In the southwest corner of the island, there is a beautiful, rolling expanse of hills that stretches on for miles; unlike the craggy mountains of the north, these are gently-sloping, small things, easily traveled. The grasses here make perfect fodder for prey-beasts - unsurprisingly, it's also a haven for predators such as Mokai.

There aren't many places to hide; few trees lend their shade to the grasslands, and those that do are spindly and pitiful things. The landscape is very much wide open, and easily reachable by airship. That said, there's also nothing much here to do; it's a lonely, somewhat desolate place, rarely traveled by human feet.
To the north and northeast, hills rise gradually into thickly forested mountains, capped with snow.
To the direct east, forests rise from the grassy carpet, leading to a labyrinth of gullies and ridges complete with numerous waterfalls.
To the south and west, the hills give way to massive sand dunes and, ultimately, sandy beaches that dip into the ocean.
