Please share your November finished projects, projects in the works and/or ideas.

I've been working of projects, but have no pictures as of yet.

The first project was inspired by a tutorial I found of an easy fix for back gap in jeans. I was in serious need of this as my butt-to-waist ratio is epic. I used two shorter pieces of 1" elastic to avoid the middle belt loop, but it wasn't enough. I'm going to try a couple more pieces and if that doesn't work I'm going to rip all of them out and butcher my jeans. I really need to learn how to tailor pants.

Second project is a baby blanket for my newest daughter. I had bought the fabric before she was born, but was too huge and uncomfortable to actually work on it. Also I found my intended item to be a bit daunting as I'm not the most advanced seamstress, but was lucky to find a picture tutorial this evening.

Third will be to make a busy book for Lilah. She's in desperate need of something entertaining that can travel with us. I have a few ideas I'm collecting on Pinterest.

Hmm, for some reason my comment to this got completely eaten. ARG!

Anyhoo, a short recap on it was, maybe you should try something similar to the children's adjustable pants? I found a link to a tutorial about it:
Adjustable jeans
This looks like it would work better and give a much more even adjustment throughout your pants instead of gathering them all at the back. Perhaps you can do all 3 for a more even fit across the board.
