It's not too long and it's very different from the conventional anime plots

I don't like the anime, but I'll try the manga as soon as I get the first book from my rediculously slow library

And I'm planning on getting to it after D. Gray-Man.

The list I'd suggest is(and I'm going by my favourite anime company, FUNimation and not getting in any specific manga company):
Spice and Wolf, Baka and Test, Ouran High School Host Club(a personal favourite!), Kuroshitsuji or more comonly known as Black Butler(other personal favourite!), Sgt Frog, and finally, Hetalia

Ouran is a favourite of mine too. You do know that volume 17 is coming out in December and then there's another one that doesn't have a realse date yet. I've already read all of it online, but I'm re-reading it because I love the extras in the actual volumes. For Sgt. Frog, IDK if its on netflix because I don't have it. I do watch it on the interenet though. I can't wait till Paint it white comes out next month XD SUCH A GOOD MOVIE!!!!! I watched it in sub already! Oh, internet, what would I do without you? <----- I do have a life in the real world, but I the internet is my escape from reality.

i would recommend naruto first since it my fav manga...but uve probably seen it by now...so how about full metal alchemist its not a manga that drags on and its actually funny neutral

Have you ever watched Soul Eater? Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) and D.Gray-man are also amazing!! Well these already be listed but: Bleach, Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist. Those are long but the series are really long. Those are also manga too if you wanna read them.
