Author/Artist Introduction
HI!!! I'm Vyetta... A wannabe author. I love Yaoi, obviously, and I'm in the process of trying to start up my own Yaoi Web Comic. This story, Guitar Picks and Cherry Blossoms, was one that I came up with a looong time ago... I created an entire script for a comic, and never drew a single page. I loved it so much, I didn't want to ruin it with my less-than-amateur comic-page skills. So, I'm redoing it in story-form! I hope you enjoy... I put a lot of heart into this. Though not a lot of my IRL friends know them, Cody and Blake are characters I hold near and dear to my heart.
And I'M A HORROR WRITTER!!! My strength is in horror... So I'm so sorry if this sucks... Again, I put my heart and soul into it... so I hope it doesn't. I'll add little pictures at the beginning of each chapter, just because I think it'll help envision the characters better.
Feel free to comment and critique! I LOVE feedback!!!!

~*~ Guitar Picks and Cherry Blossoms ~*~ Prelude: Our Last Day...(Picture Coming Soon!!! I'm at school so... After school today or tomorrow, most likely)
Elwood City, despite it’s name, was a quiet little town; a very small community somewhere in Illinois where everyone knew everyone… The population was mostly human with some Nekos, Wolves, and other anthromorphs thrown into the mix. This day, it was foggy… in the center of the town a playground sit empty but for a little boy sitting on one of the swings. He was a Neko, with pink hair that ended just below his shoulders in an unkept mess and a long tail the drug on the sand below his hanging feet. His purple eyes were full of tears, glued to his dirty, bare feet, and his head rested against the chain of the swing.
Another boy called out from the fog, “Cody! Are you here?”
The Neko’s eyes rose, and he brought his head away from the swing; about to jump off and make a run for his shoes that lay at the edge of the swing set.
A black-haired human boy came out of the fog near his shoes; blue eyes blinked toward the other, “Cody… I’m sorry, please don’t run.”
The Neko, Cody, stopped and clung to the swing, choking out, “Go away, Blake! Just go!”
“Please… Just listen to me.” Blake came closer, “I really am sorry, I was going to tell you but… I knew you’d react like this…”
Cody sobbed, “I can’t believe you! I’m supposed to be your best friend… Why wouldn’t you tell me you’re moving tomorrow? I had to find out from your mom when I came to see you!”
“I’m sorry…”
Cody looked to him, looking into the older boy’s blue eyes, “Y-you’re suppose to be here to protect me… You pr-promised…”
Blake frowned deeply, “Cody…” and picked up the other boy’s shoes before moving nearer to him, “I know… I was upset when my parents old me. But I didn’t want to go and have you crying being the last thing I saw. I know I was being selfish… I’m sorry…”
“The other boys are going to start beating me up again…”
“No,” Blake assured, “They won’t. I’ll come back as much as I can, my mom promised! And if I hear about them doing anything to you, I’ll hurt them so bad their grandchildren will have bruses!”
Cody didn’t respond, he just looked away.
Blake came nearer still, “Or, if you prefer, I can do worse than that.” He giggled, “I can hurt them AND sneak into Bradely’s house. I can dye his hair pink with purple poka-dots. Would you like that?
Cody smiled softly and turned, wiping away tears, “And draw hearts all over his face, and maybe a unicorn. In permanent marker! So he can’t wash it off before school!”
Blake laughed, “Yeah, sure, whatever you want.” Smiling that kind smile that made him look much more mature than he should have been; he was 9 in reality, only a year older than Cody, but he seemed so much older… like a teenager… Cody always assumed it was because Blake had a lot of younger sisters he helped his parents take care of…
Cody’s smile faded just slightly, “You promise you’ll visit?”
“I promise, as often as I can. Now come on!" Blake gave the younger boy his shoes, “Let’s get some ice-cream! Mom gave me extra for my allowance today, so we can even go see that stupid movie if you want.”
Cody blushed and took his shoes, putting them on before jumping off the swing, “It’s not stupid! The first one was really good!”
Blake laughed as he took Cody’s hand and walked toward the ice-cream parlor, “Yeah, okay. All the movies you like are for girls.”
“Stop picking on me!”
