is it just me or am i the only one that has a lack of motivation to do my hw? D: i find it hard to get up in the morning to do my hw at all. id rather go on gaia or do some random web surfing than buckle down and actually do my stuff. i find it annoying cuz i always have cram the morning before and i never get enough time to finish my studying for a quiz/test. im trying to multitask but its hard to multitask with reading and ACTUALLY thinking cuz its mostly math hw and reading my txtbook for my public speaking class. srry, had to get my frustration out there ;P

I understand where you're coming from in a sense; a lot of my credits didn't transfer over when I moved states making me re-take courses I had already completed. I felt unmoved or motivated to even put any effort in since I earned the grade before. That helped lower my motivation to even try.
I look at college is the time to learn about yourself. What motivates you? Are there changes you may want to make in your life to be a better person? Breaking old habits is hard to do, but I how I managed to get through it was taking one step at a time.
Schedules and structure I crave, so I bought a day planner where I can set daily goals to get something done. I add up at the end of the week what goals I met or didn't and try to improve the next week. When it comes to study habit motivation, maybe try studying somewhere else where these distractions aren't at your finger tips. Go to the library, or have your bf help you out by taking the power cord to your computer for a said amount of time until you get what you need done. (My college offers a free seminar on motivation/stress, see if yours might as well).
Hopefully you'll be able to find something that works for you, and I wish you luck on our quest for motivation!

I always keep thinking of my goal heart I wanted to graduate with honors. So to keep me motivated, I went to our universities' website and archive of previous graduations and keep playing it. Listening to the student's name being called then some of them with honors. Then imagining myself walking in stage with my name called with Laude in the end. And all the efforts are paid off, I graduated laude. It wasn't easy at all. I still in gaia because this is my escape from studying. I also played Xbox and other computer games. I made playing hours as my reward for studying. Let say I will study for an hour then i'll play your an hour after that. I also play games that helps my brain to think critically such Civilization Revolution, and then I play booty grab in gaia when I wanted my brain to have a break from thinking. Use you gaming in your advantage...

At this point, what keeps me motivated is the fact that I'm in debt for college, so I might as well do well. In addition, it's my graduating year, so I might as well graduate with good marks.

It really helps to study in the library or in a computer lab. Personally, I start to feel guilty if I'm taking up table/computer space and go on a non-homework-related site like Gaia. That, as well as the presence of other students, keeps me focused. Hopefully this will help you too smile

I find the best thing to do really is to make a timetable. I myself procrastinate to no end but when it comes near exam time I set a time table with whatever subjects to study, when and how long. It's kept me going so far anyway. Ha ha
