodded, putting his arm around my shoulders. “I’ve known Vivian for nine years. We’ve been best friends ever since we met.” I smiled at the memories. “Yeah, this moron managed to cheer me up after I had lost my family. He managed to make me smile and enjoy life.” “She’s always getting me out of trouble.” He smiled happily, not that he ever did much different. >>FF>> “So, where’re we headed Luf?” I asked about an hour later. “Well Koby had said something about a pirate hunter,” Luffy answered, looking at Koby. “What’s he like?” “Oh, you mean Zoro?” Koby asked. “He’s a ruthless guy. He’s a demon.” “Sounds cool,” Luffy said. “From what I hear he uses the three sword style,” I told Luffy. His eyes glowed with joy. “Strong guy.” His eyes got wider. “I’m guessing you wanna go find him?” He nodded his head quickly. “I wanna make him join my pirate crew!” “What?” Koby shouted as I laughed. “Only you would want a pirate hunter to join a pirate crew.” “He’s evil!” This kid doesn’t know Luffy very well. He sees the best in most people. “Yes well, if it’s the Marines, I’d rather check for myself,” I said, leaning against the side of the boat and letting my hair hang right above the water. “Not all Marines can be trusted you know.” “Marines are the good guys!” “Are you saying Luffy and I are the bad guys?” I asked, tilting my head to the side. The bottom of my hair touched the water. The light blue turned a darker color from having water in it. “N-no,” he stuttered. “Well, Marines are the good guys according to you. If they’re the good guys, pirates are the bad guys. Luffy and I are pirates. We’re the bad guys.” “Well you two aren’t bad.” “And not all Marines are good,” I said, smiling. I leaned my head back and let more of my hair get wet. Over half my hair was wet now. “So there’s a chance this Zoro guy can be good.” The clouds were lazily floating above us, making me smile. “Besides, we’ll be there anyway to bring you to the Marines,” Luffy told Koby. “And you told me that’s where they were keeping Zoro. So, we can kill two birds with one stone!” “Well this ought to be fun,” I said, leaning my head all the way back and getting up to the end of my ponytail wet. “I have a question,” Koby said about a half an hour later. I had taken my hair out of the water and laid in the boat, my hair away from me. It was mostly dry, but still a somewhat darker blue than normal. “Yeah?” I asked, moving my head from my laying position of watching the clouds in the sky. “What’s that mark around your wrist?” I turned my right hand to look at the back of it. On the top part of my hand was a deep blue raindrop. Around my whole wrist, and just barely touching the tip of the raindrop, was a wave sort of design, the same color as the raindrop. “Would you believe it if I told you this was a birthmark?” I asked him. “What?” he asked. “That has to be a tattoo. Nobody can be born with that.” “I can and was born with it.” “That’s so weird,” he said, looking at it. “I think Vi’s tattoo is cool,” Luffy stated. I sighed. “Luffy, I’ve told you time and time again. It’s not a tattoo!” I hit him on top of the head. He pouted but then smiled again. “It doesn’t matter what it is. It matches Vi’s eyes.” It was true. I had the same colored eyes as the ocean. So my birthmarks did match my eyes. “True…But they’re not tattoos Luffy.” “Well, I think they are,” he said, pouting. “They’re not.” “I think they are.” “They’re not.” “I think-” “Since when do you think?” I interrupted, giving him a look. I smirked when he couldn’t answer. “Yeah, that’s what I thought.” I stared back up at the clouds. “Are you gonna go to sleep?” Luffy asked, blocking my view of the clouds. I smiled. “That’s a great idea. Wake me up when we get to the island.” I closed my eyes and rolled over to lay on my side. >>FF>> Turned out nobody decided to wake me up, because when I opened my eyes, there was nobody else on the boat, and the boat was docked. “Luffy you left me behind…again…” I grumbled, standing up and stretching my limbs. Once I was stretched and somewhat awake, I got out of the boat and looked around the docks. It was on the edge of a town. “I guess I’ll just walk around until I find Luffy or something.” I started on my little journey and walked through this seemingly peaceful town. I actually liked this village. It was kinda like Fuusha village, where Luffy was born. Well, it reminded me of Fuusha until I got to the gates of the Marine base. Then it reminded me of hell. Marines always did annoy the hell out of me. I glanced to the side and walked over to the wall that was just slightly smaller than that huge door. Bending my legs down a bit, I used a little bit of my strength and jumped up onto the wall. There, in the courtyard and in the middle of a battle with a guy with an axe for a right hand, was Luffy. Of course he has to make trouble with Marines. I jumped off the wall and walked calmly over to Koby and another guy. This new guy must’ve been Zoro. He had green hair, three gold earrings in his left ear, a green bandana on his head, a white shirt, green haramaki around his waist, dark green pants, black boots, and three swords in their sheaths on his right side. He fits the description everyone gives him. I heard a big thud and glanced to the side to see the guy with the axe for a hand falling. “Who’s the guy you knocked out Luffy?” I asked, stopping next to Koby and stepping on some unconscious guy’s hand. Not that I cared. He was blond, and had that spoiled rich kid look to him. “Oh Vi!” Luffy shouted happily. “You found me!” “Someone didn’t wake me up,” I told him. I glanced at the guy Luffy must have knocked out. “Who’s the guy?” I asked again. “Oh, him? Axe-hand Morgan,” he answered. I nodded my head. “So you took out a Marine…Cool.” I pointed at who I guessed was Zoro. “Is that Zoro?” “Yeah!” Luffy shouted again. “And he’s the newest member of our crew!” I stared at Zoro. “If I ever take a nap and ask to be woken up, I’m leaving you in charge of that. Luffy manages to forget…” I turned my attention back to Luffy. “How long was I asleep?” “Most of the day,” Koby said from behind me. Sighing, I stared up into the sky at the clouds. There was a thud and some yelling, so I turned my attention back to the people around me. Zoro had passed out. Koby was the one yelling. “I’ll carry him,” I told Luffy. “Just lead me to wherever we should be going, since I know you’ll want to eat before we leave.” I walked over to Zoro and bent down to pick him up. I tossed him over my shoulder. Koby stared at me, somehow surprised by my strength. “You saw me kick that tubby thing off of me when we met,” I told him, heading toward the wall I had jumped over. “Does this really surprise you?” I used the strength in my legs and jumped just enough to get on top of the wall. Luffy grabbed Koby and jumped up with me. When we were all safely on the other side of the wall, Luffy put Koby down, and Koby led us to some building. I think it might’ve been a restaurant but I can’t be sure. The little girl and the woman there knew everyone except me. There was a crowd that gathered at the door after we went in. “Oh this is Vivian,” Luffy said right before he started pigging out on food. Zoro had started to wake up so I set him in a chair. I nodded my head to the woman and girl before taking a bite of my food. “I’m part of Luffy’s crew…In my opinion, I think my job is being his babysitter.” The woman and girl laughed. I took a bite of something I wasn’t sure what it was before I spit it back out in a towel. Some had already went down my throat though. “What’s wrong?” the girl asked. I had my hand over my mouth. “What was that?” I asked, pointing at the non eaten part of the food on my plate. “Oh, that’s truffles stuffed with salmon,” the woman said. “Bathroom,” I said, immediately standing up. The woman quickly led me to a bathroom, where I threw up. Once the taste of fish was out of my mouth, I washed my mouth at the sink, and then went back to where everyone was. “Are you okay?” asked Koby. “I’m fine now,” I said, deciding to play it safe and eat a salad. “Vi doesn’t eat seafood,” Luffy said between platefuls. “Oh, I can fix you some things without fish in them,” the woman said. “Oh, I’ll just put them in front of Luffy,” I told her, moving the food that got me sick in front of Luffy. It managed to stay there for maybe ten seconds before it was gone. “He’ll eat anything. I’ll just eat what I know doesn’t have fish in it.” I finished two plates by the time Luffy was finally done with all of the other plates on the table. Zoro finished after five plates of food. “So where were you the whole time?” Zoro asked me. “I didn’t see you until the end.” “I was taking a nap, and nobody woke me up.” I crossed my legs under the table. “That’s why I leave you in charge of waking me up.” “Don’t be surprised if I take a nap myself.” “You’d probably wake up before me, so wake me up when you get up.” “I don’t know… I can take long naps.” “So can I.” We stared each other down. The door opened and some Marines came in, causing me to look up at them. “The rumor is, you guys are pirates,” one guy said. I’m guessing he’s the one in charge at the moment. “Is this true?” “Yeah, I just added the second member of my crew,” Luffy answered with a smile. “We appreciate what you did for us, getting rid of that awful tyrant that has been terrorizing our town…However now that we know that you’re pirates, as Marines, we cannot sit idly by and allow you to go about your business.” He fixed his hat while he talked, before looking up at us. “Therefore, you and your crew must leave this town immediately. But out of respect for what you’ve done, we will not report you to headquarters.” The people of the village started to protest outside. Luffy laughed a bit with a grin and stood up. “Well, time to go.” Zoro and I stood up. I put my hands behind my head as I walked to the door. Zoro had his swords over his right shoulder and Luffy was holding a bag of food over his left shoulder. I was the lucky one getting away with not carrying anything. Well, the knives hidden in my shirt don’t count as carrying anything. They’re technically not in my hands. Two small ones are on a black strap around my stomach and the other is a small knife hidden in my cleavage. “Aren’t you part of the crew as well?” the guy asked Koby. Koby had been standing there as we passed him. Zoro and Luffy stopped at the door while I kept walking. “Bye people,” I called over my shoulder. “Luffy, I’ll just be at the boat for whenever you get back.” I continued on and jumped into the boat. Sitting at the front of the ship, cross legged, I faced the village. My long skirt easily covered my legs so I didn’t need to worry about anyone seeing my underwear. Sighing, I leaned back a little bit and stared at the clouds. My gaze only left the clouds when I heard Zoro and Luffy a little while later. “What took you?” I asked. “I had to take care of some things,” Luffy answered as he untied the rope that held our boat to the dock. I saw that he had a few scratches and bruises. He got in a fight of some sort. There’s just the fact I don’t know who he got in a fight with. “Luffy!” Koby called, a little distance away. That woman and girl that gave us food were a little behind him, watching as we left. He saluted. “I can never thank you enough. You’ve done more for me than anyone ever has.” “I’ve never heard of a Marine thanking a pirate before,” Zoro said. “That’s one for the history books.” Luffy and Zoro got into the boat and we set sail. Luffy was waving both his hands. “We’ll meet again Koby! Some day!” Marines gathered on the dock and saluted us. “See ya!” I yawned as Luffy stood at the head of the ship right behind me. “At last our pirate crew finally sets sail!” He held his hat down as the wind blew it. I just moved so I could sit on the sides of my skirt. “I get the feeling some interesting adventures are waiting for us,” Zoro said. “You have no idea,” I stated. Luffy laughed a little. “I’ll be king of the pirates. I know it.” “You seem more than obsessed with this king of the pirates business. Is there some kind of story behind it or any kind of reason at all?” “No. No reason. It’s just…” “Just what?” “I promised someone. A while back. I swore I would gather a crew, find the world’s greatest treasure, and become king of the pirates.” Luffy took his hand off his hat to look forward. “And this straw hat holds the whole story.” Zoro looked up with a small smile. “I see.” “Now!” Luffy shouted. “Let’s go! It’s time for us to set our heading to the Grand Line!” “Alrighty,” I stated, bending my head back to look at my captain and best friend’s back. “Let me just make a huge effort and turn our sail for this little boat with a crew of three people to the Grand Line, which we don’t know which direction it is…” Zoro chuckled. “Luffy, I suggest a few more people. Even if we are strong, it would be better if we had people who could help, such as a cook or a navigator. And a bigger boat might help as well.” “And we need a musician,” Luffy stated. “Musician?” Zoro asked. “All pirates sing!” Luffy shouted happily. I laughed. Shanks and his crew use to always sing. That’s where he got the idea of that from. “You can hold up with the musician for a little while Luffy. I’ll sing every once in a while.” I wasn’t the best singer, but I was at least better than Luffy, and that’s all he cared about. “Can you sing for me?” Luffy asked. “No,” I said with a smile. “You can wait.” Luffy pouted while Zoro laughed. “Vivian!” he whined. “You can wait,” I told him again, waving him off. “But Vi!” “No buts, or I might have to kick yours. You know I can easily send you flying.” He winced a slight bit then went back to facing the front of the ship. I’ve sent him flying quite a few times in the past. Most of the time he had landed on his head. It wasn’t my fault. He shouldn’t have taken my candy.

Because I love you guys, another chapter =^-^= Oh and the speeding of this story is fast up until the Arlong Park arc. Haha, I read snippets of this and realized I haven't read this chapter for a while razz Oh sorry for the discription of Vivian in the first chapter by the way. I suck at describing things, and since nobody knows of Vivian, I needed to make sure I described her and her usual (for the moment) outfit. Her outfit changes after Arlong Park I believe...Oh, I hope I made her hair blue. At first it use to be silver, but I changed it to blue, so if you ever see it saying silver, can you guys tell me and tell me where so I can fix it?
Nami the Navigator
[Vivian’s POV] Luffy was hanging the upper half of his body off the boat. He was groaning about being hungry. “We wouldn’t be hungry if you would’ve saved us some food Luffy,” I mumbled to myself. In all honesty, I let the guys have more of the food. They didn’t know that I had only eaten a single apple and let them have the rest of the food. They needed it more anyway. “When the hell are we gonna reach land anyway?” Zoro asked. Luffy then answered by telling him we were just going on the wind and the waves. It proved he didn’t know how to navigate at all. Neither did I. That didn’t go over well with Zoro. He complained that Luffy wanted to be king of the pirates but didn’t have a single navigational skill. “He’d go where the wind takes him,” I stated. Luffy then asked him about his skills. He was a famous bounty hunter after all. The idiot had set out to find someone, only to get lost. He had no other choice but to hunt pirates to pay for his food and whatnot. I giggled as the two boys continued to argue over such petty things. I mean, yeah, navigation is important, but we’ll get along fine for the moment. If it really comes down to it, I could get the boys some fish to eat. They rocked the boat too much, causing us all to lose our balance. Zoro ended up catching himself before he fell forward. I almost fell off the side of the boat, but I quickly slipped a knife from the strap around my stomach and plunged it into the inner side of the boat. I kept my weight mostly on that and made sure I wasn’t pushed up and over the side, into the water. I managed to pull my upper body from touching the water. Luffy almost went face first into the water, but grabbed the side of the boat with his hands. His hat flew up though. “Oh no, not my Shanks hat,” Luffy said as we all watched the hat fly up into the sail and over. Both boys got up and ran to the other side of the boat. Zoro managed to get the hat and gave it to Luffy, who sat on the floor cross legged, holding it. He was staring at it for a while, probably remembering how he got it from Shanks. They continued talking, but I just tuned them out. I pulled the knife out of the boat and slipped it back into the holster on the strap around my stomach. “Ugh, I’m so hungry,” Zoro complained. “It’s killing me.” “Don’t start with the food issue again or Luffy will start as well.” “Hey look, a bird,” Zoro stated, looking up. “I know, let’s eat it!” Luffy suggested with a huge smile. “Huh?” Zoro asked, turning his attention to Luffy. “How do we catch it?” “Leave that to me. Gum Gum Rocket!” He grabbed the mast and rocketed himself up to the bird. “Hmm.” A smile was on my face. I was calmer now than when all that stuff happened with the Marines and the big woman, so I was back to my normal, always smiling self. I guess finding Luffy again helped me feel better. “This won’t end well.” I heard Zoro mumble something, but I couldn’t tell what it was. I did see Luffy get his head stuck in the bird’s mouth though. “Hey look, I was right.” I was still smiling happily. Zoro’s eyes got wide then he quickly grabbed the oars and started chasing after Luffy. “You moron! What the hell’s going on now?” he shouted. As he continued rowing, we saw some people in the water. They wanted us to save them, but Zoro didn’t want to stop, so he told them if they wanted to be saved, they’d have to grab onto the ship. They tried taking our ship when they managed to get on, saying they were part of Buggy the Clown’s pirate crew. We took care of them though, making them row the boat for us. They apologized afterwards, having bruises and bumps. “Thanks to you three idiots, we lost sight of our friend. So just keep paddling.” I yawned. “We’ll find him.” “How can you be so calm after losing Luffy?” Zoro asked, looking at me. “Well, I always lose him,” I said, smiling. “Besides, he can take care of himself. And if he can’t, he can handle himself until we at least reach him.” “Who’s this Buggy guy?” Zoro asked. “An idiot of a pirate,” I answered with a yawn. “Dresses as a clown. Has a big red nose. Doesn’t like people pointing out the very obvious red nose.” “How do you know about everything?” Zoro asked me. “Well, I may have spent the last nine years on Luffy’s island, but I do my research. What else am I supposed to do while Luffy is eating?” I shrugged. “He takes a while to eat, as you’ve probably noticed.” I crossed my legs and leaned back to stare up at the clouds. “So, as he eats, I read the newspaper and other such things. I’ve heard a lot of different things.” When we finally reached an island, I got off the boat and stretched. I looked back at Zoro. “If you need me, I’ll be walking around the town,” I told him. “Wait!” he called as he got out as well. “Aren’t you going to look for Luffy?” I giggled to myself. “You’ll find him eventually. Besides, if we split up there’s a better chance that one of us will find him, isn’t that right?” “I guess.” “Then it’s settled,” I told him. I pointed in a random direction. “I’ll go that way.” “That’s the ocean,” he stated. I pointed toward somewhere in the town. “I’ll go that way then.” We waved at me and I just walked off. I continued walking until I saw a little white dog that was just sitting in front of a building. On closer inspection, I saw it was a pet shop. I knelt down in front of the dog and pet him. I looked into his eyes. I could see determination in his eyes, along with sadness. “This place is special to you, isn’t it?” I kissed the little dog on the head. “Be lucky you have something special to live for.” I stood up and smiled gently at him. “Good luck.” I walked away and just looked up into the sky. There was an explosion and I saw a cannonball of some sort heading my way quickly, destroying everything in its path. I sighed. “Well crap.” And with that everything got bright then dark. That’s never a good sign. And you know, I always get to miss the fights. >>FF>> I woke up and it was dark around me. I couldn’t see very much, just a little sliver of light from my left side. I moved my arm and punched whatever it was off of me and stretched. I glanced around and shrugged, walking around the area. After a few minutes, I finally found Luffy and Zoro. I walked over to them, scratching my right arm. That rubble made my arm itch…Stupid explosion. “What did I miss?” I asked. At that moment in time Luffy blew up into a balloon and bounced a cannonball back up to a building, managing to blow it up. “Hey that thing blew me up…Why didn’t Luffy get blown up as well?” As everyone else in the area was surprised, Luffy turned to look at me. “Hey Vi! Where’ve you been?” I scratched my arm again. “Um…I was somewhere in this town and someone had to go and blow up a cannonball. So I’ve been out of it for a little while. I just got up maybe five minutes ago.” I put a smile back on my face again. “I am kinda annoyed that rubble was on me though, because now my arm itches.” “That’s because you have a cut on it,” Zoro said, looking at my arm. Taking a glance, I saw he was right. It was a very nice one too. “Hmm…I didn’t notice that…” Then Luffy looked at the building while holding his hat from the wind. “Hey I managed to hit it.” “What the hell kinda monster are you?” a girl around my age, maybe younger, asked Luffy. She had orange hair that reached a little above her shoulders, with brown eyes. She wore a horizontally striped blue and white shirt, with an orange skirt with a white circle on the side. And she had on some sandal type of heeled shoes. Zoro said something and the girl said something again, but I wasn’t paying attention. The clouds were really pretty right now. “I’ll just be at the boat,” I told Luffy. He and Zoro turned to look at me. “Are you even listening to me?” the girl asked Luffy. “Why are you going back to the boat?” Luffy asked. “Well, as much as I’d like to see you fight some guy, which I believe is what is going on here, the clouds just look so pretty.” “You’re leaving because the clouds look pretty?” the girl yelled at me. I smiled at her. “Yeah. It’s just so relaxing you know. And besides, Luffy does all the work for me. I relax when I can.” I stretched before bending down to a crouch. “Because I know sometime in the near future, I’m gonna be in for one hell of a ride. Things are gonna be hectic.” I looked at Luffy. “When that time comes, I know I’ll need your support.” He gave me a thumbs up. “Your hunches are always right. So I know whatever it is, is gonna happen. But I’ll be there for you, like I always have and always will. We’re best friends and crewmates.” I winked at the rest of the people there. “Until I see you guys again.” I pushed my weight and jumped up onto the building next to me. “I’ll be at the boat. Come find me when you win Luffy!” I jumped from roof to roof hearing the girl scream something about us all being monsters or something along those lines. What’s so wrong with watching clouds? Oh wait…She’s talking about jumping onto the building probably. I finally made it to the boat and saw those three idiots next to another boat. I looked at them and they stared at me. “Don’t wake me up. Don’t touch me. Don’t come near our boat.” I smiled as they all nodded. “Glad we all have an understanding. Continue with whatever else you’re doing.” I jumped into our boat and laid down at the part farthest from the dock. I watched the clouds for a few minutes before closing my eyes to think. I don’t know how tired I must’ve been, but I managed to fall asleep. “Why are you so strong Vi?” a ten year old Luffy asked me. “Because Shanks and his crew trained me,” my twelve year old self answered him. “But why did they train you? You’re just a girl.” “Because Benn wanted to make sure I could defend myself in case someone were to try to kidnap me. Shanks agreed with them.” I poked Luffy on the forehead as he drank his milk at the bar. I drank some water. “They only trained me enough to hold my own until someone else were to arrive. Since we’ve come to the island I’ve continued training.” “But you can hold your own against some of Shanks’ crew. Even against Ace.” “Those are the weaker ones,” I told him, sticking my tongue out. “I could never take on Shanks, Ben, Yasopp, or Lucky Roo right now. Maybe someday in the future I can. And that’s because I train with Ace sometimes.” Luffy nodded his head. “You’re strong right now. You’ll be able to do it.” “She’s an amazing girl Luffy,” Lucky Roo called to Luffy. “You’d be lucky to land her as a girlfriend.” “Although, if her strength is anything like it is now, she’ll be a rocket in bed,” Shanks joked. Both Luffy and I blushed a dark red, causing Shanks’ crew to laugh at our embarrassment. “Lucky’s right though,” Yasopp stated. “Vivian is very special.” “Why’s she so special?” Luffy asked. “One day you’ll find out Luffy,” Shanks chuckled. “But I wanna know now!” “You’ll find out when the time’s right Luffy,” I told him, a gentle smile in place of the normal happy one. “I have a feeling it won’t be for a while though.” “You’ll be waiting a while then,” Ben said, sitting on Luffy’s other side. “Why’s that?” “Well, with the time we’ve known Vivian, any time she’s had a feeling, its come true. She’s never once been wrong.” Luffy turned to me with wide eyes. “You’ve never been wrong once?” I shook my head. “Don’t worry about it!” I heard. “Take it easy!” “What’d you do Luffy? Huh? Don’t tell me you left that bag of treasure back there?” “Yeah.” “That bag was worth about five million berries you idiot!” “That’s right. And they’re gonna need that money to repair their destroyed town.” “But that was my treasure jerk! Do you know how hard I worked to steal it?” I heard some struggling and decided it was time to get up. “Ugh, who’s yelling?” I asked, sitting up and opening my eyes. We were already sailing. Zoro was against the side of the boat just relaxing. Luffy was also against the side, but he was being pushed toward the water by the girl in the boat next to us. The same girl that I saw in that town. I blinked. “Who’re you?” They stopped and looked at me. “That’s Nami,” Luffy said, pointing at her. “She’s our navigator.” I nodded to the girl. “My name’s Vivian. I’m Luffy’s babysitter.” “Hey!” Luffy shouted. “Viv!” I smiled. “It’s true. But other than that, I guess I’m just here to beat people up when I’m needed. If I’m not needed, I’ll just back off and relax somewhere.” “You sound like Zoro,” Luffy stated. “Yeah well, if the shoe fits, take it.” I giggled a little. “But seriously, what’re you good at?” Nami asked. “She’s strong,” Luffy answered. “I have a fairly good memory…but that’s comparing it to Luffy’s, which isn’t saying much.” “She doesn’t like the water,” Luffy continued. “Devil fruit?” Nami asked. I shook my head. “I just avoid the water if I can. It doesn’t bother me if it gets on my hair or something, but I don’t like it on my body.” “What about baths?” “That’s the only time I let water get on me.” “Weird.” “I’m a decent spy,” I stated. “What do you mean by that?” Zoro asked. “Nobody ever expects such an innocent and frail looking girl to be able to fight. So when it comes to gathering information, they wouldn’t even have a second thought to me being on a pirate crew. That and I’m very convincing. I can put on an injured girl act, get inside a building, pretend to be asleep, and get information that way.” “Have you done that before?” Nami asked. I laughed a bit, rubbing the back of my head. “Yeah I have actually. A long time ago with a friend of mine. They were trying to get information and I helped them.” I looked at Luffy. “And with Shanks and them, they had agreed I could help. I let myself get kidnapped and pretended to be grateful that I was saved from some ruthless pirates and that I would like to join them, even if it was to cook and clean.” Another laugh escaped my lips. “You’d be surprised what some people would tell a new person.” “You weren’t even eleven when we met though,” Luffy said. “Yeah…I was with Shanks for almost a year. I think I’ve gotten much better at it, but I haven’t really put it to the test yet.” “Want to try it out at the next island we get to then?” Nami asked, a sparkle in her eye. “We can see if you can get some money.” I stood up and jumped into her boat to put my arm around her shoulders. “Nami…I think we’ll be great friends.” We both grinned. “This can’t be good,” Zoro stated. “Nothing good could come of this,” I stated, a big smile on my face. “Nothing at all…well for you guys anyways.” Nami and I laughed. “Oh and I can fix your hat for you later Luffy,” Nami said. “For a fee.” I nudged her in the ribs. “It’s his hat. Let him have that for free at least.” I lowered my voice. “Just double whatever Zoro might owe in the future.” She grinned and agreed to fix Luffy’s hat for free.

Am I greedy
To want you for myself?
Am I needy
To not want to be by myself?
The pain-of knowing there’s already
Someone for you, who’s probably pretty
Meant to be
You and she
Not me…
The rain-slowly dripping
Down my face
Because I know she
Is taking my place
Could it ever be
You and me?
No…
How could that be?
I can’t fill the gaping hole
You’ve drilled into my soul
Penetrated my heart
No mending, bending it till it breaks
These feelings, sending me
Over the edge, past the gate
Beyond my reach, leeching my soul
Till there’s nothing left
But that gaping hole.
And the only one, to restore
Breath to my lungs
One heart to mend another
When we’re apart
I’m numb
But when we’re together
I become
Light as a feather,
I’m greedy
I’m needy
I need you
Do you need me?
Birds of a feather
Flying together
No matter the weather
Wait
I awake
I realize my mistake
These feelings aren’t fake
But these things are
You and me
Will never be
Because she
Remains…
In your mind
I know its true,
I’m not blind
Me and you…no
She and you
I notice
As my sight comes back into focus
I choke, my heart caught in my throat
Can’t walk-knees drop
Hit the floor
Can’t talk
My heart skips a beat
Then stops

Haha, it'll get much better as it continues on. I just finished writing the Alabasta Arc and I loved that chapter xD >.> I can't say anything right now or I might ruin it, but I love Vivian's character with one of the other characters. Her personality is just so much fun <3
Chapter 4-Let There Be Another [Vivian’s POV] After Kuro’s crew heard him say “one minute” they started freaking out. Maybe it’s one minute until dinner and if they’re late, then they don’t get any food…I probably shouldn’t tell them I took some of it. They’d probably get sad about it. There was a lot of commotion though for that minute. But once it was over… “Time’s up. You knew the deal.” Kuro held his claws out at his sides. From the top of the hill it was him facing down the hill, Zoro facing down the hill, that fat cat guy facing Zoro, that guy with the heart glasses right behind him facing down the hill, then Luffy facing the top of the hill. I was somewhere in there, just kind of looking at everyone out of boredom. I was more against the wall though, not in the middle all epically like the rest of the guys. Luffy, being Luffy, looked up at Kuro. “Hey wait…Why is that shady butler here?” “It’s that kid,” Kuro stated. “Didn’t he die falling off that cliff?” He had an evil smile on his face. “Nice trick.” He leaned more on the front of his feet, lifting the heels of his feet slightly off the ground. It looked as though he were going to do something, but decided against it at the moment. He glanced behind him then held his hands up. “Don’t ever sneak up on me.” Usopp, who had been on the ground, pushed himself up and ran to Kuro. “Unless you want to die!” “Kaya!” Usopp shouted, grabbing Kaya and protecting her from Kuro’s claws. He had been aiming to cut Kaya, but had cut Usopp’s back since he had used himself as a shield for her. I ran up the hill and stood between Kuro and Usopp. Kaya, who had a long coat on over her nightgown, was looking at Usopp worriedly. “No! Usopp! Are you okay?” I heard the strain in Usopp’s voice as he asked, “Kaya, what are you doing here?” “Oh Usopp. I’m so sorry. I don’t know how you’ll ever forgive me. I just couldn’t believe it. That Klahadore’s a scheming, murdering pirate.” “Never mind that. Why’re you here? Kaya, your life is in danger. I told you to run somewhere safe.” I glanced over my shoulder a little bit and saw tears in Kaya’s eyes. “I won’t! You’re still here fighting! I won’t run!” Usopp looked at her surprised. “You fought for me after I treated you so badly. Look at you. You’re barely alive, but you’re still so brave. I just-” “This is no place for a lady,” Kuro stated. I coughed, hated not being counted as a lady. But then again, who can blame him for that. I’m not exactly very lady-like. “Madame, please leave.” Kaya’s face turned into one of pain and anger. The pain probably came from the betrayal. “Please stop. Don’t do this.” She turned her head to Kuro. “Stop! Stop this right now! Klahadore!” She stood up, holding her shoulder. “I know what you’re up to. Merry already told me about everything.” I heard the mumbles of everyone down the slope. They were too far for me to actually hear what they were saying though. “Klahadore, please. If you want my fortune, you can have it,” Kaya continued. “Take it all and leave this village right now. I’m begging you.” I backed up a bit, to be closer to Kaya, and held my knife in front of me in a defensive position. “I will gladly accept your fortune, Miss Kaya. Thank you.” He pushed his glasses up with the heel of his palm. “But I want more. You see, simply acquiring wealth isn’t enough. More than anything else, what I want is peace.” “You want peace,” Kaya repeated. Kuro’s eyes seemed to water in happiness. “Yes. Just peace. Peace of mind. It’s simple really. I’ve spent the last three years earning the trust of the entire village. And to be honest, I’ve found this new sense of tranquility quite comforting. When my plan comes to fruition, I will live with this sublime peace of mind.” Kaya backed up. “Yes.” He spread his arms out wide. “The glorious comfort of a peaceful life.” He crossed his arms in front of him, as though hugging himself. “Will be mine for forever and ever.” He held one of his hands out in the direction of the slope. “In short, these pirates are coming!” He looked back at Kaya, pointing at her. “And you…will leave your fortune to me and die.” He had a dark look in his eyes. “Miss Kaya. These things will happen.” Kaya was scared. “No…You can’t. It just can’t be.” She pulled a gun out of the inside of her jacket. Usopp grabbed her ankle. “Run away Kaya. It’s no use talking to him. Please, get out of here.” “You’re not Klahadore. No...You’re not!” She held the gun with both her hands, facing Klahadore. I stood in front of her. If she were to shoot him, and land a hit, he’d be angry with her. That would complicate things, since he’d want to kill her before he took her fortune. And Luffy wouldn’t want her to be killed, so I’d protect her. All of this extra work is such a hassle. Ah well, what can I do about it? “Kaya,” Usopp mumbled, surprised by her actions. Kaya moved in front of me. “Leave here. Right now. Never come back.” I saw that she shook as she held the gun. Kaya was afraid to shoot him. She didn’t want to kill anyone, let alone someone she trusted so much for years. “Oh?” Kuro asked. “You point a gun at me?” “Stop it! Just leave! Go!” Kuro blinked. “Yes…I see.” He closed his eyes. “You’re all grown up now. So much has happened in the last three years. Miss Kaya…Don’t you remember the things we went through?” He took off one of his clawed gloves. “We spent so much time together. Even before your dear sweet parents passed away. You were more than my master.” He pushed his glasses up with the heel of his now ungloved hand. “You were my best friend. So much time…So many memories. Together we suffered, and together we rejoiced. Like family.” He had a smile on his face, as though he were truly happy. “Klahadore,” Kaya whispered. “I took you on shopping trips to the city, I looked after you so diligently when you were ill, and we use to talk for hours and hours.” Tears started falling down Kaya’s cheeks. “Kaya. Listen to me. I was devoted to you…for so long…For so very long.” He grabbed the gun. “I endured it. I quietly suffered so that today I could end your life and take everything that I deserve.” He pulled the gun out of Kaya’s hand, not that she put up any effort to stop him. “I, who was once the feared and respected Captain Kuro, had to bow and humble myself before some snot nosed little girl. It went against every fiber of my being.” Kaya was trying to hold back more tears, but they just continued. I moved to be slightly in front of her again, and let her grab what was left of the back of my shirt. I was going to be there for her. Kuro dropped the gun. Thankfully, it didn’t shoot when it fell. “Damn you,” Usopp mumbled. “Can you understand the depths of these daily insults?” Kuro asked. “Can you understand the rage of transgressions against my pride!” Usopp, even though injured, grabbed the gun and stood up, facing it to Kuro. “Kuro!” I just barely managed to see it, but just as Usopp was shooting a bullet at him, he did a certain side step kind of move. The bullet never hit him. He slipped his claw glove on as he moved. “Thank you for reminding me.” He moved his claws so they’d circle Usopp’s head. His palm was behind Usopp’s head, but not touching it. “Usopp, I owe you for hitting me. Let’s get even.” “Oh no. Usopp.” I glanced again at Kaya. The poor girl had to endure so much stress. No wonder she was sick. “If I recall, you hit me as hard as you could.” As he said this, Kuro used his claws to pull off the bandage on his cheek. “Right?” Usopp and my attention went to the slope, where Luffy’s hand was coming up fast. He managed to hit Kuro away from Usopp. “Hmm, I think Luffy landed that hit,” I said, a smile coming back onto my face. “Well that’s nice.” “Why are you so calm about this?” Usopp asked me. I tilted my head to the side a bit. “Well…Luffy’s here. And he’s taking action. Why should I be worried now?” “If he hates getting hit that much,” Luffy stated with a grin. “He’s about to have a really bad day.” Hmm…it seems as though Luffy surprised everyone with being able to hit Kuro. Or is it the fact he stretches? Maybe it’s both. All of a sudden three kids came out of nowhere. “The Usopp pirates have arrived!” All three of them hit Kuro on the face with something or other. “Well s**t,” I sighed. “This won’t end well.” Usopp and Kaya tried getting them to stop. The kids weren’t listening obviously. I shrugged. “Might as well have some fun.” If I had something to do with this, he’d go after me instead of the kids. I wiggled from Kaya’s grip and jumped over the kids in a flip and twist, to land on Kuro’s stomach, facing the kids. I sat down cross legged and watched him get hit in the face over and over. “Hey, hit him right there,” I told one, pointing to his face. All of this scared everyone else in the area, as though Kuro were a killer or something. They’re such worrywarts. When they finally stopped, they were looking down at him, telling him they’d let him off without much more brutality. I didn’t know kids their age knew words like that. But then again, I’m basing this off of Luffy, and everyone knows he’s a lost cause. As the kids talked to Usopp, I continued sitting on Kuro, watching him. He didn’t move for a little bit. I had actually begun to think he was dead, till I realized I was going up and down from him breathing. That was a Luffy moment right there. His eyes moved to look at Usopp and them, making me smile. I leaned over and looked in his face. I poked his cheek. “So you’re alive then?” He quickly got up, making me fall on my back. I just stood back up and brushed the dirt off my skirt. Kuro pushed his glasses up, only for them to break. Hmm, I don’t think he’ll like that very much. I let a giggle out as the kids screamed their heads off. He walked from behind the kids, to where Usopp was. He went to kick him, but I jumped in the way, holding his foot with one hand. I looked up to him with a smile on my face. “He’s already injured enough, wouldn’t you say? I believe it would be very mean to hurt an injured person.” He went to swipe at me, making me let go of his leg and dodge to the side, that way he wouldn’t completely shred what was left of my clothes. He took that to his advantage and kicked Usopp, who flew a few feet away, a little bit down the slope. “Oh now that was just mean,” I told him. He ignored me and looked down the slope at Luffy. “That hurt.” I’ll just go ahead and assume it was about the punch. I haven’t said anything about his outfit, so it wouldn’t be my words that hurt him. Ah, he’s such a baby. “My my. That’s such a strange technique you’ve developed there. Tell me something. Do you have powers from eating the Devil Fruit?” Luffy smirked, from all the way down the slope. “Yep. I’m a rubber man.” Everyone seemed to spazz about that. Is it that strange to eat a Devil Fruit? Oh wait never mind, I forgot it’s not as common here. “Jango!” Kuro called. The guy who had stepped on my back earlier answered. I had wondered what his name was. “I can handle the boy. You take care of Miss Kaya like we planned.” He held his claws in front of him. “Have her write her butler into her will. Then kill her.” “Hmm,” I said, my hand on my chin. “I’m pretty sure that’s a bad thing.” “As for the kids…They’re an eyesore. Eliminate them.” He glanced at me. “And the girl as well.” He rubbed one of his hands. “She was an annoyance last night.” “Good luck with that,” I stated. “Besides, I get that a lot.” I winked. “I’m on it,” Jango stated, walking up the slope. Zoro held his sword out to the side, blocking Jango’s path. “Stop right there. You wanna get to them, you’re gonna have to make it through me first.” Jango said something to the big cat guy, who started fighting with Zoro. When he had tried to stomp on Zoro, he started breaking up the ground, therefore also breaking up some parts of the ledge around the slope. Luffy, Kuro, and I were the only calm ones. Kuro and Luffy were staring at each other. I was watching the clouds. “Usopp Pirates!” I suddenly heard, making me glance back at Usopp. He ordered those little kids to keep Kaya safe. After the speech, I picked up Kaya and threw her over my shoulder. She yelped in surprise. “Hey Luffy, I’ll just go with them. It’ll keep them safer. Are you okay with that?” I heard him laugh a bit. “Sure. But you have to tell me what happened to your shirt as soon as you get back.” I started walking. “Sure Captain.” I glanced at the kids behind me. “Now come on you three. I need someone to lead the way.” They were surprised but ran into the forest after a heartfelt little speech. I ran to keep up once they finally got in front of me. “You don’t have to carry me Vivian,” Kaya said. “It’s better for you this way. If you were to have to run as you are, you’d get even sicker. Besides, you weigh almost nothing to me, so it’s fine.” After a while of running the kids started talking. “Onion, is that weird hypnotist guy still behind us?” the one with green hair asked. The one with glasses answered. “I dunno. I can’t see him anymore.” Well, I figure out one kid’s name. “Let’s make sure and lose him for good.” “There’s no way that nut job can catch up to us in our own forest,” the one with purple hair stated. Onion assured Kaya that they’d keep her safe. In my head I was stating that I’d keep the kids safe. It’s like babysitting, except I have to make sure they’re not killed, instead of just making sure they don’t wreck the house. It’s much easier to do than Luffysitting though. It was a chore all on its own to keep him in my sight. After a few years, I got the hang of it. Well…that and he drags me everywhere with him. All of a sudden, the trees on our right side were cut. “Hmm,” I stated. “I’m pretty sure a bird didn’t do this.” The kids hid, so I put Kaya down and let her do the same. I just sat on the ground next to them. If my eyes were correct, I believe those trees were cut with disks of some sort. I can’t be sure exactly, but I’m almost positive they were chakrams. “We can do this the easy way, or I can just level this entire forest!” I sighed and looked at the kids. “Hey, I trust you three kiddies. Take care of Kaya, kay?” “Where are you going?” the one with purple hair asked. “To be a distraction,” I stated, smiling. “You’ll be killed,” the one with green hair stated. “Hmm,” I hummed. “Maybe if he’s lucky.” “How can you be so calm about this?” Kaya asked me. I stood up and jumped over the log they were hiding behind. “Because that’s how I am. Why be worried when I know it’ll all be okay?” I started walking toward him. “Now you guys run away.” “Well well well,” Jango said, looking at me. “What do we have here?” I looked down at myself. “Hmm, I think it’s a girl. I can’t be sure though. I was always bad at guessing those types of things.” I twirled around and looked at him. “What do you think?” “Cut the jokes and die!” he shouted. He threw what I now knew was a chakram at me. I bent back and quickly did a back flip. Jango swiped at me with the other chakram until his other one came back. Then I had to start dodging two. As he tried hitting me, he talked. I answered on each dodge. “How are you able to dodge all of my hits?” “Practice.” “How are you able to still move as though nothing were wrong with those cuts on your back?” “Practice.” “I don’t believe you.” I did a split as he swiped at me with both chakrams. “Yes, I know.” He cut a few of the ends off my hair. Now that wasn’t very nice. “That tattoo. I’ve seen it before.” He kicked my side, making me hit a tree. “It’s not a tattoo,” I told him, sitting up. Before I could do anything, he hit me on both sides of the neck with his chakrams. I had managed to grab his arms before he completely sliced my head off, but he had gotten far enough into the skin for it to actually hurt me. I coughed, making my neck hurt worse since he was still trying to push the chakrams into my neck. Using as much strength as I could, I kicked him in the stomach. The pressure against my neck was finally let up, but now I was bleeding. Pushing my weight up, I finally managed to stand up. This is the first time in a while that someone managed to do something that hurt. That’s probably because it’s my neck. Out of all things, my neck was my weakest point, mostly because there was no way to strengthen my muscles there. “So I see I found your weakness,” Jango wheezed, holding his stomach as he stood up. He walked over to me. “You can strengthen your body, but your neck is vulnerable.” He smirked as he punched my throat. I fell to the ground, holding my neck. It was hard for me to breath, since there wasn’t enough oxygen going to my lungs. “That should keep you down for good.” Black dots started to invade my vision as Jango started walking away from me. Oh I hate that guy. Just wait…till… I lost consciousness before I could even finish my own thoughts. >>FF>> I woke up having to cough. “When I see that guy I’ll have to pay him back,” I grumbled, before coughing again. I rubbed my neck, feeling the bandages wrapped around it. Someone had to have bandaged me after seeing those marks on my neck. They wouldn’t exactly let me bleed out all over the place. “Vivian!” Luffy shouted. I opened my eyes and saw Nami’s face looking down on me. My head had been laying in her lap. Sitting up, I saw Zoro and Luffy on the other side of the table. “What happened?” I asked, sitting up then turning so I was facing the same way as Nami. “We were hoping you could tell us,” Zoro said. “Zoro found you while looking for us again!” Luffy shouted, putting his hands on the table. “I was so scared! I’ve never seen anyone beat you!” “I’m only human Luffy,” I told him, grabbing a piece of meat from Luffy’s plate. I knew this one wasn’t fish. “Some people are bound to beat me.” “But but but-” “Luffy,” I stated. “I will lose to people, just as you have lost to people. Shanks has lost to people. The Pirate King lost to people. It happens to everyone.” “They lost to people as well?” Luffy asked, eyes wide. I smiled, happy that he was so enthusiastic about his heroes. “I’m sure they’ve lost when they were just starting out.” “Here you are,” I heard from behind us. From the voice, it had to be Kaya. “Hello there Miss,” Luffy said, holding a hand up in greeting. “Are you alright being out of bed?” Nami asked, turning to talk to her. Kaya reached our table. “Yes. I think now I can truly start recovering. You see, my sickness this past year was caused by the mental shock of losing both my parents. And Usopp’s friendship helped me start getting better.” She had a smile on her face. “I can’t stay in bed forever you know. You’ve all done so much for me. I can’t thank you enough. I’ve prepared a present for you from the bottom of my heart to show you how grateful I am for everything you’ve done here. I’d be honored if you’d accept it.” She led us out of the restaurant that we had been in and to her mansion. “I do apologize for deceiving you,” I told Kaya in a low voice. A smile was on my face once again, even though I was in pain. I pointed at Nami. “She had asked me to see if I could find a ship somewhere. I knew they were in town somewhere, because Nami had left a note saying they were there with Usopp. I just didn’t know where.” “It’s alright,” she answered. “There was no harm done.” “Well, in all honesty, I did leave a mark on Kuro, but that’s not important.” When we finally reached the beach, we saw our present. Everyone was happy about it. “A real caravel,” Nami said, holding her hands together. “Are you actually giving this to us?” Luffy asked. Well, it was more like a shouted question to be perfectly honest. “No Luffy, it’s a tease gift. She told you you’re getting it, but she’s not actually giving it to you,” I mumbled, making Zoro chuckle. “Mhmm,” Kaya answered, not hearing my comment. “As a token of my appreciation.” Merry started explaining some stuff about the ship, which went in one ear and out the other for Luffy and I. I was looking up at the pretty clouds instead. The only thing I heard was that the ship was called the “Going Merry.” It’s kind of catchy…kind of…Well we’re going to be a weird crew, I know that much, so a weird ship name works out just as well as any other name. I think it fits us much better than some scary sounding name, like the “Bloody Hound” or something like that. And besides, the name fit the design of the ship anyway. Everyone continued talking, so I just walked onto the ship, jumped onto the railing, and laid down. My legs were on either side of it, one actually hanging off the ship. The material of my skirt was loose enough, so it fell and covered what needed to be covered. If I was wearing the skirt Nami wore, then I wouldn’t be able to lay down like this. I turned my head to face the slope when I heard yelling. Turns out Usopp was rolling down the hill with his backpack. Although, I think the backpack was rolling down the hill with Usopp instead. So he continued his roll until both Luffy and Zoro held one of their feet out. They managed to stop the rolling ball of doom. The fact that their feet were planted into Usopp’s face is not the issue though. I giggled at Usopp’s pain. After that was all said and done, he and Kaya started talking. He had decided to go out to sea finally. He was trying to say goodbye to us, but everyone just told him to get on. “Don’t try to fight them,” I called to him. “It’s a lost cause. Now get on the ship.” We set sail with our new crewmate, Usopp, and ship, the Going Merry.

And another chapter up. This is a filler chapter (following the episode of course. I believe it's when Zoro is dreaming about his past or something.) Anyways, keep an eye out for me and make sure I didn't mess up Zoro's name. I had Zolo at one point cause I was reading fanfiction and that's how they wrote it, and I hadn't realized until after that I had unintionally wrote it the same way. So let me know if I wrote Zolo and where it is (I think it's mostly fixed though)
Chapter 5- A Random Day [Vivian’s POV] It was a boring day. Usopp was pretending to be a pirate captain commanding his crew, Zoro was sleeping, Luffy was painting, and Nami was reading a map. I was sitting on the very end of the sheep’s head of the boat, swinging my legs back and forth as I watched the pretty clouds. My sandals were on the ship, since I knew I’d more than likely lose them by dangling my feet off the ship. “Geeze, I really expected you guys to be more lively than this,” Usopp stated. I laid back so I could lean my head back to look at Usopp upside down. “This is a lively day,” I joked. “I finished!” Luffy yelled, holding up his finished product. I maneuvered my body so I could lay on my stomach facing the crew. My feet were up in the air, crossed. Luffy held up what looked to be a pirate flag. Luffy, having no artistic talent, made it look horrible. “Look! Our pirate mark. Now that Usopp’s joined, we got five people. That’s almost a whole crew. I think it’s about time we got our own flag.” “Try not to hurt his feelings too bad on your opinions,” I suggested to the crew. “Uh Luffy?” Zoro asked. “Is that really going to be our mark?” Luffy just smiled his really big smile with a slight laugh. “What do you think? Nice huh?” The crew was in front of the flag, so I did a flip off of my spot and walked over to sit on the railing behind them, to look at the flag. Luffy had had his back facing my previous direction when he was showing Nami, Usopp, and Zoro the flag. “Our mark should be scary. It should strike fear into our enemy’s hearts,” Zoro stated. “If our enemies were terrified infants, then this would be perfect,” Nami stated. Usopp started with his bragging. “You guys really shoulda told me about this. Maybe you didn’t know this about me, but I am an artist.” “Does that mean you can draw?” Luffy asked. No, it meant he could smell things miles away. Of course, silly Luffy. Artist has art in the name. Therefore it has something or other to do with art. “When it comes to painting, I’m in a league of my own,” Usopp bragged, pointing to himself. I’ve been drawing graffiti for fifty years straight.” “Woah,” Luffy stated, amazed. “Fifty years?” “That would mean he’s an old man by now,” Zoro stated. “Which would give him five or six grandchildren,” Nami added. “And I don’t see ‘em.” “That is so cool,” Luffy said. “He must use some kind of cream to prevent wrinkles,” I added, joining in the fun. “Hey,” Usopp stated, probably getting tired of us already. All of us just ignored him after and went back to our own things, me watching the clouds again. After a while, Usopp stood up, a paintbrush in his hand, getting my attention back. “Behold. A priceless work of pirate art. Tada!” He held up a flag that would be for his pirate crew, not Luffy’s. I have a feeling Usopp will keep on with saying he’s captain. Oh well, it ought to keep things fun. “Looks a lot like you on that flag,” Luffy stated. “Jerk,” both Zoro and Luffy stated, before they both hit Usopp behind the head. I giggled. I love these guys. “So, how do ya like this one?” Usopp asked. This time he had painted the right kind of flag. This one had a smiling Jolly Roger with a straw hat on its head. “Wow, that’s actually pretty good Usopp,” Nami said, leaning over it to look at his work. “Yeah, keep it,” Luffy stated. “That’s the one.” He had his hands on his hips and was looking at Usopp’s finished work. Zoro was at the head of it, sitting cross legged. “So we finally settled on it? This is gonna be our mark?” I was sitting on the railing behind Luffy. I was higher up though, so I could see the flag. “Sure is,” Luffy answered. He pointed up at the sail. “Hey Usopp. Draw one on the sail too.” Usopp looked up at the sail. “Right.” Who knows how long later, we had our sail painted. “Okay,” Luffy stated, looking at the sail. “It’s all done.” He had his hands on his hips. “Now the Going Merry has everything she could possibly need.” “Except a cook, doctor, smart captain,” I started listing off on my fingers, laying on the sheep’s head again, my head facing the ship, my feet facing the water. My shoes were once again on the deck behind the sheep’s head, that way I wouldn’t lose them in the water. When Luffy would want to sit down on the sheep’s head, I’ll just switch to laying on the rails around the ship. Zoro had the floor, I had the rails. It was our own silent agreement. I closed my eyes, enjoying the feel of the wind. Well, I was enjoying it until I heard thunder and Luffy asking, “Are we going the right way?” I moved my feet to be on either side of the sheep’s head and sat up, looking ahead of us. Dark clouds were heading right for us, or we were heading for them. It could be both. I got off of the sheep’s head and grabbed my shoes before heading into the ship. “Where are you going?” Nami asked. I winced a bit before giving her a smile. “Uh, I don’t like rain that much.” “At all actually,” Luffy told her. “Why’s that?” Usopp asked. Luffy shrugged. “I’ve never seen her in the rain once. If she was anywhere around me and it looked like it would start raining, she’d either run into the nearest building, or she’d disappear from my sight.” “Uh, sorry about that,” I told Luffy, running into the ship and down to the girls’ quarters. >>FF>> Over an hour later, Nami came into our room. “Hey, we’ve docked at an island. Do you want to come?” I shook my head. “You guys can go on ahead. I’ll stay behind with the ship and take a nap or something.” She sighed. “Okay. We’ll probably be gone for a while.” I smiled. “I’m not Usopp. I’ll be fine alone for a while.” She laughed and nodded. “Okay. See you when we get back.” “See you. And have fun for me,” I told her, sticking my tongue out. She rolled her eyes and left the room. I waited another twenty minutes before going to the door that led out to the deck. I opened the door and saw that there were puddles on the deck and it was still raining. Sighing, I headed back to the girls’ quarters and grabbed some clothes. “Now is as good a time as any to take a bath. Nobody’s here so they won’t need the bathroom.” >>FF>> An hour later and I had taken my bath and gotten dry. I went back to Nami’s and my shared room and laid on my bed. I was back in my normal outfit of a blue shirt and silver skirt. The cut up shirt that I wore on Usopp’s island had been thrown away though. So this shirt was slightly different, being a darker color blue, ocean blue. My blue flip flops were next to the door. I grabbed a book Nami had gotten at Usopp’s village and laid down on my stomach on my bed. I set the book on my pillow, open, and started reading. I had actually managed to finish the whole book before the crew came back onto the ship. I opened the door onto the deck to see it wasn’t raining anymore, but there were still puddles on the deck. The sun obviously hadn’t dried the puddles yet. I closed the door and went back to the room to relax on the bed. Another half hour later and Nami came into the room again. “It’s stopped raining, why are you still in here?” I turned my eyes from the ceiling above me to her face. “Oh, there’s still water on the deck.” I said it with a smile, as though it were completely natural for a pirate who was always so close to the water to not want to touch water at all. She sat on her bed and watched me. “Why are you so scared of water? I mean, you’re always laying on the railing and sheep’s head, where you can easily fall off of the ship and into the water.” I smiled and looked back up to the roof. “That’s something I can’t tell you right now.” “Luffy doesn’t know, does he?” she asked. I shook my head. “Nope. Only a certain few does.” “Why not?” “It’s a secret I’d rather keep to myself for now. I’ll let everyone know when the time comes,” I told her. “But until then, nobody else can know.” “Why are you keeping this such a secret? Is it really that bad?” “Oh it’s not bad,” I told her. “Not at all. It’s actually very interesting.” “Really?” she asked. I nodded. I turned my gaze back to her. “Hmm…” She tilted her head to the side a little in confusion. “What?” “Well, I just have this feeling,” I told her, looking her in the eyes. “That somehow you guys are gonna figure it out soon enough.” “How soon?” she asked, crossing her legs. I shrugged. “I don’t know really. Within the next few weeks? I’m not sure. It’s just this feeling. Like how sometimes people have that feeling that they know something’s gonna happen. That’s the same feeling I have…and my assumptions are normally correct.” She stayed quiet for a few minutes, in which I guess she was trying to find something to talk about. “Your tattoos…” “They’re not tattoos,” I started. “They’re birthmarks. I have three in total.” “I’ve only ever seen two,” she said. “Where’s the third?” I sat up, moved my feet to be off my bed, and pulled my shirt off. Over my heart was one last raindrop, the same color as the other two, but smaller than the one on my hand. “I’ve never seen anything like it,” Nami said, awed. I nodded, slipping my shirt back on. “It’s something everyone on my island use to have.” “‘Use to?’” “Everyone on my island was murdered,” I told Nami with a sigh. I moved my legs apart and rested my elbows on my knees, letting my hands fall to rest in the space between. “Everyone?” I nodded my head, looking at Nami. “My aunts, uncles, brother, sister, mother, father, neighbors…Everyone.” “But I thought you and Luffy-” “Grew up on the same island?” I asked. Nami nodded. “We did. A friend of ours found me a few days after the massacre, on the verge of death and crying. I stayed with him around a year before he left me with a friend of his. And that’s how I met Luffy. We’ve known each other around nine years.” “If you don’t mind me asking, how old are you?” “Nineteen. I’m two years older than Luffy, and since we’ve become friends, I’ve been watching over him. I’m like his older sister, so I have to watch out for him and keep him out of trouble if I can.” I let a smile cross my lips again. This one not a happy-go-lucky smile, but a gentle smile. “I’d take a hit to the heart if it meant Luffy could live out his dream.” “You’d die for Luffy?” Nami asked. I looked her in the eyes. “I’d give anything to allow Luffy to achieve his dream.” “Anything…” Nami said, as though tasting the word on her tongue. “Yes Nami, anything. Even my life. I have nothing to live for, while he has everything to live for. All dreams require sacrifice.” I glanced to the door. “Just don’t let him know that. He’d obviously try to stop me if he knew anything about it.” I laughed a bit. “He protects his friends and those he counts family. Everyone Luffy will get and already has on this crew he counts as his friends. And also his family.” I looked up at the ceiling with a smile. “They’re my family as well. I’d do anything for them.” Another laugh escaped my lips. “I guess Luffy rubbed off on me more than I thought. No matter what, I’d follow my new family. I’d protect them. I’d guide them. I’ll do anything.” “You barely even know me,” Nami said, sounding sad. “How can you trust me?” She was looking down at her feet. “Luffy trusts you.” Her head snapped up and I saw her eyes widen. “You trust me only because Luffy trusts me?” “Luffy has very good judgment of character. I trust who he trusts for the most part. That, and by the look in your eyes.” “My eyes?” she asked, putting her right hand up to her face to touch near her eye. “No matter what façade you put up, I can see past it. You truly aren’t a bad person. I know you won’t hurt us, so what’s there for me not to trust?” “How do you know that what you see isn’t a façade?” I put my hands on my knees and looked at Nami, not blinking. “Don’t think I can’t tell. Luffy’s an idiot, and doesn’t see things. I’ve spent nine years becoming stronger and wiser to protect him.” “You have no weakness then,” she said. “You have the brains and the brawns.” I stood up and grabbed another book from Nami’s bookshelf, putting back the other one I had grabbed earlier. “I wouldn’t say I have no weakness. In all honesty, Luffy has it easier. He’s just unable to swim.” “You’re afraid of water though,” Nami said, thinking about it. “Any kind of water it seems.” “Ah, the water…” I said, trailing off. I didn’t continue. “I’m going to go check on the guys,” Nami told me after a few minutes, realizing I didn’t want to continue that sentence. She left the room, leaving me alone to my thoughts. It would be nice to be able to swim all the time in the water. Maybe I can swim at the next island or something. “I wonder where our next stop will be,” I said to myself as I turned a page in the book. “I could use some different form of entertainment besides doing this.” I continued reading, listening to Luffy make noise up on the deck. “Vivian!” Luffy shouted, coming down to the girls’ cabin. “We dried the deck and it’s not raining! Can you come out now?” I stood up and opened the door to see Luffy standing there with a big smile on his face. “You sound like you’re asking a parent for permission for their kid to come out,” I told him, holding the now closed book in my hand. “Can you though?” he asked. “It’s dry. I know you hate the water, so I asked Usopp to help me so you could come up on the deck with us.” I smiled at him. “Just let me put this book away and I’ll come find you guys.” He shouted happily and ran up the hall to go back up on deck. I giggled at his childish behavior and put the book away. Doing as I said I would, I headed back up on deck to find that it had indeed been dried so I could come up. “Vi!” Luffy shouted. “I missed you!” “You just saw me,” I pointed out with a smile. Taking a quick step to my left, Luffy missed hitting me in a flying hug and ended up falling through the still open door. “So how was your visit to that island?” I asked everyone, sitting on the floor by the mast. Zoro was next to the railing, so the floor around the mast was mine for the moment. “We met some guy stuck in a box,” Luffy said, running out of the door and tackling me in a hug. “I asked him to come with us, but he didn’t want to.” “Let me explain it better,” Nami stated. Then she went into the story of all of the strange creatures, and the strange guy of whom I don’t care his name. The whole time she told the story I was holding Luffy in my lap, petting his hair. I had stolen his hat and put it on my own head. He didn’t mind obviously. He was grinning like the idiot he was and shouting/adding to Nami’s story. “And that’s what you missed.” “Well that sounds interesting,” I told her. “Mostly those creatures.” “I wish you could’ve been there,” Luffy said, looking up at me. His smile turned into a frown. “You’re never there when interesting stuff happens. Why?” I shrug. “Well, with the whole Buggy thing, I really just felt like watching the clouds. Thanks for bandaging my arm by the way.” I added the second part in Nami’s direction. She nodded her head to me. “This past time…” “It was raining,” Luffy said. The frown was still on his face. “Why aren’t you ever out in the rain? Are you really that afraid of it?” “Did something happen?” Zoro asked. Everybody’s attention was on me. “What? I need a reason?” “Yes,” Nami answered. “Who’s scared of any kind of water?” Usopp asked. “Me,” I told him. “But why?” “I have my reasons.” “Why?” “Because I can’t walk.” “What?” Luffy shouted. I winced a little, since he was so close to me. “What’s the matter Luffy?” “You can’t walk?” “You idiot!” Nami shouted, hitting Luffy over the head. His head was hit in my direction, making his head hit mine, and mine to hit the mast. “She was obviously kidding!” I shook my head, to try to get the dizziness out of it. “I’m serious,” I said, tilting my head to the side. “Why would I lie?” “You can walk though,” Usopp said, spazzing out for some strange reason. He was waving his arms around in the air. “Because I stay out of the rain and any kind of water.” “How does water affect your legs?” Zoro asked. “Would you believe me if I told you they were made of metal?” I asked, laughing a bit. Luffy and Usopp shouted in surprise. “Be serious,” Nami said, giving me a look again. “I can’t tell you the real reason,” I told her, smiling. She sighed. “Is this what you avoided earlier as well?” I nodded happily. “Yep. The same exact reason.” “So wait, can you drink any liquids?” Usopp asked. I nodded again, less hyper. “Then how much water affects you?” “Let’s just say if a glass of water were to spill on me, it’d be the same. As long as I just drink anything, I’ll be fine.” I saw Usopp’s face just then. He had that look as though he had an idea. “And if I find out you’re trying to see what happens, I will come find you and stab you.” I pat my stomach. “Oh wait, those two are gone.” I looked down and didn’t see the tip of the knife in my cleavage either. “Hmm…I wonder if I left that other knife on your island.” I shrugged. “Anyways, I can easily get a knife from the kitchen Usopp. So don’t you try anything. You’ll find out when you need to.” “She goes through on her threats,” Luffy said with a happy smile. “One time she told me if I took her candy, she’d kick me across the island. And I still wanted the candy, so I went and took a piece. And a minute later I was flying over the island.” “I told you not to touch it,” I told Luffy. “You just never learn.” I poked him on the top of his head. “So no touchie the candy that belongs to Viv again, alright?” “Okay,” he pouted. “I’ll share,” I told him, making him smile. “Maybe.” His smile fell, making me giggle. “Although, I did find that random house you said was in the middle of the forest,” Luffy said, thinking. “I told you it was there.”

smile And onto the Baratie! The story will slow down within the next arc or so...For the most part anyways >.>
Chapter 6- To the Baratie! [Vivian’s POV] I sighed, just laying on the deck next to Nami’s chair. She was reading a navigation book, Usopp was cleaning his slingshot, Zoro was asleep on the top of the cabin, Luffy was carrying cannonballs onto the deck, and I was watching the clouds. My and Nami’s shoes were at the foot of her lounge chair. Luffy dropped the crate of cannonballs onto the deck, scaring Usopp. I just glanced over to Luffy, then back up to the sky. “Whew, sucker’s heavy,” he said, leaning on the box. “What the hell is that?” Nami asked, looking away from her book to the box Luffy had been carrying. It said danger on the side, so I’m guessing something dangerous. But that’s just my guess…Then again I could smell the powder, so I already knew what was in it. That, and I had asked Luffy what he was doing before he had gone to get them. “Found it in the store room,” Luffy answered her. “It’s a crate full of cannonballs,” Nami answered, leaning forward to look into the box. “I figured since we have our own cannon now, we could get in some target practice,” Luffy said, pointing at the cannon that we had on deck. Usopp chuckled. “Just leave the cannoning to me.” He rubbed his chin as he continued. “I hearken back to the time when I was three years old and jumped on a passing cannonball, riding it half way around the world.” Luffy ignored him completely. “So, how do you work this thing?” He was rubbing the top of his hat, as though he were imitating scratching his head. “Zoro! You know how to shoot this?” His shouting didn’t seem to wake Sleeping Beauty up though. “He’s asleep,” Nami informed Luffy. “The guy sleeps constantly.” “He’s no fun,” Luffy said childishly. “You know, just to the south of here is a reef that would make for some excellent target practice,” Nami told Luffy while looking at her map. She looked up at him after she finished talking to see the smile on his face. “Let’s go! For real guys! What’re we standing around here for?” Luffy continued to babble on about it, so I just headed to the back of the ship to watch the water while in my own thoughts. “Mommy…Daddy…” I sniffled. “Mika…Yami…” “Hey little girl, what’s wrong?” a red haired man asked me. He wore a straw hat on his head. “Momma and daddy,” I started. “Mika and Yami…They’re gone.” Fresh tears poured down my ten year old cheeks. “Did they go somewhere?” he asked, kneeling down to be my height. I shook my head. “Can you take me to them then?” he asked. I nodded slightly and grabbed his hand tightly, walking down a path from the pier and into a village. There were bloodied corpses everywhere, but I ignored them. I walked to a light blue house and opened the door. I walked down the entrance hall. In the living room, which was an open archway to the right, were a five year old boy and two year old girl, both having been cut across the neck, thrown carelessly onto the beige couch. Their blood stained the cushions. I continued until the kitchen, where I opened the door without stepping in. My father was face down on the ground near the stove, three knives sticking out of his back. “This is horrible,” the man said, having seen three of my family members. “What about your mother?” I pulled his hand and went upstairs and down the hall, where the stench of blood was thicker. I opened the bathroom door, but refused to look in there. My mother laid in the bathtub, full of my family’s blood, along with a few shots to the heart. She was the only one on our small island who died showing the truth of our island. I could see the red haired man’s eyes widened. “What in the world?” “They were killed while I was in the woods, playing,” I explained, looking at the floor. “Are you the only one left?” I nodded my head. “Everyone’s gone.” I looked up at the man’s face, fresh tears falling once again. “I’m all alone.” “And how long have you been alone?” “Three days,” I answered with a sniffle. He seemed to consider something until he bent down and picked me up. “How about this? I’ll help you by burying everyone on this island to keep your secret, and then take you with me. A kid your age can’t survive here.” “Why-why’re you helping me?” “I may be a pirate, but I am a nice guy.” My eyes widened. “You’re a pirate?” He nodded with a smirk. “And if you feel up to it, I’ll tell you all these stories about pirates. In turn, you can explain about your mother.” “She wasn’t the only one,” I told him, immediately knowing what he was asking. He wanted to help me, so it’d be better if he knew everything. “Everyone on the island is like that.” “You’re all-” An explosion knocked me out of my memory. I blinked and looked around before remembering who was supposed to be playing with a certain big gun…Obviously Luffy had either figured out how to use the cannon, or someone else was messing with it. “Hey what’s so loud down there?” I barely heard Zoro ask. “Shut up!” I called, laying down on my back and closing my eyes. “I was thinking and you guys interrupted me.” “Like you think,” Zoro snorted. “Shut up,” I called. “Moron.” Despite trying to get back to my memory, I was pulled out of it already, and didn’t want to think of it anymore. So, I got my lazy a** up and headed into the kitchen, where everyone congregated soon after. Zoro was on the floor, leaning against our fridge, Usopp and Luffy were on one side of the table, and Nami and I were across from them. “Hey hey hey!” Luffy suddenly said, turning to face me. “Vivian! Usopp’s our sniper!” “Congrats Usopp.” Usopp tried saying he was captain, starting Luffy on defending his title of captain. “You know guys, I was thinking,” Luffy suddenly stated turning from his argument with Usopp to face Nami and I. “There’s one other position that we have to fill before we can head out to the Grand Line.” Nami looked up from her writing to look at Luffy. I just continued to rest my head in my hand. “You’re right,” she started. “The kitchen is really nice on this ship. Just pay me and I’ll do it.” “Or let me do it for free,” I told them, snickering when Nami kind of pouted at the thought of not gaining money. “Suppose it is vital for long trips,” Zoro said from his spot on the floor. “No decent pirate ship should be without one,” Luffy stated. “A musician.” I snorted and then started giggling to myself. I somehow knew he’d go back to that, but I was hoping he had the common sense to realize we needed a cook first. “Are you an idiot?” Zoro asked. “You must be not to notice your captain was one,” I stated, giving him an innocent smile when he glared at me. “What do you think we’re doing out here?” Nami asked. “Just when I thought you were gonna say something smart,” Usopp added in. “But we’re pirates,” Luffy defended his reasoning. “Pirates sing a lot. Didn’t you know?” I heard something being smashed and then someone shouting at us. “Get out here you damn pirates!” “Someone’s not pleased,” I stated, getting up and pushing Zoro out of the way of the fridge so I could get myself some cheese. Luffy opened the door and looked out of it and down to the deck. “Hey! What the hell? Who’re you?” “Shut up! Who I am means nothing…Ya stinkin’ pirate!” I walked out the door as someone, I’m assuming it’s the same one who was yelling since there’s no one else outside, hit the railing. Luffy jumped out of the way. “I don’t think we stink,” I stated, sitting on the floor and hanging my legs off where the railing use to be. “In fact, I take a bath every day.” A quick glance behind me told me Nami and Usopp were hiding since the door was closed. Zoro was probably too lazy to move where I pushed him at. I took a bite of cheese as I scrutinized him. He wore a purple shirt under a blue jacket with some white pants. His glasses were weird in my opinion, since the reason they stay on is because of something that went around the back of his head, like a band of some sort. He had a kanji symbol of some sort on his left cheek, and to finish it off, he held some kind of lame sword slash knife. There’s no other way I can describe it beside lame. Zoro’s swords are much better and sharper. Oh and longer, let’s not forget that. “I’ve lost count of all the pirate heads we’ve taken,” the guy stated, staring down Luffy and completely ignoring me. “And now you guys think you can kill my partner?” “What do you mean by partner?” Luffy asked. I’m assuming he means someone he works with, or a friend. It could be both…But I won’t say that out loud, mostly because they’d ignore me. “Look, I don’t know what this is. Just stop wrecking my ship!” Luffy grabbed the guy and tossed him at the side of the ship. “Lost by a hair,” the guy mumbled. “You’re wrecking the ship yourself Luf,” I stated. He kind of spazzed a bit before he stopped and asked. “Who is this guy?” “Johnny, tell me that isn’t you?” Zoro asked, coming out the door. “I’m guessing it might be some guy named Johnny,” I told Luffy. “Huh?” this ‘Johnny’ asked. “Who’s saying my name like they think they know me or somethin’?” He looked up where I was, making me bend my neck back to look behind me as well. Zoro was standing right behind me, trying to look all cool. When he saw him, he jumped a bit. “Big bro Zoro!” “Johnny. It is you.” “What’re you doing here big bro?” “Where’s Yosaku? Isn’t he with you?” “What’s going on?” Luffy asked, looking like the confused moron he is. “You guys know each other or something?” “No, they’re just strangers having a pleasant conversation,” I told Luffy, jumping down, while holding my skirt, to walk past Johnny and Luffy. I walked over to the sheep’s head, and took off my flip flops so I could sit on the head and eat my cheese. As everyone talked, I just sat there watching the ocean. After a while of talking and Usopp and Luffy being the dumb asses they are, we got Johnny’s buddy, Yosaku, onto the ship. Nami diagnosed him with Scurvy and made Luffy and Usopp squeeze limes, or lemons, I generally don’t know or care, into his mouth. At the moment, Yosaku was a purplish color, not a normal color for humans. He wore some kind of weird red headgear covering his forehead and the sides of his head, a black shirt with a white sash wrapped around his stomach, yellow plaid shorts that stopped halfway to his knee, and a green overcoat. All in all, he bored me, so I went back to watching the ocean. I did keep my attention on some of their conversation though. Turns out those two idiots were bounty hunters with Zoro. I’m not sure how though, because they don’t seem to be as good as Zoro would be. They’re probably one of the wimpier ones that Zoro just somehow got along with. Later that night, we had Yosaku in a bed. The rest of us were in the kitchen. We were sitting almost exactly where we were this morning, except Zoro wasn’t in front of the fridge, and Johnny was leaning against the counter. “Let this be a lesson to you,” Nami said, not looking up from whatever she was writing. “Yeah,” Zoro agreed. “This is the kinda trouble you run into when you live a life on the sea.” Usopp probably felt left out, so he added to the conversation. “Which means while we’re at sea, we really gotta think about how we can get the right amount of nutrients with very little food.” “It’s absolutely necessary that someone on the ship knows how to do that,” Nami said, concentrating on whatever she was writing. “I can’t really cook all that well,” I said shrugging. “I can make simple stuff, but it’s not exactly anything to keep me healthy. It’s just something to keep me alive until I can get those nutrients I need.” “That’s something we all know how to do though,” Usopp stated. “Except Luffy, who only knows how to eat,” I said, laughing at said boy as he ate some bread. “It’s necessary?” He seemed to contemplate that thought. “Right! The ship needs a cook!” He stood up. “Let’s go find us a cook!” “At least he figured that much out,” I giggled to myself. “I’m in,” Usopp agreed with Luffy, standing up as well. “Good idea. We’ll have yummy food even while we’re out at sea.” “That’s right!” Luffy had a big smile on his face. “You got it!” “A cook? I know just the place.” I looked over at Johnny. “And the food is gonna blow your mind.” “Alright! Let’s go! Where to?” “Consider yourselves warned,” Johnny told us as Luffy had agreed. “This place is close to the grand line. And I’ve heard a lot of rumors lately, that a certain Hawk eyed man you’re looking for is there.” Zoro grabbed his swords tightly and grinned at us. “Set a course.” He pointed in some kinda direction. “North north east!” So I’m just going to assume that he’s pointing north north east, just to give him some kind of credit. >>FF>> We set a course for north north east, heading to wherever we were going. I was just relaxing in the crow’s nest, staring at the clouds above me. I had made sure to get up here while the guys were all busy doing something else. “Our destination is…” I heard Johnny shout from below. “The sea restaurant, Baratie!” I stuck my head over the top of the crow’s nest to see this floating restaurant as Johnny continued talking to the others. It was pretty fancy looking in all honesty. “What d’ya think?” “Wow! It’s a big fish!” “How lovely!” “This is the coolest place ever!” “Just like I told ya, right?” “It may look like food, but does it have decent enough food?” I asked down to them. “The best around!” Johnny called back up to me. There was a sound of a horn from a ship and some bells. I glanced over and saw a Marine ship bigger than our own little Going Merry. Sighing, I jumped down from the crow’s nest, holding my skirt down with both hands. I walked over to the railing and rested my arms across it, watching the ship. It was sailing right beside us. I glanced behind me when I heard some footsteps, and saw Johnny trying to sneak away. I just shrugged it off and looked back at the Marine ship, on which a purple haired guy was now standing. There was a scar on his right cheek with a few stitches. He wore a white stripped shirt over a light blue shirt. On his knuckles were these iron bolts and iron strip it looked like. All I know, would be it would hurt if it hit someone…Well, someone normal anyway. The guy didn’t look like he could really hold his own against Zoro, Luffy, or I. “I am Iron Fist Fullbody,” the guy said, clenching his fist. “But you can just call me sir.” I sat on the railing now, my feet dangling off the edge, my flip flops still on my feet. “Heya sir,” I greeted, saluting him. “If I may say, you have a really weak look to you.” I smiled happily, swinging my feet slightly. He growled a bit then shouted to Luffy and the rest of the crew. “You there! Who’s the captain? Identify yourself!” Luffy stepped forward. “My name is Luffy!” Usopp, being the idiot he is, also stepped forward. “My name is Usopp. Got it?” “We only made our flag day before yesterday.” “That’s right Marine! And I drew it!” Fullbody let out a chuckle. “You did? Is that so?” He glanced past me and to the door where I could hear Johnny and Yosaku hiding. “Hey you two. Right there. I’ve seen you two before. You’re that bounty hunter duo that goes after the small fish, right?” Ah, so they weren’t as good as Zoro. I figured as much. “Yeah well we…” Johnny started. “So, you’ve finally been caught by pirates.” “Well actually we…” I stood up and jumped off the railing to land on the deck again, walking over to stand by the mast. I completely ignored everyone, even as a blonde woman dressed in a purple dress appeared at his arm. “Well, someone’s trying to get some action,” I snorted before they left, causing the woman to turn and glare at me. I winked to her. “Beauty before age hun. He’ll ditch you in a few days…Or you’ll see how small he is and leave him. Ah, the vanity of the rich.” He glared at me along with her now, before they both turned and walked off. Johnny shouted something before throwing a lot of wanted posters, which fell onto the deck. I saw Nami glance at them. She walked over, asking what they were as she picked up one. It was one of someone called Arlong. His bounty was twenty million Berri. She crumpled the paper in anger, which means I’ll be asking her about who he is as soon as I get a second alone with her. I was knocked out of watching Nami to hearing a cannon being shot and Luffy shouting, “Leave it to me!” He sat on the railing and had one of his legs around one of the bars so he wasn’t pulled off. “Now Gum Gum…” He grabbed onto the figurehead and the mast and let the cannonball hit him. “Slingshot!” His hat flew off and onto the deck as the force of the cannonball pushed him backwards. His hand slipped from the figurehead and he involuntarily faced the Baratie. He went face first into the back of the figurehead as the cannonball soared through the air and went through the roof of the floating restaurant. “Someone’s not gonna be pleased about that,” I stated, looking at the now gaping hole. Luffy has the worst aim sometimes. A few minutes later, some cooks, as they introduced themselves to us, came and asked who was the cause of the hole. Luffy, being the idiot he is, said it was him. He didn’t get the chance to add that it was shot from the Marine ship though as they pulled him with them. “So…anyone up for some poker?” I asked. “I have some cards in my room.” “Your captain just got dragged off, and you wanna play poker?” Yosaku shouted. I shrugged with a smile. “Sure.” “I’ll play,” Zoro stated, sitting down. He was the only one that ended up playing though. We played about two games before Nami dragged me with her to watch the Baratie with Usopp. Nami was kind of sitting as she laid her head on her crossed arms which were on the railing. Usopp was kneeling with his arms crossed, but wasn’t laying his head on them. I was sitting cross-legged on the figure head, staring at the clouds. “What’s taking Luffy so long?” Usopp asked. Nami made some weird noise. “They’ll probably make him work without pay for a whole month,” Usopp stated. “If we’re lucky, it may be a year,” I joked. “He should’ve just said it was the Marine’s fault, instead of being so freaking honest,” Nami stated. “That’s who he is Nami. If he weren’t honest, we probably wouldn’t be a crew like we are,” I told her. >>FF>> “Let’s go,” Nami said, pulling me out of my thoughts. I nodded to her and followed her to the little boat we had, so we could go to the Baratie. The Going Merry was too big to anchor right next to it. Zoro, Usopp, Nami, and I left Johnny and Yosaku on the ship. The guys were rowing, Nami had one hand on the point of the railing at the front of the little boat, and I was sitting next to her on the railing, on the same side that Zoro was rowing at. When we got there we let Usopp tie up the boat, only to hear something breaking inside the restaurant. “Well this sounds like a pleasant place,” I said, pulling my weight onto the railing then jumping lightly to the deck of the Baratie. I let Zoro open the door, not wanting to do the work myself. There was a blond haired guy in a black suit, holding up a bloody Fullbody by the face. He held a cigarette in his mouth and his blonde hair covered one of his eyes. Some cooks were on the spiral staircase in the middle of the room, looking at the scene in surprise. “Hmm, a fight,” Zoro stated. No Dumbass, it’s a ballroom dance. “Don’t ever waste food around me again,” the blond smoker stated in a very alluring voice. Something about serious guys was just so sexy. Zoro, not so much, seeing as how I already know the idiot. Actually, he is pretty sexy sometimes, but I’d never tell him out loud. “At sea, if you ever provoke your cook, you’re signing your own death warrant. Remember that.” “Yes!” I shouted, pumping my fist in the air. “Brawl in the ballroom!” “Shut up,” Nami sighed, hitting me behind the head.
