I specify the little toe as I won't be going into much detail about my roleplay, more giving you the genre and at least a sense of what I want to happen.
The genre is Fantasy/Adventure, with magic being the main fantasy focus, the timeline will be modern day-ish.
Mkay, screw testing the water, I've got time to write!
In my little world there are three main types of magic: White magic, Black magic, and the Elemental Arts. White covers your healing, offensive paladin-style magic, most druid-style magic, and basically anything that would support a righteous crusdade against the dark, what? Black is your raising dead, sucking souls, turning them into a poodle with no legs, whatever else your dark little thoughts can conjure Elementalists are the neutral bunch as they have no direct quarrel with either party, their magic doesn't clash in the same way, ya get me?
In many a fantasy roleplay I use an Elemental Mage character belonging to the Corfillas Circle of Elementalists, something I made up (to my knowledge, haven't read anything with the name).
In a world of magic you're going to have the different families and all the feuds that go along with that. Necormancers are predominantly evil and want to take over the world, going against everyone who stands in their way. There are a few who practice the dark arts who try to use them for good, but let's be honest, it's a lot easier to use them for evil deeds! Vice versa for the White magic users (think clerics and paladins) where their power is much easier to use for good than evil. All making sense so far?
ANYWAY! I basically wanted to have a team of Corfillas Mages attempting to finally resolve the ever lasting good vs. evil thing forever. I will go into detail about the Corfillas and what makes them the most badassest of the Elementals.
I'm thinking four, maximum five people, and I'm not sure about having player characters as those trying to stop the group. It's a pretty messed up situation as, to end it all, the Corfillas will have to remove those, both good and evil, who stand in the way of a unified world. Not only will they have to destroy those who blatantly do evil things, but those who are Ghandi as well. A messed up premise with little glue, I know, but I would like to think I can make it work with what I have planned.
That's it for now, sorry for the disjointedness of it and the whole 'wall of text' thing going on. Be gentle with criticisms razz

I like the premise, and it's a creative idea, but in my opinion, the moral base behind the story is going to be somewhat uniform. In the standard good vs. evil battle, the neutral parties will always side with the good guys. Things could be a little more interesting if you changed the value of the White Magicians to 'order' as opposed to 'good' (Which are very synonymous in theory, but the former is more exploitable).

Perfectly understandable, something I'll have to take into consideration.
I was aiming to actually keep them neutral, as they would be removing important figures in both Order and Chaos, not picking one side. In the end everyone else would hate the Corfillas for what they had done, unifying them, and giving them a common enemy. It does lead to the Corfillas forever living under a threat of death, but at least leaves some semblance of peace behind. That make sense?
I totally know what you're saying in terms of neutrality siding with 'good', it sickens me. So, my way of doing things: just kill 'em all!

So its a team pulling a Lelouch to get the world on one side, then disappearing leaving a unified world?

No idea what that is, though the first internet hits are anime, so I'll go with that.
I suppose they do 'pull a Lelouch', if it has to be called whoever done did it first-ish. They try to disappear, at least. In the bits and bobs I've written - timelines all over the place - they still take people in and keep going whilst being hunted to extinction. Didn't think it would stay unified for long if they had no sport, what?
So it's a problem that I might have ripped off an anime I've never heard of till now?

Not ripping off per se, just adopting a similar attitude: Wikipedia Lelouch possesses very strong philosophical beliefs: beliefs that define both his actions and his motivation for them. Perhaps his most notable is that he is against . . . social Darwinism. He believes the world can live in cooperation rather than competition and conflict. To achieve this aim, he believes that the ends justify the means; he is willing to commit evil if it means bringing down a worse evil in the process. [emphasis added] in any case, this is certainly an intriguing idea.

Well as long as it's not going to be an issue. I should've guessed some of my ideas would end up being from anime, it just stands to reason as there are so many of them out there razz
If I get time I'll add more information on the whole thing a bit later today, for now I'm off to work.

This doing evil for good thing has piqued my interest. That and I wouldn't mind something to do in this guild. And Ruuvan has a special place with me for writing.
Anime roots or not. Ends justify the means plots are always fun. And I get to be all dark and creative with magic. I like it. I don't suppose you'll be tying elements to character pathos?
