Coming off my worst weekend of picks. Time to bounce back!
Philadelphia at Buffalo- Both teams coming off tough losses. The Bills suffer their first loss as they allow the Bengals to bounce back, and the Eagles give up yet another 4th quarter lead to the 49ers after leading 23-3 part way into the 3rd quarter. The woe's for the Eagles aren't as bad as they may seem. They play teams tough, but cannot close out games going into the 4th. If they can play with the same intensity in the 4th as any other quarter, then they will get back on track. I just don't see it happening this week against a tough Bills team who look to bounce back as well. WINNER- BUFFALO BILLS
Arizona at Minnesota- This just might be the easiest remaining game for the Vikings, sure they still have struggling Carolina, Atlanta and Denver up ahead, but after watching their fall to the Chiefs I find it very difficult for them to win against an Arizona team that played tough against the 3-1 Giants, and was one questionable fumble away from possibly winning that game. The Cards have shown they are capable of hanging with the big dogs and play them tough for 4 quarters. Minnesota is great in the first half of their games, but then fall apart in the second. Talks are already rising about benching McNabb, but the problems in Minnesota runs deeper than the QB position. WINNER- ARIZONA CARDINALS
Tampa Bay at San Francisco- This game is actually a home game for the 49ers, and it came at the right moment since they have been on the road the last two weeks. Both teams have something to prove as both are 3-1 yet none have won a game against a team with a winning record. Tampa got theirs against Minnesota 0-4, Atlanta, 2-2, and Indianapolis 0-4. San Francisco against Seattle 1-3, Cincinnati 2-2, and Philadelphia. The 49ers are coming home with all the momentum with two big wins on the road, in the Eastern time zone for the first time in years. The Bucs are going on the road after a tough Monday night game where the 0-4 Colts took them to the limit. Smith isn't a great QB, but he's much better and more experienced than Painter, if the Bucs bring as many blitz against Smith, he will find more opportunities to make the Bucs suffer. He proved that last week against the Eagles. WINNER- SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Green Bay at Atlanta- Wow, what a rough start for the Falcons. In a year I thought they would win the South yet again and make a push for a possible Superbowl run, they struggled to a 2-2 start and trail the Bucs and Saints in the division race, with Carolina right on their heals. The Packers so far are doing everything you could ask of from a defending Superbowl champion team. Many are already talking about Brady winning league MVP, but Aaron Rogers is having quite the year himself so far. Last week he racked up 408 passing yards and 4 TD in the romp against Denver. At first glance during pre-season I thought this had the potential of being an NFC championship game preview. Instead it looks to be a rout in the making. WINNER- GREEN BAY PACKERS
Chicago at Detroit- A Detroit home game on Monday night Football!? When was the last time this happened? Detroit is THEE surprise team so far this season. They are currently in second place in their division, right where I predicted they would be, but going 4-0 and two back to back amazing come from behind victories the way they did, I never saw this coming. The Bears are one season removed from an NFC championship game appearance, this year they have struggled to a 2-2 start, Cutler and the Bears offense continue to struggle in the Mike Martz offensive system, and you better believe Suh and the rest of the Detroit defensive line are just licking their chops eager to get at Cutler and make their first big statement of the season. Only once have they prevented a team from scoring at least 20 points or more. WINNER- DETROIT LIONS
Recap- Bills, Cardinals, 49ers, Packers, Lions
