Do you think there is one?
Coming from the Shaolin Kempo side, I have to say no. My whole purpose in the style is to stay on my feet. If you're on the ground, there are some techniques to facilitate getting back up.
But I have to admit, if anyone started grappling and I'm down, I would be at a loss, and resort to the rougher, plainer, fight-tooth-and-nail instinct.
PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE, I KNOW THIS SUBJECT ALMOST BEGS FOR ARGUMENT, BUT PLEASE DON'T.

martial arts continues to evolve and each style has to adapt to this constant change. one could focus in one style and be pure to it of course with this comes certain flaws and weaknesses. but by combining two or more styles your increasing your arsenal of course at the same time you may be conflicting with your teachings from these two styles. one style could say the ground is the best place to be wile the other says its better to be on your toes. i often suggest to new martial artist that it is important to build a foundation first before you take on a second style.
