Phew! You must be entirely exhausted because of this time traveling. I mean you went through what, like a million different scenarios? Succumbing to the droop of your eyelids and an urge to get back home, you head back to the Ilex Forest and look for Celebi's shrine. Strangely enough, there is no sign of Celebi, just a tiny Caterpie...with a note in it's mouth.
...Strange.
To whom it may concern,
I'm currently away at the moment. It is quite draining, holding the responsibility of a Forest guardian, and so I've taken a little vacation. No worries! This note will tell you how to find me. I've left you my faithful guide, Sir Caterpie, who will guide you along the way. He is, however, quite scatterbrained, so please be careful on the way here.

After you finish reading the note, the Caterpie proceeds to crawl its way up your shoulder. Once comfortably settled, he wiggles one stubby appendage at you.
"Greetings, my name is...Catcher? Yes, my name is Catcher."
You pale a bit, feeling a bit uneasy over the fact that the Caterpie had trouble remembering it's name. How in the world will it navigate the forest if something as simple as a name has already caused problems? Deciding not to dwell on such a depressing fact for too long, you ask Catcher which direction you should head in first. The Caterpie stares at you before rubbing the back of i's head. Tail swiveling back and forth, the Caterpie points in a rather vague direction.
“Well, uh, you see, I'm not the best with directions.” He says, and to be honest, you aren't surprised at all about his revelation. “But I'm sure you've been here before right? Everyone visits here at least once!" Catcher flails its stubby arms, excitement on its face. You however, still have some doubts. With this guide though, your doubts seem quite justified in this case.
Deciding that you really want to get home, you offer to help Catcher. Looking at the possible paths, you decide to...
o1. Head down the cleared path, which has little to no obstructions
o2. Look to the left and notice a river that goes around the bend. Summoning some obscure water pokemon you've obtained, you use Surf
o3. Head through the more gruff looking path - you think you see something glowing up ahead

o1. As you head down the path, you end up in a clearing, safe and sound
o2. Traveling through the river, you're momentarily stopped by a Gyrados! Luckily you're Pokemon knows Sheer Cold. You 1-hit KO it and keep going, eventually ending up in a clearing
o3. As you try and make it through all the intertwining vines and overgrowth, you trip over a vine. Or at least you though it was a vine until it moved. You try and scuttle back only to be pulled by a very irate shiny Venusaur. Looks like it's good you trapped! BAD END

You've finally made it to a nice safe clearing. Looking around, you notice how serene the forest is, and take a moment to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you. You also notice three different paths in front of you. Catcher hops off your shoulder and scurries down the middle path, hardly casting a glance in your direction. Not wanting to get lost, you run after him, and with a huff, you come to a stop behind Catcher. The little Caterpie is pacing to and fro in front of an old cave. A low sound can be heard from within, and you shift from foot to foot, a little nervous.
"Well," says Catcher, "I believe the cave is safe now." You look up in alarm. "There used to be a large monster in the cave, but we haven't seen it in awhile." Catcher tilts it's head at you and waddles to where you stand. Bending down, he situates himself back on your shoulder.
"So, would you like to take the cave, or...?
You shrug your shoulders, wondering if you should take this chance or not.
o1. Finally, after much back and forth, you charge headfirst into the cave
o2. There's a pathway above the cave! You decide to use Fly and go on your merry way
o3. Doubling back to the three paths, you take the one on the left, only to encounter a rocky wall. Good thing you have Rock Climb!

o1. Three steps into the cave, you trip and fall, Catcher flying off your shoulder. Looking down, you grumble, and pick up the thing you tripped over. Congrats! You've found a Moon Stone! Face bruised, but happy, you pick up Catcher and make it through with no problem
o2. The air feels great up here! Huh..? What's that thing coming towards you? You scream and fall to your doom as a flock of Beedrills rush at you BAD END
o3. After all that climbing, you emerge at the top, then proceed to climb down the other side of the cave
