So anyways I've been talking to Chris Powell and we thought it might be fun to do a detective rp... kinda like Sherlock Holmes style.

Setting : London late 1800s

Past: Jane Percy was a beautiful young woman born to an upper class family. Her father was a wealthy business man who made a fortune though shipping items back and forth between England and the new world. Jane herself was well educated and little too rebellious so it came as no surprise when she objected to her father marrying her off to a business partner of his. But no one expected that Jane would be so furious that she would run away from home and attempt to make it on her own. However wasn't long till Jane's money ran out and though she tried to get a job she found herself unaccustomed to the work of most commoners. No one's exactly when she started or if it was even her choice in the matter but Jane became a prostitute on the streets of London.

Present: Jane's father had recently passed on and on his deathbed he felt much regret for trying to force her to marry someone she didn't want to be with. In the reading of the will it's been discovered that there are certain financial matters that could not be solved without her. Jane's brother(or) sister tries to find her but there's no trace of her anywhere in London and reading the newspapers are even more disturbing as there is currentely a killer loose in London the papers are calling Jack the Ripper. Feeling unable to find his/her sister on his/her own the brother or sister decides to enlist in the help of professional detectives.

Motives would be assigned unless someone pms me with a motive they would like to have. Everyone except the detectives will have a motive and thus are suspects. If there is a role someone would like to play that is not listed please make sure it relates to basic story and pm me about it.

The person who will be playing Jack the Ripper will be chosen at random and I will pm them about it.

Name: Peter Winkerbean aka Sneaky Pete

Appearance: short, black hair, brown eyes, doesn't stand out in a crowd

Brief History: Peter is the b*****d child Baron Rathondell of Ireland and one of his wives maids. When the Baroness discovered that her maid was pregnant by her husband, she tossed the woman into the streets.

Peter's mother worked as prostitute to care for her child. She fed the boy stories on the evil of the upper classes and that idea was reinforced in him when a baronet who was slumming beat his mother to death when he was 16. Swearing revenge, Peter joined the underworld of London and learned to burglary from anyone who would teach him.

At the age of 20, Peter snuck into the baronet's home and murdered him, avenging his mother's death. This(and the fact he was extremely adept at breaking and entering) earned him the nickname 'Sneaky Pete.'

Peter continued his career, stealing exclusively from the upper class of London. Unlike Robin Hood, Peter kept all the money and squandered most of it on drinking and whoring. Jane Percy became his favorite girl and he saw her exclusively until her disappearance.
